Let's just start off with I ordered a custom 32' long 9' tall triple axel trailer almost 5 months…read moreago. And I will never have the trailer I ordered. I found this place because it was near my house. I did shop around many places and the price here was at the low side. So I decided to go with them. I was originally told that the trailer would take anywhere between one and two months to finish. I went over all of what I wanted with them. Even educating them on different parts of a trailer. That should have been a red flag right there. I was very excited and I told them that if there was any questions that they could reach out to ask. I even said I was willing to go to the manufacturer to make sure it was done right. After 2 months I was sent some pictures of the trailer. Looking at the pictures I noticed the axels were wrong, one of the infloor D-rings was covered by where the generator box would be going, also the overhang on the back was not there. I informed Tailor made trailers and they said that is what I wanted. After going back and forth. They figured out they sent the wrong form over for them to make. I went in to talk to them and I figured that they would make sure the next trailer they were going to make, would be right. Now over 2 months in they started again. And again I reiterated that if they had any questions I would be available. A couple months later I finally get a text saying it's done. I go to pick it up and again it was wrong. It was missing the rollers on the back the spare tire was not in the spare tire compartment. I had wanted the fuse box to be able to be plugged in via a plug on the outside front. That was not there. Instead there was a hole in the generator box floor for the cable to go through. But the hole wasn't big enough for the cable to go through. I had been looking for help with what size generator box I should get with no answers from them and when I saw the size it was huge. Sticking into the trailer almost half way. I told them It needed to be fixed. I even agreed to pay an extra $1,500.00 to make it right. Seeing where the confusion of the generator box could have come from. They sent it back and today it was finally done. I went to pick it up and there were missing screws out of the front metal. Scratches in the tongue of the trailer and the metal in the front. Some of the hubs were bent and one was completely different then the other 5. Let's just say I was not happy at all. Then I was told that they would not sell me the trailer and they were going to be driving it back to the manufacturer. As I was looking it over trying to decide what to do I get a text showing me my deposit was refunded. They came back out and I tried to talk to them saying that I would take it as is and fix all the things myself for what the price was minus the deposit. It still ended up being more then they quoted me at the beginning. They said no and drove it off the lot. In the almost 5 months of working with them I know of 4 trailers that people ordered that were not right. I will not be working with them anymore and I would gladly pay more to get things done right. It's a good looking trailer from afar but not when close up. Summing this up I would not recommend working with this company.

The brakes would show "Overload" on the controller and shut off during a stop - not fun! The Unit had been in several repair shops including a Camping World in Texas where the problem first appeared on vacation, and an RV place in Tucker. After 4 trips to the shop and several expensive "repairs" that didn't fix the problem a friend suggested Peco. I knew from the beginning that the service staff here was a LOT more knowledgeable. They really listened to the problem and to what had been attempted in previous shops. The problem turned out to be a loose ground wire, which they found in just a few minutes. They then road tested the unit TWICE with me just to make sure. These folks are polite, efficient but most importantly - they know what they are doing. I highly recommend their repair shop.

I rented an RV from Lightnin for a trip to Yellowstone and it was one of the best vacations I ever…read morehad. Considering that all their units are very new I would say it was actually a bargain. When I picked up the unit they gave me a brief and very helpful tutorial (being a first time user) and then off I went with a fully prepped and cleaned RV. The trip was over 4000 miles and 11 days. During that time we had not one problem with the RV. It was more than up to the task even when climbing large hills, as is necessary in Yellowstone. ;) On our return the checkout was very quick and my deposit and refund for miles not used was returned to me very promptly. Overall the experience was so enjoyable I am now planning to purchase my own travel trailer in the future. If, however, I ever want to rent again in the future I would not hesitate to use Lightnin RV again. I highly recommend them.

This was never discussed with us beforehand, nor were we given the opportunity to approve or decline the work. More troubling, within about a mile of leaving the shop, we experienced a complete brake failure. This created a dangerous situation that should never occur after a vehicle has just been serviced. When we contacted the owner, he claimed he had informed us there was a brake shop next door if we needed further service. That statement is simply not true--no such information was provided. While the original issue was fixed, the lack of communication, unauthorized work, and the safety risk we experienced afterward are unacceptable. We strongly recommend others proceed with caution and ensure all work is clearly authorized and explained before service is performed.

I had a very unique situation yesterday afternoon as I was traveling on 285. I was hauling my two horses when a truck driver let me know that one of my trailer tires was smoking. It was an amazing sequence of events... Found a Goodyear four miles away. Howard at GY assessed the problem and found Great Escape RV 2 miles away. We literally crawled at 15 mph from the Goodyear to the RV repair shop with white smoke pouring out of the wheel well. The tire was lopsided by the time we got there. John at GERV put me at the front of the line, even though he was swamped with repairs. Unloaded the horses in the parking lot and got them settled with hay and a bucket of water that John provided. There was a chance that the drum had melted onto the stem and if that had been the case he wouldn't have been able to repair it until today. So very grateful that I didn't need a new axle! Loaded the horses back on the trailer and got home around 7:30 safe and sound. Even the managers and owner. or should I say especially the managers and owner? The only decent employee there is a friendly black guy but he's neither a manager or a mechanic and can only apologize for the incompetence there. they will overcharge you for things you don't ask for and never do the work that you do ask for and do a very poor job if they even do it at all. You will wait weeks and months and your rig will be returned in worse condition than when you got it! STAY CLEAR OF THIS PLACE!!!…read more This has been the worst customer service and repair experience I've ever encountered. I dropped my camper off for warranty repairs -- for the third time -- in February and picked it up five months later with many of the same issues unresolved... and new damages added. I've owned this RV for just one year, and the service center had it for 7 months total across 3 visits. That's unacceptable. Quality Control = Nonexistent * Scratches on the interior trim and slide surrounds * Child-level caulking job * Trim installed at awkward angles, loaded with visible nail gun marks * Mismatched crayon color sticks to hide damage * Broken glass shards, nails, staples under the slide * Broken main slide window (which they tried to hide at first) * Improperly installed seals -- critical for 4-season use * Sloppy electrical work with wires flopping around Instead of making proper bracket adjustments, they shoved in shims to prop up the slide. Even the reclining couch was reinstalled so poorly, it no longer functions properly. Poor Communication & Unprofessionalism When I pointed out their mistakes, I was met with anger and defensiveness. They actually said "It's just a camper." NO -- it's our investment, our family's time, our memories. And if you've ever met Angry Anthony or dealt with Beehive Betty, you'll understand exactly what I mean: * Condescending "bless your heart" energy * Eye rolls and excuses * Flu season blamed for months * Total lack of ownership They held my camper hostage, performed subpar repairs, and dragged the process out long enough to push me out of warranty. ‍ "Tricks" and "Fixes" from Magicians, Not Technicians I didn't bring my RV to a magic show -- I expected professional repairs, not "tricks" and corner-cutting. Loose bolts, misaligned components, new holes, and shoddy craftsmanship. Using silicon sealant where it doesn't belong just to save a buck. Thanks for the: * Extra dents * Scratched cabinets and table * Sawdust mess * Misaligned slide seals * More headaches than I can list DO NOT TRUST THIS PLACE If you value your RV, your time, and your sanity -- STAY FAR AWAY. They will waste your time, damage your camper, and then gaslight you when you demand accountability. We were forced to make an insurance claim for vandalism on everything they have damaged on the rv. Insurance company estimage is for $5800 in visible damages caused by Camp Rite in Loganville. The Insurance company won't cover damages caused by poor workmanship/craftsmanship. The estimated costs of those repairs is upwards of $7000. Please take this warning and stay away from this place. Posted pictures of just a small amount of the damages. They also missed some line-x in the tie-down holes on the bed, and didn't get a great line where the bed meets the cab, not super critical, but if i had noticed it while i was there I would have asked them to fix it. While working on the truck the owner asked me where I purchased my running boards, and when I told him amazon, he promptly turned around and, not one foot from my face, yelled, "What the F*** are you doing supporting those A**H****?!?!" That is an exact quote!! Also before I left they glued a "line-x of Lawrenceville" plastic placard into the bed of my truck, and as soon as I saw it I asked them to remove it. The owner first tried to tell me it was to verify warranty work (blatant lie as that is done by the truck's VIN), and when I told him that was not acceptable, he told me, "don't worry, you'll get used to it!" I explained that I would not get used to it, and I would be removing it as soon as I got home. It came off easily enough, but left some glue remnants I'm not thrilled about.
