Seeing a lot of mixed reviews here... I haven't tried everything but I lover their breads and sweet stuff. The ladies working here are always cheerful and happy to assist. Their pricing is a little high when comparing to other bakeries around but I don't mind slightly overpaying for the quality received. read more

The sandwiches are great (get a half sandwich and it's nearly as big as a whole, they average about $5) but the service is crap. It's almost like they take pride in being rude to customers. Their sandwiches are amazing. Black bean burger is my favourite. Available with soup (always 2 options: meat and veggie), cookie and/or fruit. Always with small carrots. Their cookies, muffins and other sweeties are spectacular. Almond chocolate bar is a masterpiece. For some reason I doesn't feel guilty about too many of those. Bread is great. Huge selection. I am sourdough fan: rosemary, cranberry, Yukon, rye. Staff is very helpful and I am always leaving full, because they force me to taste everything. I absolutely love the bread here! I just walk downstairs from work and already passing this shop I can smell all of the delicious bread baking that makes my mouth drool. I sometimes drop in to get their breakfast sandwiches which are really tasty. I usually get the egg, cheese, and turkey sausage on english muffin and normally when you buy something they always ask you for the samples they have out for the day. Disappointing. When I order sandwiches from a bakery I expect to get soft, crusty fresh bread.The bread is nothing to write home about, for $7 for a ham and cheddar sandwich, it better be good. I can make this exact sandwich at home for $1 with bread from a grocery store. The sandwich took about 25 mins to make! Seriously! If you plan on getting soup remember to bring a spoon from home. Tiny little shop between the QFC & Bartells in Factoria, but well worth the stop for some delicious, fresh bread. The Apple Cinnamon Crunch is by far my favorite! I could eat it every day. And they always have some samples so you can taste. read more

Loved their honey whole wheat bread for years but finally tried a sandwich and I was pleasantly surprised. I think there was 8 ounces of just turkey and another 8 ounces of bread and toppings it was huge! I could only eat half. My boyfriend devoured his turkey veggie Swiss sandwich on honey wheat. I savored my turkey havarti cranberry on honey wheat. Worth going back for and worth the crazy lady who cut in front of me in line and ordered a million gluten free things only to buy a brownie as well hehe. I love food trends. read more

First time going here, I work so close to it, and most of my co-workers go and say they love it so decided to give it a shot. They gave me a little sample of the many choices of breads they have and it was delicious. But I ordered a sandwich to my liking. I love that I get those chose ALL my topings or whatever, and I got a chicken soup. They were both very good. I am not a fan of the price but I can see why they are priced that way. I bought a berry cream cheese bread from the store. Later found out that the bottom of the bread is cover with apple cinnamon sause. It's probably good news for those who like apple cinnamon, but sadly I don't like apple cinnamon at all. I came to know GH when living in Idaho. The place is awesome but by far the best thing about it is their sour dough. It comes from a starter that is over 100 years old. It's amazing. The problem: the Factoria location doesn't have it. When I asked about it they said it was because they just couldn't get the recipe right. This is a real shame cause I would go here for lunch everyday if you could. There has to be some way for a bakery that is part of a franchise to figure out how to make it, perhaps from other franchisees? I will still go for your awesome selection of sweet breads, but unfortunately I don't ever think of this as a lunchtime decision. read more

If you order online, I would recommend calling before you go in to pick up your order. Very disappointing to have ordered and paid and when I arrive the next day (Christmas Eve) they have no more cinnamon chip bread in the store. The bread is awesome but the cinnamon chip muffin tree was not the same. Luckily I got the last cinnamon swirl so it made adequate French toast. This one is small and cramped, no room to eat or stand if busy, BUT once you accept that, it is a 5 star joint. Customer service was friendly and efficient despite the lunch crowd lining up. I ordered the turkey sandwich on wheat with all the fixings. Delicious! I got in the lunch box which comes with a giant cookie, apple or orange, and a few adorable baby carrots in the tiniest cute zip lock baggie I have ever seen! The sandwiches are homestyle and make a great weekday lunch. They use quality ingredients, the vegetables are crisp, and the bread is good, so all of that justifies the price. I subtract one star because every time I have gone, there is only one person making the sandwiches, and there is zero sense of urgency, so takes a while even to get one sandwich. read more

I pickup up 2 loaves of bread yesterday and the service was super friendly - I'm surprised to read the reviews below. I hadn't been before and was offered a slice of spicy cornbread. I didn't really like the cornbread and was glad to sample before buying! So I picked up a loaf of old fashioned white and a loaf of honey wheat. So far we've tried the white bread and it's delicious. The texture is so perfect, that it makes a grilled cheese made at home better than a normal lunch out. I'll definitely be back! This particular great harvest is terrible. The sandwich makers look like they haven't showered in a couple weeks especially the older woman whom just in general doesn't look sanitary.. Not to mention she was on her cell phone (rude and unprofessional. You are old you should know better and have better work ethic) the manager or owner or whoever she is, is a see-you-en-tee. I saw her treat her employees like crap and then go make herself a sandwich and walk away. Seriously I have never received such awful customer service. They have an apple crunch scone, which may be my honest to goodness favorite thing I have ever eaten. Delicious apples, mixed with a crumbly cinnamon/brown sugar streusel topping. Was shocked to find out it was whole grain! Add to that, the fact that these people are extremely generous community members, and I will be back over and over again. I get sucked into this place because of dreams of fresh baked bread goodness, but everything they sell is heavy on the honey. I don't mind it so much on the cinnamon chip bread but it's too disappointing on the pizza roll. The bread is also on the doughy side. The garlic baguette is more like a loaf than the crispy shelled baguette of most places. I keep coming back though! That sugary bread sure is addictive I guess. read more

My first visit was for a delicious, healthy and quick lunch while I was running errands. I was impressed at the cleanliness of store and the variety of breads. Ordering was easy and the staff was nice. I was somewhat disappointed there was no inside seating, but with benches outside I did not mind. I was very disappointed, almost concerned, at the amount of time it took to get my sandwich. They were not busy at all yet I waited just over 20 minutes. Ultimately, I got my delicious and healthy (the sandwich was delicious) but the quick...fail. The sandwich was good enough that I would give them another try. read more
