    Hot Pastrami on Rye (4.11.24)
    Carroll N.

4.11.24 I had a bogo offer on sandwiches and $2 off any purchase that came in the mail so my hubby and I stopped in for an early dinner. They close at 6pm. He ordered the hot pastrami and I ordered the chicken salad on focaccia and a pumpkin chocolate chip muffin to go. My chicken salad was good, but the focaccia was too big for the sandwich. I removed the top slice of bread which made the ratio more proportionate. The bread didn't taste fresh and didn't have much flavor. Perhaps it wasn't the right selection for my chicken salad. My hubby liked his sandwich, but removed some of the sauerkraut as there was a lot. The muffin was good, but on the smaller side. The bakery is small and isn't meant for dine in. There are a few chairs, three counter seats by the unisex restroom, a small table for two, and a few patio tables. The unisex restroom has a barn sliding door which makes it feel homely. Aside from bread, sandwiches, pastries, and beverages, they sell prepackaged goods such as granola, oatmeal, honey, and jam.

And in conclusion....... The bread and other products are very good, but the sandwiches have gone downhill IMO. Ordered the Powerhouse assuming it was a regular Powerhouse but it was actually just onion, Romain, cucumber and tomato. That's not really my issue though. My issue is that both sandwiches used Romain and tomatoes that I'd put in compost. As you can see the tomatoes are almost white and completely flavorless. The Romain is all of the bitter yellow parts that no one wants to eat. They are only good covered in Caesar dressing. I don't think I'll order sandwiches again. For $9.75 I'd rather just buy a loaf and make 4 or 5 sandwiches. Again, it's not about value, but about using just bad ingredients.

    veggie three seed hummus sandwich

I was looking for a healthy lunch and online Great Harvest was suggested so decided to check it out. the cafe looks like a bread and healthy bakery + cafe so you can buy bread, healthy snacks, as well as sandwiches and rolls. i got the veggie three seed hummus sandwich and got the veggie roll to go. the sandwich was very big and decent with tasty hummus; the veggie roll was also good but tasted more like a rolled up pizza - good dough but needed some more veggies. overall a good and healthy lunch option

The bread (especially the potato chive), rolls, and Jewish apple cake are absolutely delicious. I will be back to try more items.

Don't expect timely service unless purchasing bread. Sandwich service is 30-40 minutes if more than 2 customers.

I will say it's pricey but I mean what do you expect for high-quality yummy desserts. The donuts filled with some type of seasonal filling is my fav! The drinks there are also worth trying. I enjoyed how fresh and cohesive the flavors were! There's also a variety of pastries offered. These are baked in their Columbia location and brought to Arundel Mills. I was intrigued by the variety of savory treats, some topped with cheese and beef, others with vegetables. I was also delighted to see macaroons, that looked pretty authentic. With all the solid options present, I landed in a pistachio donut! Now, I will say I had a bit higher expectations for the donut. The donut itself was delicious, but I would have appreciated more pistachio throughout the cream in the center or maybe even skipping out on the cream altogether. Overall I think it was certainly worth a try. The matcha, for sure, stole the show! I will be back to try another flavor of matcha and a savory pastry!

From the moment I contacted LaToya (the owner) to the time I picked up my order, everything went effortlessly! Champagne & Cupcakes has a food truck and stops by events, has a set time they sell during the weekends and takes special orders. What I absolutely love about this shop is that you can mix and match your cupcake flavors. Meaning, I ordered 24 cupcakes and was able to mix and match as many flavors as I want. I ordered the Oreo, Biscoff, Strawberry Shortcake, Red Velvet, Peach Cobbler and Banana Pudding. When I say my entire family loved these cupcakes, WE LOVED THESE CUPCAKES!! Moist, delicious and quality ingredients used in every bite!! Don't think cupcakes is the only thing this shop sells, because they carry peach cobblers, milkshakes and so much more! The fact that LaToya is so personable, friendly and professional, made my experience top tier! Did I mention Champagne & Cupcakes is Black and Woman Owned?! After my family devoured the cupcakes, I reached out to the owner to let her know that she put BOTH feet in those cupcakes! I am a new fan and a lifetime customer!! PS - LaToya is now my new BFF and Cupcake Pusher! Lol Give them a try, you won't be disappointed! And if you happen to have an extra strawberry shortcake left behind, hook me up! Lol

(Now, that makes it sound like I was driving around with some poor person, firing off dumb questions all day. Fortunately, my assistant is a robot. I think... or at least I hope. So, I skipped the doughnut--also, Dunkin', that's how you spell it, okay? Walking in, I was immediately impressed. The place is immaculately clean, bright, and inviting, with counters overflowing with gorgeous desserts. One employee was behind the counter, finishing up a cake order for another customer. While I waited, I took my time checking out their selection. They seem to specialize in cupcakes, but they also offer cannoli, cakes, cookies, brownies, and a variety of other treats. I decided on a chocolate raspberry cupcake and a cannoli. Now, if you know me, you know I don't go easy on a cannoli rating. These things are in my blood--literally. My doctor keeps insisting it's "cholesterol," but I know the truth. I ate the cannoli right there in my car (hence the lack of pictures--nobody wants to see my dashboard dining setup). Touché Touchet could use some comfortable seating, but it doesn't seem like that kind of spot. The cannoli itself was pretty good--the shell was crisp, with just a slight hint of sogginess, and it was generously filled. The filling was cheesy, sweet, and delicious, though a bit heavy on chocolate chips for my taste. I'm a purist--I prefer my cannoli unadulterated by excess chocolate. But overall? Solid. The cupcake, I brought home to share with my wife. It sat out for a couple of hours but still held up beautifully. In hindsight, I should have refrigerated it, as it was a tad dry by the time we ate it, but that's probably on me. The raspberry filling was phenomenal--bright, fruity, and flavorful--and the chocolate cake was rich and dark. Absolutely delicious. Well, now I know exactly where I'll be stopping the next time I get a sweet tooth in the area
