I really wanted to like this place after a neighbor recommended it. The delivery seems quick enough, but the food quality and quality control are terrible. Tonight we ordered two cheese pizzas. We usually finish one and save the other for quick lunches/dinners when kids have sports etc. when I went to put the second one away I discovered the pizza wasn't sliced at all. This wouldn't be so bad if the other food was good. The cheese sticks aren't mozzarella. They are some cheese blend that doesn't melt, but rather has the consistency of cream cheese mixed with sour cream when you eat them. They don't melt/stretch. The meatballs are very bland. It seems they are putting their faith in the sauce to carry the flavor, but they need some help. The fried ravioli is descent. read more

I don't get it. It's 3:30 on a Sunday afternoon and you're all out of your special? I felt like ripping their sign off their window (and I'd feel justified, mind you) but the police station is right down the block so I ordered buffalo wings instead. The man ordered a chicken parm sandwich. I don't know why we did it. We wanted pizza, dammit. We got calamari and an 18" inch pepperoni pizza. Delivery on Friday night. The calamari was premade looking but tasted fine. Came with a choice of marinara or garlic aoli. Good. The pizza is NY style cooked correctly, sauce was nice, meat was right, and the cheese, this cheese was really good. For the $ this place rocks. New go-to Friday night pizza. read more

Great pizza company I right! This is our first time trying it, it was lunch time so we decided to sample a little of everything. Stromboli had plenty of mozzarella, nice soft dough with great flavor and marinara. Beer battered onion rings are the best up and down Cedar Rd or Dominion Blvd. The cheesesteak was delicious and top notch. The kids enjoyed the cheese sticks, garlic knots and chicken fingers. It was nice to pick it up and get it home within 10 minutes. Friendly employees. I wish I would have picked up some Carolina Cupcakery cake pops or cupcakes that they offer. Looking for a new place for dinner tonight and decided on Great Pizza Co.! I ordered a large "works" pizza to go with extra sauce. Advised the wait time was approximately 20 minutes and so far so good! Returning home and eager to sample......found the pizza was not cut into slices. No problem, we have a cutter. While slicing, found the toppings were very sparingly applied and most of the pizza was lacking any sauce...definitely not the extra ordered! Our pizza crust was gooey and definitely not thoroughly cooked. The flavor was extremely bland. This pizza was a total disappointment! While I believe everyone can have a "bad" night, we will not be returning for another dinner to end up in the trash!As places are vying for customers, returning and new, looks like GPC would make every effort to provide the best product to encourage a strong and loyal customer base! read more

The pizza is ok. I'm pregnant and really want to try the pickle pizza. So instead of getting a slice my husband ordered a whole pickle pizza, a pepperoni and a Hawaiian with jalapeño. I'm not into the crust of this pizza it's pretty soggy. The pickle pizza is good, but you gotta be in the mood for it, again the crust is meh but the unique pickle pizza is good. The other pizzas were average. I may try a calzone but they won't be my number one pick for pizza night. read more

Was headed home and their sign caught my eye and thought, why not! BEST DECISION that I have made today and they have made a recurring customer! Walked in to some of the best smells that make your belly growl even if you werent hungry. Staff was very polite, helpful and answered questions easily. Don't know why I haven't left a review before now. Everything we've had has been excellent. Fried ravioli, veggie stromboli, calzone, baked ziti ,chicken parm, chicken ceasar wraps, the nacho pie. Was not impressed by this place. We ordered from here because it's one of the few pizza places that still offer green olives as a topping. The pizza was just okay, nothing special and I wouldnt order from here again. It really came down to the sauce having no flavor and was overly sweet. My inner fat kid wanted pizza. Therefore pizza was had! Tried this out for the first time ever. Had the delivery service. Took less then one hour. Pizza was real good. Nice crust. Nice cook on the bottom. Not watery or flimsy. Nice firm foldable piece. Wings were great, sausage on the pizza was kind of bland and the mozzarella sticks were kinda hit or miss however. I enjoyed the meal very much and the pizza itself was what I was after and it didn't disappoint. I recommend this be given a try. I am completely disgusted!! Saturday afternoon I placed a delivery order for myself and my daughter, after waiting over 2 hours for my food to arrive, the driver handed me the bag & said sorry it took so long, oh & it looks like the ravioli leaked all over the bag. Well, I was already upset at this point, but willing to look past the messy bag I waited several hours to receive. Then the worst part happened , I opened the box to my Italian grinder only to see tomatoes completely covered in mold, yes MOLD!! Clear as day, right on top in plain sight! I called & voice my concerns & demanded my money be refunded. The entire food order went right into the trash where it belonged! The manager said she'd refund my money but had no idea how long it would take. They couldn't pay me to eat there again. Save yourself the trouble , order jimmy johns , they delivered my order in 12 minutes!! All ingredients were fresh & delicious! UPDATE: It's now Wednesday and I still have yet to hear from a manager or get a refund for my moldy meal FINAL UPDATE: the owner/manager called and gave me several excuses & begged that I remove the reviews that I've posted. He did send a delivery driver to my house with the cash for my refund. He also informed me that they fired the manager that I originally spoke to because she did not know how to speak to customers. That's ridiculous , although she wouldn't be my first choice as a manager, she was the only one who seemed genuine & concerned. The person that should've been fired was the little brat that told me that if I needed the money THAT bad, she'd give it to me out of her own pocket. I ordered pizza & wings the day after Thanksgiving. This was my first time ordering from here. I arrived & paid for my food but had to wait for quite a while for my wings. The pepperoni pizza was so salty! I only had one slice, my husband had one, my son had 2 & the rest went in the trash. I requested all flats for my wings, but they didn't happen. Update: The owner/manager called and apologized from the lack of customer service and gave me a free large pizza to come back. I would not have expected a call from them. Kudos and props to him. Because of this will will come back. Service is horrible, called in for a large pizza for pickup and when I arrived they never made the pizza. In total it took 40 mins to make a large pizza with extra cheese. And they couldn't offer a drink or anything for their mistake. Terrible customer service. There's nothing I hate more then the sausage used on this pizza. That's not even the worst of it . The cheese doesn't exist , the sauce has zero flavor and the crust is lack luster , this is absolutely nothing like NY pizza . This is worse than a traditional chain. I ordered sausage and onion , the onions are diced and lacking quantity! The sausage is the only thing that had flavor. , and it wasn't great. Got mozz sticks too, ya really can't screw those up not sure if they were fried , but next time maybe slap some foil around them if they were ever even crispy. Can't say anything fancy other than the pizza here reminds me of the good stuff from back in NY. Just the right amount of sauce on a thin hand-tossed crust. No fancy novelties like cheese in the crust, or dipping sauce. You don't need any of those things if the pizza is good. A little garlic powder, maybe some red chili seeds and you're good! My wife surprised me and my son with a pepperoni pizza and garlic knots. The pizza was average in that there were pools of grease on the top from the pepperoni. I have tried just about every pizza delivery restaurant in the area and this just doesn't stand out. The garlic knots tasted undercooked and doughy and very large ( just a bit smaller than a baseball). The garlic sauce needs to be turned up a bit to give you that garlic burst of flavor. My wife called and they sent us out another order of knots that were much better in so far as they were done all the way through but the garlic flavor was lacking as before. The marinara sauce was a bit watery and not reduced to give you that tomato zing. It seemed as if it was canned stewed tomatoes with a little spice added. With the many many competors in the area, I will probably steer clear of this place. read more
