I was introduced to Gregorys Coffee by yelper Marianne W, a yelper out of New York who visited, reviewed and posted pictures of items that it offers. Once I noted its location being very close to my hotel in Midtown West, it became a must visit for me. I chose and made my way to this cafe which sat no more than .2 miles in distance from my hotel, DoubleTree by Hilton New York - Times Square West. I ended up ordering the Vegan Burrito along with a Olipop Classic Grape as my drink. I never hesitate ordering online via yelp because it is convenient! Most of the time my orders are completed upon my arrival or near complete. By the time I arrived at Gregorys Coffee my Olipop Classic Grape was waiting for me behind the counter; and the Vegan Burrito was completed shortly after. There was no verification for picking up my order, but my items were clearly labeled with my name and the platform I ordered off of. I am always grateful to have a smooth online ordering experience because the likelihood of me ordering online again is very high. My first response after the first bite of the Vegan Burrito was "Mmmm, that is good!" which had a taste that I will crave once again. And I would have certainly been open to ordering another before catching the subway to John F. Kennedy International Airport the day I flew out of New York; it was that delicious, * chef's kiss *. Needless to say that I had a great experience, as I have clearly indicated in this review of Gregorys Coffee. I would surely order from again whenever staying in the Midtown West area. Not a coffee drinker but Came here for a quick lunch since they have an egg white sandwich. They have a few breakfast sandwiches on their menu, including vegan options with vegan egg and beyond meat. They also have several pastry items. I've tried their chocolate chip cookie and their blueberry muffin. $5 might seem hefty for one baked good but the cookies are really chunky and the muffins are also pretty big. I haven't tried any of their drinks. I thought my sandwich was tasty, and for $8, it's a good value (albeit more expensive than Dunkin or Starbucks). When I came to pick up my order, I decided to stay to do some work for a little bit. They have free open wifi. There aren't too many tables but they have some countertops with seating too. They don't have a bathroom for customers if you do choose to stay for a while though. Overall the volume level was pretty quiet except for the employees calling out orders. Gregory is one of my favorite coffee in the city. The vegan options are excellent. I tried something new today, the vegan burrito- only because they were out of my favorite, vegan deluxe croissant. The manager Amy, behind the counter, suggested to try it with guacamole, and that made all the difference. Amy was very sweet and informed me that the owner is also a vegan and that's why vegan dishes are so delicious! Good to know! Now I always order iced Americano with chocolate, but it's freezing outside today and I had to order Americano with chocolate. It's good too. There's always folks working on their laptops in Gregorys ! It can be a little loud but the food is always good!! Pretty quick also. I definitely recommend this spot and will return soon. read more

I'm familiar with the locations they have in Jersey, so it was a welcome sight to see in the City. As usual, I ordered via the app, and when I walked in a few minutes later, my drink was ready to go. The ambiance of the space is chill and conducive to getting some work done if you want to bring your laptop/book. There is bar seating along the front by the window, and along the side. Further along in, there are a few more areas to sit down. Would I describe it as cozy? Not necessarily, but if you're there for your caffeine fix, it fits the bill. I ordered their seasonal Smashing Pumpkin Iced Coffee and was pleasantly surprised with it. I did notice that it was made with almond milk which I was not aware of ahead of time when I clicked on "standard recipe" within the app, so a note to anyone who may have an allergy or dislike to make sure you check on those details before ordering and being caught off-guard. Overall, my experience here wasn't out of this world, but I got what I needed and kept it moving. Next time I'm in the area, I will have no issue stopping by again for a caffeine fix. :) read more

Gregory's Coffee is so very very popular. I've been to one location several times. I decided to search it out today during my travels. Their pastries are not run of the mill like some coffee shops. They have delicious varieties not found elsewhere. The line today was long but they work as fast as they can. The employees are always welcoming. The service speed depends on the time of day. Some locations have outside seating which I enjoy in cool weather. At this location they check vaccination status when you pay if you tell them you want to sit inside. There's lots of people with laptops that aren't budging from their seats. I'm recommending you visit a Gregory's Coffee when you see one. It's a nice break from the hectic city streets. Gregory's Coffee never disappoints. I discovered this place about a year before COVID, it was located on Broadway and 39th Street, NY NY near a job I had just started. Post COVID lockdown when returning back to the office I discovered that it had closed and was so disappointed thinking the entire franchise had closed. To my pleasant surprise while walking on 8th avenue during my lunch break i discovered another one. Came in today and tried the Hall & Oats from the cold brew bar. It was of course delicious and refreshing, and the best part (only 80 calories for the small) just what I needed on this hot NYC day. This is establishment is very clean and the service is super quick. Prices are a bit on the higher range but hey what isn't nowadays in the city that never sleeps. What worst happened at this coffee shop in my life? This woman assaulted me and ran away. I called the police and she noticed and hid in the building next door, but a couple of minutes later she appeared as if we had fought. There's a big difference between her assaulting someone and just fighting each other. The Gregory manager said their CCTV hasn't been working for more than six months, so there was no way for her to prove anything she assaulted me and ran away. What kind of coffee shop CCTV doesn't work for more than six months? I want to ask the owner. Why didn't you fix your CCTV? Ive been on an iced chai hunt all over the city and decided to stop into Gregory's! As soon as I walked in I loved the decor.. very clean and more spacious than I thought. I was greeted as soon as I walked in. Everyone was friendly. Now as for my order I had an iced chai with caramel. I do not like my chai only because I like a more subtle taste and the chai is really strong in this drink. Also I barely taste any caramel I paid .65 extra for. Price wise it's a little expensive. Comparable to Starbucks but for the same price I can get a venti which is bigger than Gregorys large. For ambience, cleanliness and friendliness I'll give it a 4.
