I come to gregorys faitliy regularly, they have a fee locations throughout NYC. I usually come here when I'm trying to escape them office but still get some work done. This location is a little cramped but j always manage to find a spot to set up. As far as the actual food/coffee - the coffee is good and three lattes are good as well. Nothing spectacular but a nice switch up from Starbucks. the staff is friendly but you can definitely tell that some of the staff on the off hours are not as savvy when it comes to handling small crowds or specific orders. I've never been own away by gregorgys but I've always been satisfied so I keep coming back. read more

This was right next to our hotel, so we have a try, especially since it got great reviews. This place is like any other Starbucks out there. None of the did is fresh, they're all pre packaged and frozen. It's not something I'd go to of I was looking for a good breakfast establishment. read more

Came here on a whim and grabbed a small dirty chai and a brownie. Both were soooo yummy. I would definitely go back for both. Plus there's free wifi so that's always good. The only downside is the lack of seating or lack of space and somewhat rude customers. I managed to grab a seat and was reading a book and enjoying my dirty chai when some random chick wanted me to move because she had a "large party". Uhm, there were no other seats/tables and she suggested that I share a table with someone random. Super rude and obviously I declined because I was comfortable right where I was. I came here with Lapin to catch up one day. We ordered a couple of pastries and hot chocolate. The hot chocolate was good and the chocolate chip cookies and the old fashioned donuts were yummy. They do have several small tables scattered around the coffee shop but it was rather packed especially with tourists and people hogging up multiple tables. While in NYC I stayed right down the street from this coffee shop. I also frequented blue bottle, which in my opinion has far superior coffee and isn't that far of a walk. The zucchini carrot raisin bread is delicious though. The ambiance is also quite nice, spacious and modern looking. We came here probably twice a day during orientation, since we were at the Sofitel. The baristas are incredibly nice, and got us through four and five hour long blocks of lessons in the securities industry. They also didn't bat and eyelash when I ordered my daily 6-shot skinny vanilla latte. +1 for that. They also sell bottled drinks, salads, sandwiches and fruit cups and incredible looking pastries. Awesome service, I wish there was one near work. It'd be a nice change from Seattle's or Starbucks. read more

Aint no Starbucks or Pret....although you'd think it was....right until you take your first sip, then you'll know these people mean business! I am a regular here as the quality of their coffee is substantial. Its the real thing in my book. I am particularly fond of the Tiger Stripe Blend. It's a complex blend that carries tones both spicy rich with cocoa. A fantastic shot that'll grab your attention and has tons of crema. The service at Gregory's is genuinely nice. These folks pay attention, they love their coffee, and have a great service oriented ethic. The store manager Amberly is a gem! Personally, I think its a little too nice and clean. It lacks authenticity in the feel of how the store is put together but then again its mid town...not Park Slope. My go-to coffee in the area - I loved the location on Park as well, when I worked in that area. WAY better coffee than Starbucks or other chains - amazing treats, and really good smoothies. Also love the swiss oatmeal thing they have in the cooler. They do legit brew styles, single origins, etc. for the coffee snobs. Don't miss the dirty chai! Usually fast service, friendly staff. A little steep for coffee, but nothing that doesn't compare to other coffee joints. Coffee, in general, is expensive these days. Once of these days would love to try a single origin. read more

Cute coffee shop, personally do t love the coffee or the teas, but will go when I'm with friends. I have friends who love the coffee here, so it's definitely based on your taste preference. I've gotten iced tea in the afternoon, and either I didn't order the right tea or they just don't specialize in it. Didn't have much flavor at all. Very watered down :/ Don't get tea there anymore. Staff is great, definitely more friendly and update than most of the Starbucks in the area (and I love Starbucks). Never seems like they're too busy for you, which is hard to find in a coffee shop. read more

It has good space for sitting and working or talking with a friend. The prices are pretty cheap for Manhattan, and the quality is good. They also have vegan options and a couple sandwiches and bread selection. However, I'd stay away from their breakfast sandwiches. You'll get 2 pieces of mushy bread with the tiniest portions of a single thin slice of each ingredient. Basically paid for bad bread. Stick to the cold brew, that's what they do well. read more

I love Gregory's. It has all of the efficiency and cleanliness of a big chain with the charm and quality of a small town coffee shop. Their iced mocha latte's and iced coffee's are delicious. I honestly haven't tried their hot coffee yet as I just discovered Greg's this past summer. Also their baked goods are great - the chex crispy treat and smore's cookie are yummy. I've also gotten so sick of Starbucks being the only option in midtown NYC that I will gladly walk a few extra blocks to support Gregory's :) p.s. free wifi !!! read more

I don't think I could function at work without Gregory's! I am there every afternoon for my afternoon cappuccino. Service is so warm, friendly, and prompt. And the cappuccino's are perfect! Other items besides cappuccinos worth getting are their smoothies (who knew?!) Also you have to try the smores cookie! read more

London fog is very watery, didn't even steamed the milk. The barista was super rude, and it seemed like he wasn't even listening to our order half the time. He kept asking / repeating our orders. Very nice coffee shop. It has much better atmosphere than a lot of coffee shops I have gone to in the area. Their warm and iced mochas are very good and worth the price. It's a place where I can easily get work done and use my laptop. Everyone is doing their own thing. No one bothers you whenever you are trying to do something. The staff is very friendly. I think the prices are good for the quality and taste of the products. They also have good desserts. My favorite is their brownies. I continually come here just to relax or to get some work done for school. It's a great atmosphere for both. read more

The latte was decent. The coffee flavor was quite strong. The milk didn't seem to cut it enough for my preference. This place is pretty loud and has a lot of in and out going traffic. The employees here need to be trained properly. The employee didn't even greet us and just took our order. We asked for the wifi password and she just mumbled. More like 2.5. There are probably better places to go within walking distance. It was really loud right when we walked in so no sanctuary from the busy street and there were also some intense, not really plesasing smells. I enjoy the smell of coffee but this smell was so overpowering it just made me want to get out of there. I got a latte and my friend got a chai... somehow they ended up being nearly 9 dollars even though we both got smalls but no bells and whistles added. There was a decent amount of seating available inside but it was all full (which probably contributed to the noise level of the place). Maybe this place is better at other times of the day but the coffee and the price of the coffee really isn't worth it for me to go back and try again. read more

We came here 3 days in the morning during our vacation in New York and we really enjoyed their coffee. The store is very lovely and clean. The customer service from barista is GREAT and staff I met during our trip are very friendly especially the guy with a blazer on Sat. morning 3/26 who made Caramel Machiatto (assume he is a store mgr.) is very friendly and great customer service! The drinks we ordered were made with care and pay attention in detail, that's why the drinks always come up right temperature and texture. I always got a cup of oat meal with milk before start exploring New York. We will absolutely visit this place again whenever we come to New York. read more

It the midst of many Starbucks with people ordering everything from iced fruit drinks to a double espresso, GREGORY'S is a place that's serious about being a coffee place. It gets really crowded during the afternoon, but they keep the orders moving. I'd have given them 4/5 stars if they have a serious dark roast coffee on tap -- they don't.
