Have had so many good experiences here since ownership changed, but the past few times have been a let down. 55 plus minutes from order until food came today. Restaurant was busy and our order was taken quickly but the staff just didn't seem to be working efficiently on the line. Seemed like there were plenty of people working just not sure what was going on. Past 3 times the subs have been mid, with non crispy/strange tasting bread and Inconsistency on the toppings. Disappointing I hope the grom can turn it around we really love this place!

We stop in here every so often for their breakfast. You order at the counter and then they bring the food to your table so think quick casual. Portions are large and everything is super tasty. Would recommend for smaller groups as the place is not too large. A locals spot for sure.

I have been twice now. Once for breakfast and then again for lunch. The Samoan breakfast burrito is very tasty! I do recommend. I had the chicken salad wrap for lunch. I tasted too much of the cream cheese spread. It was okay, but my boyfriend got a sub and his sandwich I thought was more tasty than mine. There is a secret menu available. The location has parking, but this place is a beach hotspot, so parking maybe limited during lunch hrs, especially on a Sunday. Cool indoor vibes. Looks like the quintessential beach restaurant. Service staff are helpful and friendly. But the breakfast burrito remains top tier.

I really liked it here. I love all the sauce choices on each table. The Mary Jane wrap was so tasty and I like that it comes with a side here, where the other Angie's does not. I have also been for breakfast and that was tasty as well. Definitely will be returning when I'm craving a sandwich.

Came for breakfast, and it was delicious! Fland's Favorite was the main reason we chose here and it did not disappoint! It's a generous serving, prepared fresh, and absolutely delicious. The restaurant is fun and unique, though a bit small, so I'm sure it gets packed during peak times. The music was entirely too loud though, especially for 8am. Our server was so sweet and kind, and they had a "college fund" tip jar for the servers, which definitely indicated they are supportive of their young staff's future endeavors. All around - we enjoyed it and would come back!

Really unfortunate experience the past two visits. My husband and I loved coming to Grom and frequent this restaurant before football on Sunday mid mornings, however the past two times have been all but outright bad experiences. I didn't Yelp the last time bc I didn't want to jump to a bad review but now that we've had the same experience twice, it's becoming a pattern and sadly, we will likely wait awhile before returning. Ordered at 11:31 and heard another cashier telling the people next to us that food is taking about 30 mins right now. We placed our order and walked down to the beach for about 20 mins, came back and food didn't come out for another 35-40 mins, it took just under an hour for two subs. I want to give the benefit of the doubt that they were busy as it was a beautiful day but seemed to be poorly operating. There were a ton of staff working just all in disarray and not handling the rush well. Also, food quality has diminished the past few visits. This time, my sub was totally wrong but I didn't say anything for fear of waiting another long period of time for the right order. They were also out of Diet Coke, some chips people were asking for and tables were super sticky and messy. We love this local spot and hope they can turn around and get back to the Sunday spot we know and love.

I got to eat Grom as part of a catering package at a training event. We had Cuban bowls with rice and beans, plantains, and pork. The flavors and sauces were incredible!

Grom has been a local favorite of mine since 2016! I love coming here before or after going to Jax beach, it hits every time. The Peruvian is a classic, it has salami, ham, Cole slaw and cheese. Their new chicken Philly was also really good. If you like a little kick in your food, try the Amarillo sauce with the hot Peruvian. It adds a little spice but it's not overpowering. The restaurant has a cute surf theme and is pretty spacious. The food comes out pretty quick, and the staff is also friendly! Definitely recommend Grom:)

I tried Grom for the first time recently. In my first experience, my niece's husband walked from the beach and brought us back breakfast. If I had gone on my first experience, the stars would have been low. Note to self: Don't order avocado toast unless you are dining in, and especially not during a heat wave;) My second visit was a few days later. I was back at the beach for sunrise. This time, I drove to the restaurant after leaving the beach. The decor was cute with a dive vibe. There was a Sorry board game and an old TV with a built-in VHS player. Talk about old school. My friend and I ordered breakfast. I had biscuits and sausage gravy with scrambled eggs. They grilled the biscuit, which I liked. And the gravy was yummy and seasoned well. I also enjoyed the scrambled eggs with cheese. I would definitely stop in again for breakfast. Next time, I think I'll try the fried chicken biscuit.

    Kara M.

My husband loved his chicken biscuit w home fries, but my aunt and I were not in favor of the avocado toast. They dropped the ball with that one. The toast was very soggy and not toasted, there was green peppers when that wasn't listed on the description, and the eggs on the side we got were not cooked correctly. The only good thing I tried was the plantains! They were tasty. I hope for the future of those wanting avocado toast, they toast the bread, or make the avocado toast on a more durable piece of bread!

Sliders - Pulled Pork, Bang Bang Shrimp, and the Peruvian
    Brandon S.

The Grom is a Jax Beach beach staple i've been going to for more than a decade. If you like Angie's Subs, this place is for you. While they offer many similar sandwiches as Angie's (is or used to be owned by the owner of Angie's) they also offer an excellent breakfast and lunch/dinner menu outside of just sandwiches. On this occasion, I got three sliders - pulled pork, bang bang shrimp, and the Peruvian. All were excellent and never disappoint. My favorite will always be the Peruvian. Same thing as an Angie's Sub, just in a slider. You can also never go wrong with their sweet tea. Always hits the spot! The owner hires local kids and is active in the community. I highly recommend this spot!

Hands down prob one of the best places for breakfast at the beach! Just come early..it's small and parking is limited as well. Service is typical and depends on how early you get there. I had the Breakfast Samoan-breakfast burrito with fried chicken pieces with a special sauce and eggs. DELICIOUS- not your average breakfast wrap or burrito. A friend had the Volcano and waited a very long time. Our whole table of 8 were almost done when he finally got his food. BUT... made sense when we finally saw his food. This was the most extreme breakfast enchilada. Didn't taste it but he raved about it and couldn't stop talking about it after every bite. You can pick from a wide variety of sides... who doesn't love plantains for breakfast instead of potatoes. Small eclectic mom and pop vibe. Was formerly linked with Angie subs but heard they have since separated. Food is just as good if not better!!!!

I didn't realize it was a hot sub but it was still great! My wife order the 904 and as she ate it she started to cry because of how good it was and the fact that we are moving away. It was a first time visit for both of us. I told the young lady neither of us had been there before and she offered to run through the menu for us which was great. I loved that. She described "The Peruvian" as (her words) "meat heavy". I've heard amazing things in the past about the Peruvian sauce, so that is what I landed on and chose to have it on their onion roll. Hubby went with the "Angie's Philly". I want to preface this with my husband and I had complete opposite opinions and you're going to hear about both of them. For me: When I heard the words "meat heavy" I did expect a larger than normal amount of meat, and maybe thats on me, or a lost in translation example, because in my mind this is not "meat heavy". HOWEVER, before you start angry typing, I REALLY enjoyed my sandwich. It was absolutely delicious and at one point (which I will touch on further down) I looked at my husband and said "Yeah... this is so much better than Larry's". I even put a little extra Peruvian sauce on it while devouring it. The bread was toasted perfectly, had GREAT flavor. I could have easily had a second (or maybe double meat? ) Anyways, zero co.plaints except for the lost in translation expectation. I hope that makes sense. Now, for my husband, who is extremely difficult to please. At first, when our sandwiches were delivered to the table, he was given someone else's sandwich and he ended up having to send it back and wait on his, while I started on mine. Whatever, mistakes happen, shit happens, and we weren't in any kind of rush, so no biggie. When his sandwich arrived and he began to eat it, he was disappointed. He said it doesn't taste like they season the meat at all and it felt bland. He noted that the cheese was melted on top and could have used more cheese chopped and grilled in the meat along with more mayonnaise. He's picky. About halfway though, he said he'd give it a 3 out of 5. Then began to finish the second half and apparently bit into some areas that were burnt and overcooked and dropped it to a 2.5. He said it wasn't bad enough not to complain or send back but not good enough to write home about. So that's the take for today's visit. We would both (especially me) try them out again in the future, and I personally can see why they're so loved.

It has a large menu with many sandwiches, meats, sausages, among other great stuff to choose from. Our first moments here began by just navigating around the restaurant to see what it was all about. There are large number of wine and beer selections. Though I abstain from alcoholic beverages, I would guess that most are of the European variety - they have beer on the tap setup across from the dessert counter. After the quick self-tour and a conversation with the manager, we lodged in our seats and got ready to order. I actually was hoping the cafe offered speciality coffee like a latte, but that was quickly dashed when the server said they only served regular or decaf coffee. Initially I was disappointed but ordered one anyway. When it arrived and I dressed it up a little with some Splenda and Coffee Mate, I found it to be one the best regular cups of coffee I've had in a long time. We took a while to order because it is a sizable menu. However, I was sold immediately on the Rueben sandwich selections and just need to pick one. I settled on the classic Rueben, which was a mix of corned beef, pastrami, sauerkraut, cheese, a superb Thousand Island-type dressing on pumpernickel bread - it was delicious from start to finish! I will note that you can choose other breads and cheeses with the Ruebens. Some options may come at added cost. I'm glad it was large enough to take some home with me. My dearest chose the turkey Parisian. This was a splendid choice with a nice mix of excellent deli turkey, Brie, raspberry sauce, cucumber, and lettuce on a large croissant. Both sandwiches were more than worth the price of admission! Our server displayed excellent courtesy and care throughout our eating experience. I greatly appreciate the manager taking time to chat with me as well. I really felt good at European Street Cafe! With the fantastic artistry on the walls, the large setting of wooden tables and chairs well-spaced and well-organized on both sides of the interior has the look of a classic cafe that has been around for a good number of years. The restaurant is clean, welcoming, and has a nice outdoor patio area not far from the entrance. I think I found a great place to visit when I crave a Rueben sandwich! This one today felt like a Time Machine moment for me as my mom made them like this when I was a kiddo! Thanks for making this visit special today European Street Cafe! Recommend: VERY HIGH

Everything on the menu is delicious, the staff is wonderful, and they stand up to bigotry in their own backyard. You can't get much better than that. As Sub Cultured is a walk-up window, there's some outside tables to sit, as well as the option of sitting in your car for that car-hop action. I ordered online for takeout and got the Mercury combo (Mercury burger & cosmic fries) for 15$ and the Venus wings for 135. The mercury burger was by far my favorite item I had but i was expecting that it would be a little bigger with the price tag but I ain't mad at it, it was still a great burger nonetheless. The cosmic fries were below average and that could stem from the way the fries are made (shoestring style) but even then the seasoning on it was nothing special. The cosmic fries came with a cosmic sauce that was great and was a perfect addition to the burger. The Venus wings were solic with pretty good texture but ridiculously overpriced with a price tag of 13$ for 5 wings which is a scam, if you charging 15$ for wings they gotta be the best wings ever (they weren't). The Buffalo sauce that comes with the wings was definitely hot and the bba and ranch were decent. All in all, it's a solid spot that ! could see myself coming back to for their Mercury burger.
