We had Elizabeth as our server and what an outstanding professional! She made us feel welcomed and was most accommodating. Loved her upbeat personality. The food was very good can't go wrong with eggs. Pancakes slightly overcooked for my taste but Elizabeth offered to get them replaced, which was very kind of her.

My family met here on a Sunday at noon. They were hoping! We only waited about 20 minutes. Service was excellent and everyone enjoyed their meals. Went for breakfast, food was pretty good with nice size portions. Service was pretty quick and staff was polite. This location didn't offer military discount like the other one but not a deal breaker. If in the area, give it a shot.

What a great southern breakfast! They're clearly a well oiled machine here. Our waitress was super friendly and welcoming, and the menu had so many great choices. All of the food was delicious! The restaurant was clean, and it was nice that they had water and games outside for those waiting for a seat. Would definitely come back when we're in the area!

We came here because it was where all the locals recommended and I am glad we did. When we went it was busy due to being a Saturday but we were seated within 5 min. I had the special shrimp and grits! It was fantastic. The grits themself were kinda bland but there was plenty of flavor on top with a dusting of seasonings and the shrimp were perfect. They were so nice! I think I found my new favorite breakfast spot!

Obviously a hot spot in this town. Line went around the side just to get a seat. Outside games such as corn hole are available while you wait. Menu has a multitude of choices. Portions are large. Food is made to your order. Ambiance is very American as it has military branch medallions placed as decor.

Although I was disappointed by the quoted 25min wait time turned into 45 mins the food I received afterwards was worth the wait. SN: normally a long wait time & a line out-the-door means there will be some good eating. I was at the Middleburg location it is unanimous a 5-star spot for Breakfast food. I ordered the Blueberry cheesecake waffle with a side of grits (the grits were a la cart). The Blueberry Cheesecake was NYStyle but it had just the right amount of blueberry for the taste to stick to the roof of my mouth then melt like butter going down & adding the waffle made me feel like I was balancing my diet In addition to my food tasting good, my 6year old ate all of her food (she is a picky eater). I came here with my family and everyone was pleased. Oh! I have to mention the Women's bathroom was exceptionally clean for the amount of traffic. If there was anything to improve would be the service at the table. The place was so busy I can't remember seeing my server; I had to wave her down a couple of times. Also, there was a bit of frustration with not being able to pay at the register when we were done, so we had to flag down the waiter for that too.

Visited new location in Middleburg location and it was just as good as the original. Had to wait for a table but that time passed quickly as they have games and benches outside and a water station if needed. Service was great. Our server was so sweet. Had some toddlers that were messy with us and the employees assisted with smiles. Food was delicious and portions were large. Menu offers breakfast all day and great lunch and dinners. They offer daily specials and desserts too.

Came in for breakfast. Server was great , very friendly. Restaurant was busy with people waiting outside but we didn't wait that long. Staff told us 20 min wait, it was accurate we got called in after 15-20 min. Food portion was big. Food tasted good too.

First time here and will be back! Our server was Debbie, an Army Vet and now a teacher working here while school is on break and she was excellent! Came back several times to check all was good and very pleasant. Food was so very good! My husband says it's his new fav Breakfast Spot! Prices are very fair!

Came in with my friend for lunch who is visiting from out of town. They don't have Grumpy's in SC so I wanted her to experience the delicious food and lovely atmosphere. We were seated immediately and greeted by our amazing server Ayla. She took our drink order and went over the days specials with us. By the time she had returned we knew exactly what we wanted...a starter of fried green tomatoes with their homemade remoulade sauce. Our meals were the same, Grumpy's BLT with fries. I opted to forgo the third piece of bread, my friend wanted it as it came add avocado. Ayla asked if we wanted our tomatoes first...a pleasant surprise as no one seems to ask that these days. When our food came we were not disappointed...the fried green tomatoes were delicious and the remoulade amazing. Piping hot with flavorful batter that wasn't thick. Our BLTs were packed full of bacon that was crispy but not burnt. Half way through eating we each got another serving of fries as they said they were small portions; not how they normally serve. We didn't think they were small portions, however the extra dishes was a lovely touch. Suffice it to say, we both took half a sandwich home and our fries. The highlight was getting to meet the owner. He actually comes around and speaks with his customers. This is definitely not the norm and was very much appreciated. We tried to convince him to sell their remoulade sauce in bottles and my friend tried to convince him to open a restaurant in her hometown in SC. This is an easy going, laid back restaurant that serves an abundance of quality food at working man prices. It is definitely my favorite local spot to come for brunch. I tried get food from place 2 times and both times same problem. Called in food order was told it be ready in about 15 mins so I wait 15 mins drive times 19 mins and still had to cancel my order on arrival because food was not ready after sitting waiting for over 30 mins. Guess I'll never know how good the food is cause that's over an hr. Plus I saw people who got there after me get seated and food served. I got metro diner instead and was served super fast with really great food so that's what I recommend. read more

So happy this wonderful place got a second location! It is a family owned shop with some of the best bread pod you'll ever eat! The prices are crazy low for the quality you receive! The atmosphere screams southern hospitality! The orange juice is fresh squeezed. Portions are huge! The cinnamon roll pancakes are from another world delicious! Omelette is flavorful and massive! The country fried steak is always perfectly fried and the home fries are perfectly seasoned. It takes like good home cooking. Ultimate comfort food! Grumpy's is a great place to fill your belly. Not the healthiest options but great comfort foods. Every bite will remind you of a southern home. The wait staff is friendly and knowledgeable. I love their flavored coffees. Add a little cream and sugar and you have a sip of heaven in a mug. read more

What caught my eye was the flowers arrangements in this restaurant. The place is nice a bright. I love how they sing happy birthday to customers. It was clean. I love the fact they take your cell number and ca you when your table is ready. The parking in front is small however plenty of parking in the back. If you like the 1980's cafe ordering style of energy based excitement they call out loud waitresses or runners to pickup food. I'm not a fan but Chelsy my waiter was Awesome very attentive, polite and friendly. Even had a nice conversation with her. If I ever visit again I would sit closer to the door entry to avoid some of the noise. Have to add my sausage were over cooked but everything else was good. read more

Great spot and we've been trying to get into eat there for a month now. Worth the wait. We had breakfast for lunch and just what the doctor ordered. Biscuits and gravy were incredible and the service was on point. Will def wait to eat there again. Play a game of Cornhole outside while waiting. read more

Friendly staff. I ordered the fish and chips and my husband ordered the Philly cheesesteak omelet with hash browns and a pancake instead of toast. My fish and chips were yummy. I am not a fan of what I call cafeteria coleslaw but theirs was on point. We actually ended up eating all my food and taking his food home. The omelette was filled with meat and cheese though and had good flavor. They chose to use provolone cheese, but it was alright. My sweet tea was taste almost like they made it to sting but once I added lemon and some water it was pretty good. Lots of food, decent price. Great service. My favorite thing is that, I ordered from the lunch part of the menu at 0830.... . I'm not a traditional breakfast food person. I will definitely be back. read more

My bf took me here for the first time and it was absolutely amazing. I walked in grumpy but I didn't leave that way. The staff were super friendly and attentive. This was our first time here. It's always so busy but we got in early. Brandy V was our server and what doll she was. The eggs Benedict was perfect. The home fires were so flavorful and delicious and the big breakfast was big!! Oh and the B&Gravy were on point. We will definitely be back. What a great place!!! read more

I LOVE this restaurant! Great experience from the time we checked in until the time we left. There was a line outside and a 15 minute wait, but it flew by! Our server greeted us and it wasn't more than 20 minutes before our dood was out ( we were in a little hurry) . The food was great and affordable! Can't wait to go back! read more

Grumpys is absolutely amazing! Even with their motto of never leaving grumpy! Staff and service goes above and beyond in making sure you feel accommodated. So many amazing choices from breakfast to lunch and daily specials. Food comes out hot grand and fast. Well worth the wait! Staff is friendly and restaurant is clean, however I found hair in my eggs Benedict and later on that day I felt sick. In this building there are only two single person bathrooms, there is no family bathroom and there is often a line during breakfast and brunch rush - I had to walk across the street to use the bathroom at another facility due to the line in Grumpy's. Also I noticed staff members from the kitchen vaping throughout the restaurant, and two small pieces of bread for avocado toast costed almost $15.. for toast. Not impressed with food quality, prices, or service. read more

Last time I ate there my food was below average my fish and potatoes were put on a plate and had no appeal at all I haven't been back. I was going at least once a week and I have not returned for about 6 weeks now. It wasn't appetizing at all and for the first time I actually got indigestion The potatoes had no flavor and the fish was under cooked I am very disappointed in Grumpy and I felt very Grumpy when I left. They're always busy so that wasn't an excuse I ordered a pot pie to go and was very disappointed in the way it was delivered I would not recommend Grumpy's read more

Very clean, reasonable prices, i suggest you get the fried chicken biscuit for $6 its a big meal you get a biscuit, fried chicken breast, 2 bacon and an egg way much better than any chicken and waffles. read more

The wife and kids LOVE this place. Every time they visit me when I'm up here for drill they will be here every morning for breakfast. Our 5 yr old offers to do chores so we'll bring her here to eat lol. You won't be disappointed eating here!!! read more

I've been here twice now and each time the service was fantastic as well as the food. You always have to wait to eat but It's been worth the wait each time. My last server was Kayla and she did a great job. I had breakfast the first time and the breakfast potatoes are very good. I also love their pancakes! I am looking forward to trying several more items on their menu. read more

Great experience at Grumpy's in Middleburg! My fiancé and I came here during the late-risers-Sunday-rush where everyone flocks to breakfast at the same time. Despite this, we were seated and served so quickly and our server Chelsea was wonderful. My recommendation is the Stōk cold brew on tap and you have to try the fried chicken benedict! read more

People were coming out quickly but no one was ever taken in. 45 minutes later our table was called only to find the table hadn't been cleaned or set. Enter server, who had never seen a smile before apparently. We got drinks taken but needed time to decide. That was the last time we saw her until I asked another server to finally order. We did order but the food was not good at all; swimming in grease. Getting a drink refill was near impossible with yet another different server having to do that. After the meal a fourth person had to bring boxes and a to go bag. Our original server, who did nothing, finally brought the check. I understand weekends are busy, however, there was ZERO interest in us or our patronage. Couple it with the blessing out the cook was getting from a "manager" in the kitchen I'll be giving this place a hard pass for a while. It definitely did not live up to my previous experience. As for ambiance I can honestly say there was none. If you want alcohol for breakfast it might be the right spot because all the service happened at the bar.

Couple it with the blessing out the cook was getting from a "manager" in the kitchen I'll be giving this place a hard pass for a while. It definitely did not live up to my previous experience.
