I was given 2 "loaner cars" which were disgusting - the first one had ash everywhere and also had a check engine while they "worked" on the car I bought. Then the 2nd loaner - they tried to have make me switch cars so they could sell me a car that passed smog but it wasn't the car we wanted... he kept postponing delivery. I went through 6 months of promises before I called the bank to cancel the agreement and return the loaner. The owner signed a contract to return my deposit within 30 days. And nothing. I am taking them to small claims. I should have known better when I walked in to a disgusting office with ash and files and trash everywhere. They took my $6000 deposit- sold me a lemon, signed a contract to cancel and return my deposit, and then kept postponing my repayment. I'm literally in the process of filing a complaint with the BBB and small claims. The bank had no issue canceling my loan AS THE CONTRACT WAS NEVER FULFILLED. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THESE SCAMMERS!! THEY STOLE MY $6000!!!!

We came in with a budget for a used 2023 Rav4 and walked out with a great deal on a 2025 Rav4 XLE Premium. Daniel was helpful, accommodating, and made the process seamless. He should do a Masterclass on proper sales techniques. ** NOW HERE'S THE DIRT ON THIS DEALERSHIP** I am a shrewed consumer and understand that a dealership is like a casino, the house ALWAYS wins. However, unlike a casino, it's no fun feeling screwed in a financing deal. Because why are customers made to feel like Rockledge Security Systems at $1295 & and their in house GAP insurance is part and parcel to having a bank finance a Tier 1 customer? I know it's an upsell, but it basically a scam to enrich the dealership. And I expect a refund of the $1295 or I hope this review deprives this dealership of future "unjust enrichment" by educating you about these deceptive business practices. DO NOT FALL FOR THE FINANCE UPSELLS. I'm going to have to contact the Better Business Bureau because I abhor being taken advantage of by a male dominated team of scammers. I didn't notice ONE woman in the Finance Department when I was there these past two days. I believe another review suggested that customers file complaints with the DMV and the Dealer's Surety Bond company. I will look into my next recourse. I understand contract law, so I know I've agreed to the cost, but I was intentionally mislead and that is BAD FAITH negotiations and akin to strong arming when customers are led to believe that these add-on make your contract more attractive to finance companies. One Finance Employee today June 5th told me that the dealership GAP product was better than my Credit Union contract. I got him to match their price BUT HE LIED ABOUT THE COVERAGE. I'd be happy to inform the GM about the bad actors I encountered during this process. One of the Finance people today (who I am not naming because I keep my word) attempted to be patronizing toward me and when I checked him he acted like a victim. WTF? Certain demographics think women (especially Black women) are not to be respected and that is UNACCEPTABLE. This could have been an amicable on-going relationship, but I think I'll go back to Longo Toyota where I purchased my 2012 Camry and my daughter's 2019 Camry. I buy a lot of cars, only Ben can get me to ever buy from these dealership again. BUYER BEWARE!

Thank you so much for being very responsive to my questions and transparent with pricing! I am very happy with the service you provided and I would be happy to recommend you to anyone I know who is looking to buy a car in the future. Kenia is one of the Internet Managers at the Manhattan Beach Toyota dealership and I was mainly communicating with her through text messages. I found her through an affiliate website. Right away she was very responsive in answering me. No BS, no games. She told me the car I wanted was out of stock but she would let me know when it was available. It took a few weeks but she helped me find the car that I was looking for instead of just trying to sell me one that was currently available on their lot. When I came in for a test drive she did not rush me. I felt no pressure at all as I was walking around the car. After all the paperwork was signed, instead of just giving me the keys to drive off, Kenia took the time to show me all the features of the car. For months I had reached out to many dealerships within a 100 mile radius asking for out the door pricing. Some dealerships wanted me to make a deposit upfront, others tried to push options I did not want and refused to remove them when i asked. Most dealerships would stop communication if they did not have what I was asking for. It was like pulling teeth trying to get transparent numbers with other dealers. Kenia really stood out because there was no hesitation with providing the final out the door pricing, and it still beat out most of the competition. Everything she presented was clearly laid out when I asked her to break it down. If you are buying a new car, make sure to do your research! Know what you want, get comparables from other dealerships, and do not rush. Be patient! If you do find the Toyota you are looking for at a different dealership, I would still recommend giving Manhattan Beach Toyota a call and give them a chance to earn your business. You might just be pleasantly surprised with the experience.

Sebastian kept in contact with me to let me know that the vehicle would be available for purchase again. Alejandro & Javier assisted me on the day of sale. I would advise purchasing the extended warranty, but they will lower the price with some pushback. As soon as I got home with my car, one of the headlamps was not working. Turns out to be a technician fault, as the connector plug was removed during the engine cleaning process before putting the car on the lot. Always ask questions for a full demonstration of all mechanical and electronic systems. These are fleet (rental) vehicles, so their history is unknown, but they do a good of servicing while in their possession. Once you purchase a vehicle, you'll be directed to a 3rd party provider for service. They won't tell you this until you have an issues and request support. I'm not disappointed with the vehicle, but honest up-front should be a priority.

It also costs so much time out of your day. My last service surpassed a thousand dollars just for some fluid changes and they told me they would drive the car up for me. So I waited outside for my car. He took my car fob, then turned around and handed me back the fob because he changed his mind. He just pointed at my car in the other parking lot and said "there it is, it's over there" so I had to walk to the other lot with my stroller and fussy toddler in my arms to get the car myself. Really fake customer service here. They just want your money. For the amount of money I spent, they couldn't even help me a little bit by driving the car up. Ridiculous.
