I ordered the grilled chicken salad, which I couldn't eat, as the lettuce was all iceberg, which I hate, and never would have ordered if it had stated that on the board. I expressed my disappointment to the manager who offered no solution other than I should order something else next time. No offer to bring me some other lettuce or anything else. Usually the Habit in Redding does a good job with their food but not today. My Charburger was soggy. The bun was all wet and skanky. Went here for dinner at 4:30 and it was busy. The Habit typically has a long line in which to wait and order. So i ordered the char bbq bacon cheese burger with drink and fries. The burger came as described and it was a decent burger. A burger that i would wait in line for again, NO. This burger reminds me of in-n-out. 1/5 lb patty. Another Yelper mentioned that this burger is never frozen which somehow made it healthier. What? The World Health Organization lists ground beef as a carcinogen, meaning it contributes to cancer. Believe me, i do not eat a burger to feel "HEALTHY" For me the best burger will always be the one I'm grilling with friends and family. After being recommended by multiple people to try this place, I finally did and was impressed! The place was PACKED the whole time I was there. The atmosphere was busy but clean! The only thing I didn't like was that there wasn't a combo meal, you had to buy everything separately. However, the Charburger with cheese was fantastic. I really enjoyed the fresh bun and the grilled onions (which a lot of places charge extra for). The sweet potato fries were pretty tasty but will try the regular fries next time instead. I love coming here! I work right next to here at European wax center and everytine I come in they are all so friendly. I get excited when the cashier George or the manger with glasses are here because they always have such a positive attitude and go out of their way to be friendly with customers, always see a smile on both their faces. I ordered a teriyaki chicken sandwich and started to eat it and I kept tasting something burnt and after a few bites I decided to look inside and see what was burnt. I found the inside of the top bun was completely black. I can't believe a chef would serve it that way to a customer. It ended up in the trash. Wow, the service here has got to be the MOST infuriating service I have ever experienced EVER. On Saturday evening, my friends and I decided to use the online order system to place an order for pick-up and we did just that. We got to the restaurant and walked to the "Order Pick-Up" area to get our food to find out only one order was completed and that our two other orders were not placed. When we asked one of the girls what was wrong with our order, she didn't know and asked the manager, MARK, to help us and he basically spat in her face with "what do you want me to do about it?"... Like are you not the manager? We even showed him the confirmation e-mails that we received... Mark then decides to call the place that receives the order and he was literally huffing and puffing all over the place, sighing like the world was going to end. Once he was off the phone, he nonchalantly tells us that one of our cards were declined and when my friend looked at her bank account and told him that the amount was actually taken from her account and that it was pending...he retorted back with "just because it's pending does not mean it's charged" and walked off. WTF?! We stood there COMPLETELY clueless for several minutes and he suddenly turned around and asked in the rudest tone, "did you guys figure it out yet?!" and we were like are you serious...? Mark did not once offer to help fix our problem or anything. He definitely dismissed our problem like it was nothing and didn't even apologize for their faulty system. Why would we receive a confirmation e-mail if the order was not processed? Is that not weird? Honestly, I feel bad when I write reviews like this because I know that he could be having a bad day or bad week, but I work in the food industry and I know YOU NEVER treat people like this... we were VERY offended by his tone of voice and how he talked to us. Oh, I forgot to mention how we got his name. When we left, we were all so infuriated that we needed his name to call corporate, so my sister went back in to ask him for it. We waited in the car and when she came back out, she told me that when she asked him for his name he angrily said, "I don't have to tell you!" so my sister had to ask one of the workers there and they had to whisper it to my sister. Ridiculous. There were so many things that a REAL manager could've done differently, but no...unfortunately, we had Mark. Mark, you suck. Corporate will be hearing from us real soon. I just came here for the first time. Great atmosphere, trendy place where you can eat inside or out. Music playing over speaker sounds good. I had the classic charburger with the works grilled Carmelized onions, lettuce, tomato, pickles and cheese. Burger was cooked perfect. If you really like yours cooked well done ask for well. Don't let charred fool you. All ingredients were VERY fresh on a sesame seed bun! Huge portion of fries and drink to go with. Have a lot of variety on menu to appeal to most pallets. I have never been disappointed here! The customer service is well beyond excelkent, the food is always fresh, hot and delicious and the malts are out of this world good! Its pretty much always busy at your regular meal times, but its never a long wait. We usually take our food to go, but there us a nice out door seating area when the weather is agreeable.
