Everything was delicious, maybe just too much sauce in the dishes served with grits. Otherwise, hot and good.

Our server was totally amazing, and a fellow member of the curly hair tribe. She was so helpful in explaining the King Cake martini ingredients. She also suggested other drinks that I would like better. The coco runner was super tasty. I had to slow myself down or I would have put multiples down. Total gluttony for my birthday- Biloxi roll, fried green tomatoes & crab cakes, and a sampler (fried) with grits. It was all so amazing. I ate until I was about to pop. I still felt like I wobbled out the door to leave. One and only drawback- it's located in the Hard Rock, you have to walk through the smokey casino area to get to and from the restaurant. I'm sensitive to smoke, and I was thankful for the mask to filter some of that air. read more

Came here the evening prior to running the Mississippi Gulf Coast Marathon. Despite having reservations, we still had to wait for about 20 minutes to be seated. We ordered drinks at the bar while we waited. The place was packed on Saturday evening. We were sat next to a large table that was seated just prior to us so service was a bit slow. Because we were not familiar with the menu, we asked a few Minutes to check out the specials. The waitress disappeared for a long time. We ordered the Oyster Sampler which included 3 charbroiled oysters (oysters topped with wine, butter, garlic and herbs), 3 oyster Bienville (oysters topped with herb, mushrooms, crab, shrimp, bacon and bread crumbs), 3 oysters Rockefeller (oysters topped with fresh spinach, cream cheese, herb and Pernod) and 3 oysters Orleans (oysters basted with a New Orlean Style smoky Cajun sauce). I thought the oysters were delicious but my husband thought they were "okay". Additionally, they only provided 3 small slices of toast. Definitely needed more to sop up the sauce. For our entrees, we ordered the Seafood Stuffed Portabella Mushrooms and the "special", Grilled Sirloin with Lobster tail added. Each came with 2 sides. We opted for Sweet Potato Creme Brûlée (sweet potato mashed with sugar topping brûléeed) x 2, grilled asparagus with Gorgonzola butter and half shell salad (spring mix, avocado, goat cheese, toasted almond slices, chives, tomatoes and shredded carrots). The latter 2 options required a $2 extra each. The Sweer Potato Creme Brûlée was pretty good. I could have another serving of the sweet potatoes. Yum! Everything came out well cooked and tasted good but for the price and hyphe, we expected a little more. If you eat here, plan to spend a lot and allocate extra time. read more

Overall this restaurant was pretty awesome. It had an old, rustic feel to it and the bathrooms had oyster shell walls (i thought that was cool). The server we had was very professional, proficient and she wore a mask the whole time. The restaurant did a good job of sanitizing the tables after each use. We tried the crab beignets as an appetizer- they were like crab filled hushpuppies, super delicious. For our meals, we started with the osyter sampler. Literally the WORST pecan pie I've ever had in my life - I have no idea why they waste their time serving it nor can I understand why anyone would pay for it. Cheap gas station pecan pie is hundreds of times better. THAT SAID - everything else was delicious. I had the oyster sampler, the royal red entree, a couple cold beers. It was all delicious and the service was excellent. My server didn't make me pay for the pie, as I only took one bite and told him how terrible it was. He said he hated it too lol! (But also said that some people like it. While in Biloxi, I was looking for the perfect restaurant for my mom's birthday dinner. I came across the Half Shell Oyster House , so we decided to try it out. We went for dinner, so they were busy but there was no wait time. It's upscale dinning in a casual atmosphere + the service was incredible . . Since it's an oyster house, we decided to order a half dozen charbroiled oysters, and they were pretty good. Coming from New Orleans I expect my seafood to taste a certain way, and I wasn't disappointed. The oysters were coated with white wine, butter, garlic, and parmesan cheese. For my entree, I ordered the seafood pasta. The pasta was perfectly seasoned, creamy, and soooo filling. It was hard to decide what to order because everything on the menu sounded so good! read more

One of my favorite spots to visit in Biloxi. This place never disappoints. This particular time we had a server (didn't catch his name, young Vietnamese guy who said he'd started just 3 weeks ago) who was awesome! He made the suggestion to try the sweet potato soufflé which we loved. I got the pecan crusted fish and enjoyed that. My husband ordered a dozen oyster bienville, and they were good but we wished they had been cooked longer (I suggest ordering them well done). Drinks were a little weak, mojito does have mint - waiter warned me of that - but it tasted a bit like flavored water. Fried green tomatoes with crab cakes were a delight! And the seafood here is FRESH. I'm from Florida so I'm pretty picky when it comes to seafood and this place consistently delivers good fish! The server was super sweet and the beer was cold at Half Shell. I will say that the shrimp and crab dip was kinda fishy, which we returned. The Oysters Orleans was awesome, reminded me of what I do at home, but mine are better. Maybe I should open an oyster bar restaurant and compete with them. Not really equipped to do that, but watch out Half Shell, I'm coming for ya . My wife had the half shell pasta, it was good but lacked the artichokes that were supposed to be with it. I got the seafood platter. It was good but not worth the cost($26). Come on man, if I got this in the city it would cost about the same or less and would be piled high with seafood. My buddy and his girlfriend got the herb encrusted grouper which looked good but had more spinach than fish on it. Again, not worth the $26. His girlfriend got some chicken dish. It looked okay. Overall, the restaurant was okay. Not sure what all the hype was about but I'll try out a hole in the wall in Biloxi next time. I'm sure there are some good little joints around. read more

We were promptly seated and had Nicholas as our server. We took advantage of their Happy Hour and ordered a dozen oysters New Orleans style. They were delicious! I had the fried shrimp with a side salad and gumbo that's better than New Orleans gumbo! My husband got the redfish and it was seasoned just right! Nicholas was attentive, made good suggestions, and enhanced our experience. It's definitely a destination spot and never fails with both the service and the food! We happened upon this restaurant because a neighboring restaurant wasn't fully prepared to serve customers for the day. Half Shell, on the other hand, had a decent crowd already seated and served. Unfortunately, there was miscommunication between the host station and our server, so we sat unattended for almost ten minutes. Our server was apologetic numerous times. My SO got the shrimp and grits Benedict and said it was one of the best versions of shrimp and grits he's had on the Gulf Coast. My chicken sandwich could've used more sauce, but was overall pretty good! read more

Fantastic meal! I was a bit concerned because we are from the New Orleans area and too often meals fall short when they are supposed to be "New Orleans style". But this was great. We started with the very fresh crab cakes. Delicious. Then we got the entrees, we had the Royal Reds, and I had the Redfish Orleans. It was a healthy portion of fish, and was cooked to perfection. The service was excellent as well, we thought early on that it may not be that way as it was busy and our server seemed inattentive to us, but she came through strong. This is one I will absolutely visit again! Glad there are some closer to me than Biloxi! read more

Had a delicious dinner while visiting the Biloxi area. The oyster sampler was SO good! Loved them all. We sat upstairs, the atmosphere was great and service was excellent. They were out of red fish so the server suggested cobia and they were able to prepare one of the redfish menu items using cobia instead. I had never had it before and was very pleased! The only negative was the sweet potato brûlée. It came out with unmelted brown sugar and a ball of butter on top. The potatoes themselves were warm but don't call it "brûlée" if they aren't being torched or put under a broiler. If you live crème brûlée, you know what I mean! I mentioned to our server and she said they aren't prepared that way, but she took back and microwaved so at least sugar and butter were melted. Still delicious and overall a very good dinner. read more

We were at the host stand for about 30s, greeted then seated. About 2m later, our server (Haley) greeted us and instantly warmed our table with her smile and demeanor. Having genuine friendly people on staff IMHO is how businesses are guaranteed to have me return and let my friends know the wheres and whats. Then, OMG, the food... ah, the food... our appetizers (Royal Reds, and the Sushi Sampler) arrived, well presented, well accoutrement-ed, and soooo full of flavor. I can't say enough good things about the Royal Reds... GET THEM! So tender, so delicious, so worth the air flight to get here. Our entrees were just as awesome: Royal Redfish Bronzed redfish served over a bed of grilled asparagus and Cajun boiled potato cake, topped with Royal Red shrimp sautéed in a white wine cream sauce. ... and ... Redfish Orleans Blackened redfish topped with Gulf shrimp sautéed in our original New Orleans style smoky Cajun sauce. Topped with lump crabmeat and Parmesan cheese. It"s a mixed review here. They have darn good oysters but a low mark on their shrimp and grits. A very rich sauce and shrimp with a weird chlorine taste. A very good server and manager made it right. That turned out to be a good thing, because we got Jaden as our server and fabulous cocktails from the bartender. (I forgot her name but she was equally lovely!) My partner ordered a bourbon and they didn't have his type. The bartender came to our table and discussed the various types they had, taking the time to understand his preferences and recommend something he really loved.
