The food is consistent and taste good but I was surprised at how small the seafood sampler plate was since I expected it to be bigger! My husband & I thought we could share it but it's really just big enough for 1 person! The service was ok but I think only bc it was the servers 2nd day! The restaurant is dimly lit which is perfect for a date night! Yes, I recommend this place!

Food and service were excellent! Devon was our server for the evening and she was extremely friendly. However, despite the restaurant being focused, I didn't particularly like them. I did however really enjoy the Seafood Pot Pie. If you're reading this review unsure about what to order... ORDER THE SEAFOOD POT PIE!!

The food (seafood sampler & stuffed portobello mushrooms)

The food was great, but the waitress I had was exceptional! Ms.Franceè is such a delight. She was kind, polite, and very attentive. She brought everything out in a timely manner. I will definitely go back and request her as my waitress! Such a great experience.

According to my boyfriend the charbroiled oysters were pretty good. I got the maui grilled fish and I quite liked it.

Always great food. The bloody Mary's are out of this world. If you're a seafood or oyster lover give them a try.

We had chicken and sausage gumbo, Pepper Jack boudin balls, bam bam gator bites and the blackened chicken pasta. The waiter this time was better than the waitress we had last time. He was very attentive and made sure we never had to ask for refills. The appetizers came out fairly normal time-wise I would say. The main portion took a little bit longer than what you're used to at a franchise restaurant but here that's perfectly fine as it's worth the couple extra minutes. The gumbo is perfect(I love when gumbo is not over complicated) I like to add a lil hot sauce to it and it's delicious... only thing is, while they already give generous portions... the cup and the bowl looked exactly the same except I think in the bowl they give you one extra scoop of rice... which would be just fine if it wasn't like $6 more. But still delicious nonetheless. The bam bam gator bites were really good and I highly recommend them. If you like bam bam shrimp you'll love these. The pepper jack boudin balls were good, nothing special but they were definitely worth the try. My co-worker had the blackened chicken pasta and when I asked him how it was he said "dude, it's really good!" lol. The building is pretty unique and they have some outside seating with a massive beautiful tree that over looks the restaurant and takes claim to some of the asphalt in the parking lot lol. But it's a great spot for birthdays, good lunch menu deals, casual date night or if you wanna blow some steam off, they have a little bar in the restaurant as well. Overall, I HIGHLY recommend. I'm from East Texas, so I'm no Cajun/Louisianan but they truly got some good grub here. I'll definitely be coming back several more times when I get the chances. I will warn you, I believe the food is freshly made so when it gets to the table, give it some time to cool off because it comes out HOT.

Peyton and the remaining staff took great care of us - attentive / knowledgeable / friendly. The food (brunch options as well) was thoroughly enjoyed by all - from seafood to Italian to breakfast omelets - plus. Two surprises that we all took special note of however - the breakfast/brunch offered biscuit - & - the Pecan Seduction dessert - outrageously delicious. Cotton Candy kids treat to close out was a hit too. Remainder of restaurant and outdoor seating option (when open for use) all = very appealing. No hats for the men / boys - so please remove as required. Enjoy this spot !

My first impression is that the service, and the setting are amazing. The "Sensational" salad was really great, sensational? It's as though something is missing, but I'd have it again. The steak was second, maybe third to the best I've ever enjoyed. (I have had hundreds of fillets) The texture was probably second only to Omaha Prime, (which still stands out as the absolute best in every category). The asparagus was not amazing, but good enough to eat. It was green and edible, unlike most where I can't eat the low portions. Overall I'd come here again, probably done than later.

This is our second time here, and we have been waiting to get the warm thin crispy tortilla chips,…read morewhich we were very pleased this hasn't changed. There are so many menu items you will have a difficult time choosing, I would say pick something you've never tried and go for it. The crawfish beignets were amazing, our first time trying, very light and the pico de gallo goes beautifully, as this compensate for the oil. We had the lunch specials which is a separate menu, and what a great choice, the crab enchiladas was creamy and with the lettuce and pico was a delicious bite, and the tuna bowl was spot on. The team here is great you can see the personal pride with the service. And the dining area has always been very spacious and inviting.

Even from the parking lot, you can already smell the food. The whole area was filled with the smoky steak aroma, which instantly made me extra hungry. When you walk in, you can see them handmaking their own tortillas, and that alone got me really excited to try the food. We were seated in a separate room. It was a bit small, but it definitely gave off NYC vibes. The decorations were done so well--I couldn't stop complimenting the space. We arrived right in time for Happy Hour, where you can get a large margarita for the price of a small, which is a great deal. As soon as we sat down, they brought out tortillas and salsa like most Mexican restaurants--but these were surprisingly much better. I believe it's because of their fresh handmade tortillas. What we ordered: Superior Quesadillas - Nicely plated and came with sides (I forgot to take a picture so I don't remember exactly what they were). It was decent, but nothing really special. San Lucas Sizzling Fajitas - Came with skirt steak and shrimp. The shrimp was butterflied Texas-style and served with all the usual sides. The meat was good, but I didn't like the vegetables. They were too soft and lacked that grilled, charred flavor. The pan was extremely hot, so the vegetables ended up burning and sticking to it instead. Service: Honestly, I didn't like the service. The server was okay, but definitely not great. I usually love Mexican restaurants because of their warm, friendly staff, but this experience made me uncomfortable. We felt rushed the entire time--she kept taking our plates and drinks before we were finished, and I had to ask for them back multiple times (not just once). What really killed the mood was the shots. Even though we felt rushed, every time we ordered shots it took forever to arrive. We waited almost 20 minutes total for just two rounds of shots, which is ridiculous for something so simple. I understand it was busy, but many busy restaurants still don't make customers wait that long. It really ruined the vibe for us. Final thoughts: The bill was pricey, and I knew that going in--but I had high expectations and left totally disappointed. The food was just decent, yet very overpriced. For the same amount of money, you could go to another Mexican restaurant or even a food truck and get a full feast. I rarely complain about service--especially since I used to be a server--but this time I couldn't overlook it. Would I recommend it? * Fresh tortillas & happy hour drinks: YES * Food & service: NO Unless you're coming strictly for the vibes and pretty decor, I wouldn't recommend spending your money here. There are much better places out there.
