I tried their seasonal kinako milk tea! It caught my eye and the employee recommended it. I'd never think to combine kinako and milk tea, but I loved it. The tea flavor was great and the drink wasn't too sweet. I want to try their pastries sometime as well! read more

This place really fulfills my sweets cravings with their donuts, pastries, etc. I definitely wanted the Green Tea Soft Serve because of all the recommendations for it & it did not disappoint! Toppings are 50 cents each so just I got it with mochi. The textures were weird if you mixed it with the cereal and the mochi, but other than that, it was so good. I also had their chocolate donut, the chocolate is the hardened chocolate, not the frosting ones on regular donuts so it did get messy, but I'm definitely coming back for the green tea :D read more

It is a cereal like Golden Grahams at the bottom of the frozen yogurt, not Cinnamon Toast Crunch...and it is delicious.

I had an almond croissant a couple months back and it was pretty good. Cream Pan in Tustin has a better one but this is plenty edible. The custard filled donut ("cream donut") was pretty good as well but needed more custard filling and the donut could have been softer and fresher. For a mini bakery they're pretty decent but you won't mistake it for Cream Pan or the Taiwanese 85C bakery at Diamond plaza. Those places are really excellent and there are lines out the door for a reason. read more

Meh. I wasn't impressed with this bakery. The display makes everything look super delicious. I ended up buying a melon pan and expected something amazing like Cream Pan's melon pan. I was highly disappointed with the dry and tasteless melon pan I got from here though. I wouldn't recommend it :( read more

This is a small bakey in side Mitsua - Japanese grocery outlet in Heritage plaza. I wanted to try the Matcha soft serve which was hyped all over and i have never tried matcha before. I am a Hot tea lover and so was excited to try this. The person behind small counter was friendly and enquired if i wanted to try a sample first.. Appreciate her service (5/5) for that... Tried a small sample. Nothing great except its like eating a frozen tea... So i passed on it... since i didnot want to go back empty handed tried the Coffee jelly drink... Drink is sooo goooood.. Jelly is not so great... Too much Jelly and very less drink.. Next time i will come but will ask for less Jelly... In the end, there was quarter cup of thick Jelly left which didnt amuse me... But i saw a lot of japanese youngsters hooking onto this Matcha place ... definitely a hit among the Japanese lot... sorry guys i will prefer the Taiwanese teas and Indian teas to this - no offense.. read more

I came here on a whim earlier this week and I enjoyed the pastries. I got an egg bun, curry bun, chocolate strawberry croissant, and custard. I could taste that the egg was seasoned in the egg bun... yum. The curry was tasty too. There was a bit of chocolate mousse inside the chocolate strawberry croissant, that was a nice surprise. The custard was served in a ramekin (I really liked that) and the bottom had a creme brulee sugar sauce which was unexpected. LOVE LOVE LOVE the green tea soft serve ice cream!!! It has the vibrant & intense flavor of green tea, like the authentic green tea ice creams served at reputable Japanese restaurants. The Yogurtland variety is no comparison. Plus, it's yogurt...I also like the crunchy cereal at the bottom. Looks like Cinnamon Toast Crunch minus the cinnamon flavor. It's a nice texture contrast with the creaminess of the ice cream. I'm always a sucker whenever I eat at the Mitsuwa food court. This is a small bakery located inside Irvine Mitsuwa market. I love every bread and pastry variety I tried here so far. They have some unique choices you may not find in other bakeries. My favorite is the Japanese pudding It comes in a little ramekin so I have a lot of them at home. I wish they give a discount on the pudding when you bring back the ramekins This location don't bake onsite, so if they run out of an item, that's it. If they are closed or out of certain type of bread or rolls, you can check out the bread isle in Mitsuwa market. They carry some there. It also comes in handy if you don't want to ring up twice. This location doesn't have as many variety as Costa Mesa location. read more

I usually come here for the green tea ice cream. The other day there was a small Asian girl who served me. She gave me the smallest portion ever. As if I should be on a diet when I'm already skinny. It was a thin semi tall serving. She didnt even fill out the cup. there was literally empty cup all the way around. When I pushed it down it didn't even fill half the cup. Felt like I didn't get my money's worth. I suggest speaking up if it happens to anyone else and make her full it up right. If it hapoens again in never coming back here. Be consistent and give customers their moneys worth. Don't give me a tiny portion and act like I should be on a diet. Wasn't worth almost 4$!
