I was excited to eat here as my husband is from the old area, but we were so disappointed! I ordered the Flautas & he ordered the Mexican plate. The Flautas were horrid. The exterior was cooked nice & crispy, but the meat was so overcooked, it turned to dust in my mouth. I didn't even know food could do that. His plate had cold & mushy rice & overall very bland. The taco was somewhat normal, but still no flavor. Please read this & improve on who's cooking or whatever it is. And we paid over $22 for this. Even this gringo knows that was bad food. I know it used to be good from the referrals I got. We were in Cali for years & often ate at these types of places & they were so good. This was not at all. Not edible. I just discovered this 24 hour place recently....it's not just a place to get a quick burger after a hard night of partying....they have a fantastic plate of mini tacos that I dream about. It's a platter of 12 mini corn tortilla fried tacos of seasoned ground beef and potato....the meat is JUST seasoned enough (not too much), and they are arranged like nachos on your plate and topped with shredded lettuce, diced tomatoes, and shredded muenster cheese than melts over the tacos because they are fried to order. They are simply delicious!! I live on the other side of town, so if I'm ever in the area I stop by and get a couple dozen to go for the family. They're about $6 per dozen. Actually, this seems to be more of a Menudo hotspot for after the club than a burger joint. We went here around 2am on a Friday night and it was fairly crowded.
