But it's intimidating going to privately owned smaller shops as a women cause I always feel like they might just charge you outrageously or be rude. I have been here on and off for about five years and always have great service. They always give you greats pricing and friendly service. I'm leaving 1-star and I tell everyone I can to STAY AWAY b/c they violate Tx DOT standards to be cheap and save themselves money by not replacing the air stem on new tires like they're supposed to. My tire started leaking 2 days later and the gruff rude redneck guy working there straight up told me "we don't replace those unless we absolutely have to b/c they're expensive" wtf? Complete trash!!!! Was quoted 2 1/2 hours wait and $85 to have 2 studs replaced. I had to call back up 3 hours later to check and was told they hadn't evan started on my truck. I went back 6 hours after I dropped my truck off to be told I had to come back in the morning to get the right studs put on because the ones they put on were too short. The next morning and 4 hours of waiting in the store. I had to ask what the wait was just to be told they couldn't do the job because they couldn't find the studs that matched what was on my truck. Was told that I wouldn't be paying the full price and my discount was $5. I was lied to and jerked around and given attitude by the mechanic when I told them I wasnt happy with the price for my truck almost taking 10 hours to be done wrong. Mechanics answer was "its got studs on it" when I said the job wasnt done to the level I was told it would be done too. Experience was complete garbage and I fully regret not going to discount tire. I will never go back to this tire shop. read more

I stumbled across Hamm's tires when my Benz left me on the side of the road with a very flat tire. I called several tire companies and a tow truck to compare prices. It was late in the day on a holiday. I seen the Hamm's tire sign on 377 less than 500 feet from where I was stuck. I decided to walk there. I was not impressed when I walked in. The environment was not pretty. The guys were all greasy. There were no brands that I knew and trusted on the walls. But what did I care? I only need to fix a flat. When the man spoke to me, immediately it was apparent that he knew tires. He sent two of his guys to go down the street get my car. I knew the penny test and we checked my tires. My heart fell as we looked closer and saw the belts on every tire. It was coming into Christmas and I absolutely needed four new tires. While stranded, I had already spoken to Firestone as well as Sears, Good Year, and Discount Tires, so I had a fairly good handle on what I was going to spend. The sales person gave me a price on his 50,000 mile tires. It was less for all four than I would have normally spent in a single tire. He impressed me. Most sales people that I had dealt with, seen the Benz and immediately dollar signs flashed in their eyes. Discounts/sales all went out the window as they tried to sell me the most expensive and so therefore the best. It seemed I had to fight just to get advertised pricing, I asked what his best tire was and he said Toyo. Well I had never heard of them, so I called Firestone who assured me they were crap. But for some reason trusted this simple man who was not trying to rip me off. I asked how many miles I could expect, he said about 75k. And could not argue the price, so I felt I had nothing to lose and he was throwing in a warranty and a free four wheel alignment. I said, "do it." Thinking when these crap tires wear out, I will replace them with new ones after the holiday season. Well, I had my tires rotated oil changes every 5,000 miles. At the 75,000 miles I looked at the tires. I was impressed. They passed with ease the penny test. No belts showed. They did not look new, but were in good shape. At 90,000 miles, I looked at my tires and they were decent. Not needing to replace them, but looking at traveling 3,500 miles on a road trip, I decided to replace them. I took them back to Hamm's. He replaced the tires and I paid just about what I had the first time with little inflation. To my surprise, I got another 95k out if those tires before I traded the vehicle for another new car. I have been a loyal customer with all my tires replaced there since. I always buy the top tire tand now I expect 90K out of those tires still rated at 75k. They have never left me down. So this week, I needed new tires, again all four tires, alignment, and manufacturers warranty at an unbeatable price. New location, many new faces, all down to Earth good guys not trying to rip anyone off. I highly recommend this establishment. read more

I don't normally leave a review however today I felt compelled to. I took my tire with a bent rim to Hamm's on Watauga Road for repair and I received excellent service from Sebastian and his team. Sebastian was funny, understanding and recommended options for me. At the end of the day, I thought my foolish mistake of texting while driving would cost me over $300...it ended up costing me $55. Thanks Hamm for treating me like a loyal CUSTOMER. Will return again. read more

HONEST, RELIABLE, FAST! This is my first Yelp review but Hamm's earned it! I went in to the shop thinking I needed to change out 2 tires. (Because discount tire told me that 2 months ago) The service man came out and told me he would only change one. I had 2 little kids with me, they could have told me I needed all four tires changed and I wouldn't have known the difference. Best customer service hands down! read more

This place is complete shit I would not recommend to anyone went in there for an alignment and got no alignment and a wheel broken off my car if your going there for a tire great but I'd take it to discount to be put on.. Went to talk to them and they denied that they did anything but I had just been to discount a week before for new tires just needed an alignment after replacing some things and they fucked me over.. All my lug nuts had been loosened and was the worst experience of my life.. Will never go there again. I stopped by this morning to see what my options were for a spare tire for my Honda Pilot. I had tried to use it awhile back and as soon as I drove on it, it went flat. Another tire place told me I needed to replace the tire, but Hamm's took the time to look at the tire and realized it just needed a new stem valve. Hi I have a Honda pilot 2010 & one of my tire would loose pressure by 7 pounds or so every 10 days or so , figured there was a nail in the tire, saw the good reviews, even they were 30 miles away from my home it was worth driving down there, they took care of it for just $10 bucks. I had a nail in a tire on a larger work truck. I pulled in, they got right to work, fixed it and I was on my way. Took about 20 minutes tops from pulling up to leaving. Nice guys, no worries. Highly recommend. Inexpensive, $15 and they told me up front how much it would be. read more

Shady, shady business!!! I was overcharged for parts for supposed inexpensive labor prices, so my insurance would not pick up the difference in price when I filed a claim. My deductible was $1000 and I ended up paying $1600 out of my pocket two weeks before Christmas in order to get my car back! I am not happy with the insurance company either (Geico) as they were difficult to communicate with, but price gauging on parts is bad business practice. I tried to contact the owner on several occasions, but it is impossible. No email address or voicemail available. Just a crew of sarcastic employees offering no sympathy or help. If you look on their website, there isn't even a way to contact them online or via email. This is the 21st century... What does that tell you? I will NEVER give them my business again, and I fully intend to spread the words of caution to the 600+ well paid people that I work with about my experience. I had a flat tire with a nail and a semi flat spare. I decided to visit a different tire shop since my spare was semi flat and Hamm's is 30 minutes from my house. The first thing they tell at the other shop it's that it can't be fixed, I need a new tire and spare. I left that shop and prayed I would make it to Hamm's. I made it !!! They checked both the tire and the spare. They filled the spare properly and patched the tire. $15.00 and 15 minutes later I was on my way to work. I am a forever customer. I have mixed feelings about these guys. I'll be the first to admit I don't know much about cars, but the guy at the front who was bald and had facial hair really made me feel dumb. That should be the last thing someone does when dealing with a customer. Although he was helpful he was very rude and condescending at the same time. If you'd asked me about this place before today, I would not have a complaint. Today I called to see if they had a used tire and I was told yes they had two more upstairs. I explained that I was sending my husband who was driving home from work in Addison and wanted to be absolutely sure before sending him there. They confirmed they had the tire. When he got there, they told him they didn't have the tire but of course they had a new one. When I called to see why I was given incorrect info, he said I never called. Then I gave them the exact time and told him I hit send on my phone to the same exact number...He then said I gave him the wrong tire size. This man said he was the manager. Within 10 minutes of waiting upon arrival & without being greeted, I left without service because this shop was not very welcoming. I waited outside behind a lady to finish her complaint, and not once did the assistant tell me he would be right with me. I felt ignored. This was my first visit here and thought I'd try it since it was local. So I looked around and noticed how disgusting it was there at the shop. Caution tape was surrounding the front door, the tire techs didn't look professional or like they wanted to be there. They were smoking, on their phones, banging on equipment, and walking around like they were ready to go home. I didn't want that type of service. I was in need of getting a flat fixed from a nail in my rear tire. I did call before hand to Hamm's, and they quoted me a 15 min wait for a $10 fix. Which wasn't bad without an appt, if I was greeted. But, I made a quick decision to go to discount tire down the road and get a free flat tire fix with professional service and a friendly atmosphere, with a 25 min wait without an appt. read more

I have been going to Hamm's for years and they have been just great. All ways been fair and have never told me I needed something I did not need. I even took my motorcycle tire in for a change, no problem. I have used Discount in the past, but find them not all they are cracked up to be. When I found great deals on tires I would bring them Hamm's for install and balance. Why would you go any where else. I had to get a Valve stem replaced and the charge was $5.00 in my case. I took my 2013 Dodge Ram in on 010516 to have the tires rotated and balanced. A little while later they bring one of my center caps in and all of the plastic inside of it is freshly broken. The manager, Tito starts making excuses about how the plastic gets brittle and work from taking the caps on and off and that they weren't responsible for the damage. Tito advised me that he would talk to the owner and call me to let me know if they were going to replace the part they damaged. After no call from anyone at Hamm's I called them and was told that they would get me a replacement at their cost ($115.00) and after I told them I wasn't paying for a part that they tore up thru their negligence they offered to pay half the cost which insinuates they acknowledge responsibility for the damage but refusal to accept financial responsibility. Just letting everyone know that if you choose to use this tire shop your doing so at your own risk if they tear anything up or damage your vehicle! read more

went to this place for a tire replacement, the tech didn't bother to ask me what i needed, he went ahead and started taking off the back tire. i asked him what was wrong with the tire or if he knew what i wanted, he said the pressure was low. i told him my front tires were evidently worn out and are the ones i wanted changed, he then told me we don't carry that size here, but can get you some new ones for $200/ tire. then another person stepped in to say they had that size in stock and brought the tires. They started talking through out the process and watching videos on the cell phone, which one guy in the front office was sharing with the technician. Mind you i was the only person in the store with up to 8 technicians sitting in the work area. i mentioned to the cashier that "your staff talks too much between each other while working, at the expense of our convenience" he stated "that's rude for you to say." i reminded him that the customer is always right, when they try to correct the quality of service. if i could get away with a 0 star i would have done so. read more
