The table setting for Easter Sunday

What a great place to have Easter dinner! The locatio is so quaint and picturesque. The staff is ridiculously friendly and helpful and the food and drinks were amazing! I can only give feedback on the food I ordered, I started with a roasted beet salad with mixed greens and goat cheese. The dressing has undertones of blood orange so it was quite citrusy and tasty. Next course was the Ricotta Gnocchi with wild mushrooms and spinach. The wild mushrooms were perfect in all ways - large and flavorful. I would definitely suggest this meal if you want something meat free and filling. And last, I didn't order a dessert. I opted for a dessert drink and ordered the Brandy Alexander and it was delectable. I will say that I did try the salted caramel from the sticky toffee pudding and it was so creamy and amazing! Just the right amount of salt and caramel so if you are a fan, order one (or two)

This was a very lovely inn, and the innkeeper Marcia was very accomodating and took the extra steps to help my husband and I feel right at home. We checked in late on our arrival night, and Marcia was up and made my husband a snack plate because he was famished from the traveling. The breakfast was phenomenal, I loved the freshly made breakfast sausage. My egg was poached perfectly by Jarvis (the other innkeeper, Marcia's husband). The inn was located walking distance to Norway pond, which was very nice. The surrounding area was very quiet, and since I stayed there on a weekday, I was the only one walking around the pond, the white church, and the cemeteries (there are 2 cemeteries nearby). There was also a deli and a market across the street. We stayed in a room that had a claw-foot bathtub in the alcove (please see that picture I posted). It was a cute and whimsical addition to the room and gave it character. My husband and I had dinner at the inn, and I was very happy with the service and the menu. The front desk clerk was very helpful in providing us with information regarding activities and things to see around Hancock. My only complain was that everything here was so creaky (it's an old inn after all). But other than that, everything here was very lovely and we enjoyed our stay.

I stayed at the Hancock in this past weekend. It was great! The inn is beautiful. Built in 1789. It is the oldest inn in NH and it has been beautifully preserved. The rooms were very nice and well maintained. It was a cold night but our room was warm & comfortable. We had breakfast the next morning. I had blueberry pancakes and my son had the egg sandwich with sausage. The food was delicious! The owners (Jarvis & Marcia) as well as the other staff (Rhonda) were very friendly and welcoming. I will definitely be back. Hopefully this summer.

The Hancock Inn in Hancock, New Hampshire is the perfect place for truly absorbing the quintessential New England inn atmosphere. Personal hospitality, cozy fireplaces, fantastic homemade breakfasts-this 1789 Inn is highly recommended! Our room, the Rufus Porter room, was delightful with a fireplace and the original hand-painted wall murals. What gave the Inn its most special appeal was the General Manager, Duncan. He was everything one would hope for in a unique Old New England Inn. My husband and I thank Duncan and his wife, Sara, for making our 45th anniversary a wonderful get-away. No comment on the Fox Tavern as it was closed for dinners for the winter season this year. Marion

An old country style interior theme, with a grandeos enterior in the heart of downtown Hancock, seemingly always easy to find parking even when they are completely full. The Cheese platter is divine, a real fine dining treat that is fresh and close to home. The fried olives are really good, i know it is hard to believe but they are incredible with great flavor, not great heated up however. I wasn't a fan of the bloody mary, they do with a Sherry i believe and the flavor is really off for me. Their hot and dirty however is very good so they have some drinks they have mastered and some that are a work in progress. The main course menu makes it almost impossible to pick something. The pot roast is by far the best i have ever had, from what we understand people come from across the country to try their Pot Roast. All the entrees on the menu were with ingredients from local area farms and you can really tell in the taste(s) of what they serve. Jessica was our waitress and she was as good a waitress we have ever had, providing keen insight and recommendations throughout the night that made out meal and experience one we will never forget.

The inside did look very nice. The seating inside is a bit to close for us. As we were going to leave more people came and they decided to open the outside. Service was fast and friendly. The wife and I both ordered from the breakfast menu. The portions were good and the food tasted great. I am not positive if it is true but I thought I heard the server say they switched to Lunch at 11AM. I hope not as the wife and I like to eat breakfast all day long. We were seated at the one metal table. Next time we will request a picnic table. The chairs were king of high and my feet could not touch the ground. There was a small bar at the bottom of the chair you could rest your feet on. There also was no umbrella. Overall things were great and we will return.

Generally no complaints big place is always packed on the weekends for both seating and parking outside, likely a half hour wait depending on when you go. Food is good and comes out fast. Kind of a high school cafeteria ambience feel with a section of looks like cracker barrel by the entrance.

Just went there to grab take out ! Never again ! i was Looking fir a late breakfast - no breakfast…read moreit was 1240. So I grabbed a muffin and a couple waters- my wife went up to order or take out. I followed her and ordered my food. came back to the table where was half way thru with my muffin. this grumpy lady pulled the 2 pieces of paper ( table mats ) and 2 rolled up silverware, away while I was eating. My wife ordered soup, to eat while we wait for our take out. The grumpy lady then came up and told the other young lady to make sure to add a muffin and 2 waters - in very in comfortable way. we grabbed another set of paper mats and napkin silverware which seemed to piss off the the grumpy lady. So when I paid I left no tip !! She brought the signed copy of the check and placed it with a thud in front of me ??? No pen !!! When she came back to pick up the check she nodded to the other waitress as to say no tip !!! Correct ! Worst service experience I have had in years ! Education -can't sign anything with my finger - if you want to solicit tips be smart enough to help your self ! Dont be rude! never go there again ! But I threw the food away and went to sunoco ! Better pizza than to deal with that grumpy lady! Happy Holidays ! Just wasted 1 hour of my vacation ! Could have been worse ! Don't waste your money ! I did.
