    Army stew
    Quang L.

We came here late on a Saturday about an hour prior to closing. Opting to share an army stew and an order of the fried seaweed roll. The fried seaweed rolls were surprisingly good. The army stew was good and portions were adequate. Our only issue was that the wait for the food took a while - they had one chef making the food and a lot of take out orders. Our food took at least 30-40 mins to come out.

Amazing & authentic care in customer service & cooking. Love the hot tea feature ona cold day. True home cooking that i can feel the love of culture through. The seafood pancake was great! The Bimbap was sooo good taking a picture was out my mind & was inebriated by the dish itself..

I found this hidden gem while charging my Tesla. I love Korean food and was so glad to find a Korean spot near my workplace. I decided to stop by and order food, and it was absolutely delicious. My go to order is the Hankki rice bowl. It comes with a choice of protein, one of their sides, glass noodles, and rice for $16. The place is on the smaller side, but it's very cozy with a great vibe. The staff, especially Vincent, were extremely sweet and polite. He was friendly, helpful, and checked in on the surrounding tables as well as on me. Such a great place for Korean food with amazing, friendly staff. I will definitely be back to try more from the menu.

Kimchi Korean Ramen, this dish was completely emptied of all contents it contained. A must try.

I've never eaten at a Korean restaurant before, I've been missing out! I actually hit the jackpot by choosing this restaurant. I was just hungry, and decided let's try something new. We walked in to a clean, very pleasant, inviting place. Greeted immediately and offered a seat. It took us a bit to figure out what to try, but once we did, our food did not take very long to be served. The food was so fresh, flavorful and beautifully presented. We loved the food. I'm so hooked on this place.

Nothing like a small mom and pop business, where you get that homey vibe, of food made carefully with love. Super fresh, delicious Korean food in a small, cozy setting. I'm a bi bim bap fan. I loved how they fried the tofu for a nice crunchy texture. Bi bim bap was expert; banchan were tasty. I always appreciate it when jap chae is included as a side, so I can have my two favorite Korean dishes in one meal. Service was excellent, and I was in and out fast, which suited my schedule.

Been a while since I've last visited and updated my review. This time it's a 4/5 rating. I noticed some differences in packaging, portions, and pricing. It doesn't compare well to the other Korean spots that I normally go to in Cupertino, Santa Clara, or Milpitas area. I still wanted to support this small business (no social media presence). I ordered the seafood pancake $19.95 and LA Galbi (beef short ribs) $32.95. I understand the economy and expenses had played a role in the price increase. The seafood pancake was great size for $20 but when I took it to-go, I noticed it was not very crispy and kinda soggy. I prefer my seafood pancake crispy please! As for the LA Galbi it came with side of rice, banchans, and individually packaged beef short ribs in reusable container. There was actually a good amount of beef short ribs but $33 worth? I'm not quite sure about that. Some of the pieces I got seemed slightly over with very small burnt specs. I just picked it off. But the Galbi flavor itself was well marinated. Not the softest tho. Japchae, kimchi, and spicy cucumbers were enjoyable. Service was very kind but there was a bit of a wait. I'll come for the chicken katsu next time!

We absolutely love this little neighborhood Korean restaurant- we don't need to drive to Cupertino Sunnyvale area for some authentic real Korean food anymore! the Bibimbap is my absolute favorite- fresh ingredients and so delicious! Chap Jae is amazing too! And the seafood pancake!!! Come for a warm and welcome family ran restaurant ambiance too!

We stopped here after we did a long hike. We were hungry. I ordered the ttelebokki (rice cakes). They were good, but I didn't expect it to me this way. I expected it with the red sauce mixed in with meat and veggies. The dish was still tasty. The seafood pancake was delicious. It's more of doughy batter than really fried and crunchy. It came out hot on the hot plate. Overall, I thought the food was ok...a little more pricy on the end. This place is located in strip mall and next to Jamba Juice. Thank you for the food and service.

There's lunch specials and other items on their menu. I didn't realize I barely made it during their lunch service. I had ran errands and went there to grab some take out. Luckily the gentleman let me order which I'm grateful for. There's a break in between lunch and dinner service. I ordered their beef Japchae for takeout.

Lunch special- Rice bowl with spicy pork and pickled radish banchan. Spicy ramen with beef (not a lunch special)

I love Korean cuisine and I'm so happy to have found this place. Great customer service and food. Will be back!

Small nice and clean. The banchan was good and fresh. We got the Korean ramen with beef, chicken wings, and seafood pancake. Pretty affordable as well

Service: 4/5 Hands down to one of the best Korean restaurants I've tried in South SJ. I always ordered by phone. The ordering and picking process were really fast and smooth. Food: 5/5 The rice place is the most bang for the buck. The galbi and spicy pork belly came with rice, japchae, salad, and 2 choices of side dishes. The galbi was so tender and came off the bone easily. The spicy pork was not too spicy and well-seasoned. I love their teokbokki. The rice cake had a perfect chew. The sauce was not too sweet and had a great kick. Their gyoza was crispy outside and so juicy inside. I'm glad it didn't taste like those frozen dumplings from Costco like other restaurants.

Non-spicy tteokbokki and soft dumplings (I ate half already).
    Andy L.

Delicious Korean food at a competitive price compared to other Korean restaurants in the South Bay. I like that they offer a non-spicy version of tteokbokki, as I prefer the savory quality to it and most Korean restaurants only sell the spicy version. Their soft dumplings are on the smaller side, but tasty and come with 12 for $11. Really good offering of side dishes, especially if you opt to eat in instead of take out.

I'm glad I did and was definitely delighted by the experience. Hot Stone Bibimbap 5/5: There was a review on Yelp saying that there was no crunchy rice at the bottom and that it was bland. As a fellow Korean, let me give you some advice. Wait a few minutes and let the rice cook more because the stone bowl is still hot. lift up the bottom until you see crunchy bits and then you could start mixing. Excellent mix of seasoned vegetables and rice. They give you the gochujang bottle sauce on the side. you can adjust it to your level. Soon Tofu Soup 5/5. I've had a lot of tofu soup of what I like about this one is that it had a good balance of tofu, kimchi was not super sour like some restaurants and they give you an egg on the side. Very clean finish. Banchan 5/5: The highlight for me was the banchan. I went with a very picky eater friend and she really loved the kimchi ,the cucumber kimchi ,the fish cakes, japchae. They put a lot of effort into making the banchan - which I recognize right away. They also fill up if you run out and the dishes are larger than normal restaurants. Amazing. You read my mind. Interior 4/5: It is a smaller, more intimate seating.( about 25-30 people) . It still has the vibes of of a Korean eatery with K-pop music playing on the TV screen, wooden benches and chairs. You'll have to wait a bit if you go during peak hours and parking is a bit difficult. I suggest going within the first hour they open up when there's less crowds.

At the other location in Milpitas, everyone gets his/her own bento plate with individual banchan. Positives: Service was good and food was pretty tasty Negatives: Prices were high and the menu was lacking (wanted a simple bbq chicken but none to be found). We made a reservation ahead of time so we got to sit down without waiting. Our waitress was very kind and food came after ordering within reasonable waiting time. We ordered two tofu bowl dishes, honey rice drink, yellow plum wine and spicy oxtail. The tofu bowl is much smaller than other restaurants. The meal came with 10 small banchan dishes for each person, all delicious. My mix tofu bowl had a piece of real snow crab in it which explains why it cost $29. The oxtail was my favorite. It wasn't very spicy and was very soft and tasty. The honey rice drink and yellow plum wine were both good. The ambience was noisy, we had to speak louder so we could hear each other. My daughter paid for the bill and I got up to go to the restroom. The bathroom was small. There are two stalls in the bathroom so there was only limited space for more than one people to stand and wash their hands in the sink. When I finished using the toilet and was about to wash my hands and to floss my teeth, the door to the other stall opened and a Korean lady and her two young daughters came out. Since I was still searching in my purse for the floss, I let one of the little girl to wash her hands first. In the meantime time the bathroom door opened and it was the waitress who served at our table. So at this time, there were five people standing together in this very tight space. Since our waitress was so nice serving us, I moved myself into the tight space between the sink and the stall so she could open the door to the stall and use the toilet. Then I heard a loud noise, 'Can you move and give my daughter more space?' I turned my face around and saw this Korean lady was waving her hand towards me while her other daughter was playing with the water in the sink. I felt so intimididated and told her that I was making room so the waitress could get inside the stall. Sensing the unfriendly attitude from the Korean lady, I snuggled away from the sink where her daughter stood. Then the Korean lady sent both her daughters away and went in to use the bathroom. I quickly washed my hands, flossed and left. I did not want to argue with her because how you can one talk sense with a rude person? What will you do if you were me? This episode spoiled the whole evening!
