The food is actually good. The portion of the appetizer is very generous. 1 slice of toast was completely burnt, we asked for a replacement, they brought out new toasts and charged $1 on the bill. I don't think it's a good practice.

OVERVIEW: Large space with plenty of outdoor and indoor seating. Older building that could use a refresh. Food was pretty average all around - not bad but nothing to write home about! Service was okay. Very casual, popular spot with decent happy hour deals and a good variety menu. We came specifically for their newer Thursday "Girl Dinner" special. A couple of nit-pick things that dampened the experience: the flies inside that hung around our table the entire time we were there, the lack of table space for our dishes (I understand we're only a party of 2 but it's frustrating to order things and not have space), and the gentle nudge to leave by a certain time for an upcoming reservation. QUICK FACTS: - Parking? Yes, there are some spots directly in front of the restaurant and a shared public open lot to the left of it. - Reservations? No, not needed. It did get quite busy after 5:30ish (happy hour runs until 6:30pm) and for larger parties, definitely recommend. - Happy hour? Yes, daily from 3-6:30pm! $3 off apps, $6 cocktails and drinks. - Girl Dinner is available Thursdays all day and includes a caesar salad or chicken caesar wrap, fries (reg, Parmesan, or sweet potato), and a martini (reg, espresso, or seasonal). FOOD RATINGS: - Fried zucchini (2/5): Too thickly cut. I thought these would be zucchini chips, but they were chunks. Not my fave. - Fried shrimp (4/5): Great size and good, light cornmeal batter! Would order these again. - Mussels (4/5): Delicious cream sauce! Love mussels and these were pretty good. - Caesar wrap (3/5): Not the best one I've had. Pretty bland honestly. Still a good deal. - Sweet potato fries (4/5): Loved the cut and perfect amount of salt. Came out room temp though so not ideal. - Parmesan fries (3/5): These cost an extra $1 which is a little petty for some parm thrown on top. Good cut but meh flavor.

10/10. Such a beautiful space, wonderful service and delicious food. Not to mention that there's plenty of parking and indoor and outdoor seating. Everything we got was delicious, especially the pork schnitzel. Highly recommend if you're ever in the area!

Hank's has been coming with a bunch of weekday deals that have caught my eye. On Wednesdays they have a $23 Happy Meal and on Thursday they have a $20 Girl Dinner. Both were great experiences but I liked the Happy Meal more bc it comes with one of their frozens which is essential for this hot Texas summer. Despite being packed with customers, the service was still prompt and I had no problem finding parking in the lot infront. Definitely make a reservation or be prepared to wait 45min-1hr if you are interested in either deal.

Came here for dinner with friends and had a nice time, the food and drinks were good! I really enjoyed my chicken ceasar wrap and everyone else liked what they ordered as well. We were a little disappointed with the service though. It took a very long time for our server to take our order and then for us to get our check. The restaurant itself is super but and has a very nice patio but they should really invest in adding something to help absorb some of the noise.

I've passed by this place way too many times and never got to try it. Today, when our plan to eat ramen was ruined by a 2hr waitlist to get a table, we decided to give it a try. We got a booth right the way, got some happy hour cocktails and an appetizer. I can definitely tell that their Hanky Panky Tiki was hanky-panking good. Lox board was huge and it felt like a whole meal to at could be shared by two. However we also had entrees. I went for a chicken sandwich and it was really well seasoned, not dry at all. I added some arugula and capers from the lox board to it and it went sooooo well together. I would definitely like to come back some time.

It does just fine. I really liked the hummus and pita. The steak frites fell flat afterwards. The drinks are strong and I appreciated that!

I've been here a few times already and it is consistently a good spot in the neighborhood with a lot of parking. Off the times I've been here I can always get a seat since the restaurant is quite huge. Happy hour deals are great. The Monday half off burger is even better. Cocktails are good, staff is very fast and friendly. The food came out so fast that i don't not even been able to build my lox sandwich for a bite. I do really recommend the lox appetizer. Which is really actually a meal. You get a lot out of it.

This was my first time at Hanks! I've heard great things about this spot from my friends. I love that there was plenty of parking in front and there's additional parking in the back. We had a reservation at 11:30am and were seated promptly. I wasn't expecting the space to be so big! There was great patio seating as well and it was all covered! The Lemon Ricotta pancakes were delicious! The blueberry compote on top was great. The pancakes don't need to be drenched though. Looks unappetizing (it would be nice if this came on the side though!) I love the pairing on Lemon and blueberry especially in the summer! The pancakes were soft, creamy a little sour and sweet! Nicely balanced. The serving size is huge that comes with 3 large pancakes that can be shared. For drinks I ordered a chai latte which was just water and cinnamon :( I think they forgot the mix and I had to send it back. I got a to go matcha instead. I also tried The Whale & The Butterfly which had Gin and Butterfly Pea-flower in it. Very tangy! It was a pretty drink but too sour tasting for me. The Chantilly cake was fine. Not my favorite because of the excess frosting but my friend loved it. Service was pretty slow, so I'm taking 1 star off for that. I've also heard that the dinner menu is subpar so I'd stick with the brunch menu.

Great happy hour - daily from 3-6:30 I think! $9 frozen drinks and 1/2 off appetizers We love the fried zucchini- delicious!! They also do bogo burger specials on Monday - we love to do this! It's a great deal My husband always gets the burger - his favorite I have tried the grilled cheese before and the tomato soup - AMAZING! Frozen Paloma is my favorite - they also do frose! Service is always great and friendly Patio is dog friendly and super nice and spacious - indoor is very cute!! We have also gotten the doughnuts and they are so freaking good This time I got the kale Cesar salad with grilled chicken - def not bad but probably won't order again

Stopped by here for a snack and a drink with a friend. The service was friendly and very quick, and there was plenty of seating, both in a cafe area and a restaurant area. We got fries, sweet potato fries, and brussel sprouts. They accidently gave us fries when we ordered sweet potato fries, so they let us keep both. Each were fairly good, and a decent portion, too. I also got a drink, I believe it was an ube mojito. I remember liking it but think I'd be tempted by some of the others too. Overall recommended as a nice, relatively quiet place to hang out or get some food. Can't speak to the entrees as I didnt get any, though heard they were good, too.

Great location, lots of free parking, and lots of seating inside and outside. There is a restaurant portion and a cafe portion. The cafe is great for WFH and has plenty of outlets. I didn't see many outlets in the restaurant portion, so I wouldn't recommend sitting there if you want to WFH. There is some cute bar seating, too. Service is good but can be a little slow at times. This is a great place to eat if you're not in a huge rush. The menu is not super ample, but it has some classics. Starters to share, soups and salads, sandwiches and burgers, and pizzas. A cute little spot to check out if you're in the area!

Hanks is a super cute spot, with lots of open seating and a nice aesthetic. If you go to the cafe side, I imagine it's a really nice spot to get some work done, and I've heard good things about their drinks. They also have a drive through, so you can also get it to go! (But it closes at 8.) I think Hanks might be better known for their brunch, after seeing so many pictures of their breakfast items. But we came for dinner at 6:30pm on a Thursday, and had no wait in getting a table. Overall, the food was pretty decent, but also not necessarily anything special. Some standouts for me were that the pizza tasted better than it looked, and I liked the huge chunks of goat cheese in the salad. But I wish the Brussels sprouts were crispier. I do want to come back, but probably only to try the cafe or brunch.

    Ask the Community - Hank's

Do you only have seeded buns?

Can you give me vegan meal options? I know I can have the frosé or an oat chai latte, but it would be nice to be able to eat since often friends want to go here & I have to persuade them to go somewhere else. Thx.

Hi Vivian. We do have several options that can be made vegan, with minor altercations. Our Brussels Sprouts and Crispy Rice Bowl are vegan without any changes to the recipe. We can also adjust the recipes on the Hummus & Pita, Garden & Goat Salad…

Do they still have a drive thru? If so, where is the menu for the drive thru posted? I can't find it anywhere. Can someone take a picture of it and add it to here?

Yes. Drive thru open 7am- 5pm

    Dog allowed on patio?

Yup! There are dogs there all the time.

Is the wifi in the cafe password protected?

    No it's not.

Is the veggie burger vegan, or can it be made vegan?

I don't think so, I asked and they said it had egg in it 😕

What is the happy hour menu and times?

HH is every day!! 3-6:30pm $5 frozen and Tap drinks…

I am wondering what gluten-free & dairy free options you may have?

I ate here and got the trout avocado salad. I am dairy free and gluten free

We've been wanting to check out this shop for quite sometime and finally had the chance. From the minute we walked in the door the vibe was on! Our barista, Litsa was incredible! She was fun and bouncy and had so much positive energy. She even helped me create a concoction of sorts. Like most, lavender is my go-to. But, I also wanted toasted marshmallow and so I was torn. She suggested a combo of the two for my cappuccino (with oat milk of course). Wow! It was spectacular. I was so beyond miserable when I walked in the door (the rain) and she turned things around for me within 30 seconds of interacting. Her positivity and kindness were through the roof! My cappuccino concoction...so good I think it should be a menu feature! The banana guard iced latte my boyfriend got was equally as delicious. It was like an ice cream treat for grown-ups. Everything about the shop is so welcoming. Warm lighting, comfortable seating, and spacious. So much for the eye to take in as they have offerings from local artists and craftspeople for sale. A mini store if you will. All lined neatly on wall hanging shelves. They've got candles, pottery, jewelry, clothing, etc. All the goodies you'd expect to find at a gift and craft, artisan shop. Fitting since the drinks they put out are liquid art. Since it's about a ten-minute walk from home, it'll definitely be a new stop when going to the pet store. Wonderful experience on a dreary day.

Radio Rosewood wants to keep the party going all day and late into the night, offering food outside of "goes with coffee" and a beautifully appointed bar. Having said this, I just needed coffee, so my review is going to focus on that. The featured coffees here are roasted by their own RCB Roasters, and my selection was their Ethiopian Guji, promising some nice acidity and brightness from its lighter leaning roast profile. The coffee "space" is compact here, but they're using good gear and seem to have the staff to use it well. My espresso was served with sparking water, and was just as I'd hoped, a bright cup with citrus acidity that was well structured, but not overly acidic or bitter at all. It was a winner all around. I'll have to get back in for an adult beverage on my next visit, but I was pleased to see that us coffee lovers can still get a good "fix" here!
