Located in the plaza with 85 degrees and is next to chipotle. My cousin recommended the pho here and I'm really impressed. I usually get pho in Little Saigon, and was in this area with my dad. The restaurant is clean, the kitchen has a see thru mirror so I feel better about the cleanliness here. The waiter is the older gentleman, he's pretty nice, just straight to the point as the place gets pretty busy. I ordered the pho special and the noodles are wider (my favorite and an option only available at some pho restaurants in OC), and the broth and beef taste amazing. I actually finished the whole bowl. What was super special was the Hanoi spring rolls with the quail eggs. It was simply delicious and so unique. The eggrolls were also very good. This is place relatively new Vietnamese restaurants in Pomona/Montclair area, so we figured to check it out. First the place outside can be deceiving as a typical Vietnamese restaurant that you would expect, but once you go inside, it has beautiful wallpapers on its wall of all the famous landmarks in Vietnam, making your heart to be back in a place in the country. The seating is very nice with plenty of booths for privacy if you care about that. One thing that some Vietnamese restaurants missed is a good condiments on the table. Hanoi Kitchen got it right with sliced garlic vinegar and chillies fish sauce We ordered Hainan Chicken and Bun Cha Hanoi. Both just absolutely awesome! My wife was a Hanoi native and she claimed that the meals are close to what she had over there. Even the limitless ice tea is pretty good. This place is like the Vietnamese version of Kalaveras, the waiters all have the energy and vibe even super late at night! The food hits the spot just right - it's just one of those places you gotta try and you'll know what I mean. I don't know what all the hype is about this place. The pho tai was nothing special, the meat was tender but they only give you 4 maybe 5 pieces at the most. It's mainly onions and noodles. The combination fried rice had good flavor but only two shrimps, a few pieces of chicken and a ton of sausage. The banh mi was mediocre. For sure the bread was old because it just fell apart with each bite. I would say this restaurant is over priced for the lack of quality and quantity of food given.
