Highly recommend this place to anyone who needs their car repair! Went to them to put may airflow tube and told them that there's something wrong with my transmission. Eric told me that my transmission is different unlike the cars they they fixed, so he suggest to try call other places for it to be done cause it's cant be done there and if they did try it will never help my transmission to be fixed. All the mechanics I've dealt with here are nice and knowledgeable. They get things done and have you on your way. Even when getting parts installed they give me a hard time (jokingly) because I ask for difficult tasks to be done but they get it done in a kind manner. DO NOT BRING YOUR CAR HERE! Right off the bat, the owner is very rude and upcharges for every single service. I only came here because I needed to get an oil change and a nail out of my tire but was far from my normal shop. The owner quoted me the highest price I'd ever paid for a synthetic oil change and tire fix. The whole process only took about 20 minutes which suprised me but I should have known it was too good to be true because about 12 hours after I left the shop my tire light came in again and the patch was leaking air. I ended up having to go to another shop to fix the issue and I found out that my car had regular/conventional oil rather than the synthetic oil change I paid for. A total waste of time and money with horrible customer service. read more

If you don't want to worry about second-guessing whether you're getting schlepped around, this is the place to go. I have a mini cooper that has all kinds of issues coming up on the computer (which he was kind enough to show me), but he checked off all of the ones that weren't urgent and told me exactly what was necessary now and what I could wait on. Any other mechanic would have given me the death knell, but Mr. Han was kind enough to limit his work to what was absolutely needed (tire rotation, oil change) and told me to come back later to fix other things (actually change the tires, new spark plugs) so that I could save some money. In his own words (roughly translated), he said, "I don't play games with my customers because it equates to telling the customer not to come back." He will diagnose your car's problems, give you as honest of an assessment of the seriousness of each issue as you can get, and let you decide what you want to do. What more could you want? read more

My boyfriend needed an oil change and wanted to get one done right after work, and didn't want to wait too long since we were really hungry. I called in HANS BEVERLY AUTO to ask if there was a wait & to ask for the price for an oil change. Thankfully there was no wait, & the price for an oil change is VERY reasonable. My boyfriend originally wanted the synthetic oil (which costed about 2x more), however, Eric recommended that we didn't need the synthetic oil & gave us reasonable reasons as to why we didn't need synthetic oil. So we ended up saving some money in the end. They also noticed that there was a nail in one of our tires and we had it patched up for a reasonable price as well. Woot! Thanks Eric. Was turned away for service ! My dealer told me I needed new brake pads when I went in for service. Since I could not wait for an additional 2 hours for the brake service I opted to do it somewhere else. I came to Hans due to all the rave reviews, and I am not disappointed. They explained to me I could still get a good 1 or 2 months from the current brake pads. Who does that nowadays?? So they told me to come back in a month, and they'd take a look again. Been here on numerous occasions as this place is right down the street from my apartment. Prices are fair and clearly labeled at the front of the shop. $30 for an oil change, $200 to fix my front breaks when they started screeching, $20 for a tire rotation. A few months ago, one of my tires got scraped pretty badly. They patched it up for free and directed me to TM Tires down the street on Beverly, which I also highly recommend. A few weeks ago I found myself in trouble in Koreatown. As I was driving through late on a Saturday afternoon in my little MR2 Spyder, I noticed my engine light at come on. Then I noticed the oil temperature guage was pegged to the max. Then, moments later, both the power steering and the power brakes went out. I pulled over and - since I was unfamiliar with the area - did a quick search for nearby shops with high ratings. Hans Beverly Auto was near the top of the list, so I called. Mr. Kim told me to have the car towed over and he'd be able to look at it in the morning (Sunday!). So I did. On Sunday morning, he called me with a diagnosis - the alternator belt had broken. Additionally, the serpentine belt was very, very old and needed replacing. I authorized all the repairs. By Sunday afternoon, I was picking up my working car. Besides the quoted repairs, he had topped off the oil, replaced my crappy windshield wipers, washed the car, and even cleaned the engine compartment! He was a true hero and if I lived even a few miles closer, he'd have all my business, all the time. read more

Used to be a fan of this place but I won't be back. Dealt with the "translator," who loved jacking up the price of my service. I mean no offense by this but my advice is to go to a shop where u can communicate with the mechanic directly. I loved hearing him charge an Asian woman $30 and me $35 for an oil change (both toyota, about the same year.) And also charging me $20 dollars for a radiator cap.. which I found after the fact at autozone for $5. Jokes on me and now I know better. Women beware and always get a second opinion! Mr. Kim and his team of mechanics are talented and so honest. I came in when my tire sensor popped up. The team was in the middle of lunch, stopped eating, and took a thorough look at each of my wheels. They put air in and had my car ready so quickly. I felt bad because he wasn't going to charge me even though they spent like 30 min of their lunch time to assist me. So I tipped them because I did not feel right walking away for free. Called in to get an oil change the day before my visit to let them know what time I would be coming in so that I could be helped right away. As soon as I got to the shop, the man who I spoke to knew who I was right away because he remembered what car I told him I had! That is already a great example of customer service While I waited for my car to be serviced, I took a seat at their clean and shaded waiting area with lots of room for customers. These guys were quick and efficient. My oil change was done within about 20 minutes. And when I was done, I even received a mini roll of wet wipes in the cutest container!
