I was looking at a place to service my 2005 Toyota closer to home rather than by my work and my sister suggested Hans. I greatly appreciated their ongoing communication and updates on what was going on with my car! Every time I called, I was quickly connected to Larry who was in charge of servicing my car. Everything that needed to be fixed on my car was clearly laid out and explained and all my questions and concerns were addressed. Originally It was supposed to take a week to have everything completed on my car, but the crew at Hans put in extra hours to get it done in just two days for me. Another follow up to my original. This used 2013 C 250 comes with it its maintenance challenges. I have had the car since May of this year. Last week I was driving home and heard a clinking noise coming from the right side of the car. Called Hans next morning, dropped car off, and he took care of it. Turns out the other mechanic who I paid hundreds of dollars to to replace the sway bar links did not tighten it or take care of it. Hans took care of it. Took my car for service. I think the name of the person that worked on my car is Richard. He took it upon himself to replace my windshield wiper, factory brand with a cheap $10 wiper. He charged me $40. He never asked me if I want to replace my original wiper. When I brought it up with the owner, his response was "AND" like there was nothing wrong with replacing something in my car without pre approval. Was very disappointed. I was referred to Hans Imports by a friend when my long-time Mercedes mechanic suddenly moved away. My appointment was for a regularly scheduled servicing. At Hans I was offered a ride back home after dropping off my car, and was told they would come and bring me back if I needed that as well. (This ride service obviously might depend on the distance involved - I live within a couple of miles). I was pleased when they found no other issues with the car, only recommending that in the near future to consider replacing the front tires. (I'm always suspicious of suggestions of additional work that "needs" to be done. That was not the case here.) The invoice was comparable to my previous experience with servicing. The mechanic and the office cashier were friendly and professional. I will use Hans Imports again in the future. read more

Just had my Prius door lock repaired here. I have brought my other cars here but took my Prius to HB Toyota up until now. HB Toyota had fixed another door in 2015 with the same problem. When I took it in this time the repair was almost 40% higher. Many excuse given. I paid the $90 mandatory fee and left. I took it to Hans Imports and their price ended up being about$25 dollars less than I paid on the other door in 2015. I hope HB Toyota enjoys their $90 fee. I now know I can no less ne'er trust them. I have always gotten outstanding help from Hans and the others he has working there. I have been going to Hans for over 50 years. I first started going to him in 1973 when I moved to HB on the recommendation of a friend. I had been living in Long Beach and had gone to at least 3 mechanics who could not diagnose and could not fix a problem I was having with my VW. I went to Hans, told him what was happening, and he told me after my description exactly what the problem was. It was a minor problem that he fixed immediately and charged me next to nothing and for the next 50 years I got great service every time. I couldn't be happier with the service Hans has provided me for these past 50 years. The last time I was in, I told Larry about a problem that my stepson was having with his car and he gave me some great advice that my stepson could tell his mechanic and that's how my stepson got his car fixed. read more

I have been having Hans service all my cars for 20+ years, and I am always impressed with their quality and service. They are not the cheapest place you can go to, but they always fix it right at a reasonable price, and use quality parts for the repairs. This is one of the few repair shops where I feel comfortable sending my wife, my father-in-law, and my friends who are clueless about auto repair - they are trustworthy and will only recommend repairs they would make on the car if it were their own. As an example: My wife came home from a dealer service with $4000 worth of additional "recommended repairs" to her car (engine mounts, rear oil seal leak, suspension and bushings, and a bunch more). I took it to Hans, and they recommended to only do the mount and rear seal, all for under $1000. Hans comment on the $2000+ worth of suspension work: "Is there some wear? Of course there is at 70K miles. Do I consider it worn enough to need to repair it? No". Thanks Hans, Hans Jr, and your staff for great service over all these years! read more
