This place is fantastic and totally worth the hype! The restaurant itself is very small so when we went in (7/18/24) they were not doing any take out orders but strictly dine in. They open at 5pm and we were there a little after 5:30pm and got the last table. Food came out very quickly and the staff were very friendly. We started with the Korean Burrata Salad, then for dinner we had the Bánh Mì Pizza (so amazingly delicious!), Margherita Pizza (very good. I wasn't a big fan of the thinly sliced garlic but my husband loved it so I picked mine off and gave to him) and a cheese pizza for the kids. All pizzas were devoured. Then we ended with the Strawberry Sago (coconut tapioca pudding) and Strawberry Kinako Panna Cotta for dessert. All very delicious! We will be back! read more

A waste. Money, time and anticipation. Big let down here. Since I am a positive person I'll start with the good. The crust was light, pleasant tasting with the right amount of char. Now, reality. The picture shows like a 'loaded' pizza. What you'll get is a borderline sparse pizza. Product description says "Slow Cooked Brisket." Really? I never saw or tasted, ANY, worth having. House Pho sauce? If you say so.. Never tasted anything other than a couple of sprouts and some really sickly, sweet Hoisin sauce. WAY TOO SWEET! And, that's easy to knock down, too. Sweeter than Chucky Cheese. And, they put sugar on that pizza, for the kid's. Super small pizza with downright tiny, half a hand slices for $23. In closing, the pizza was held together with some really rubbery cheese. Biting into it, you'll swear somebody cut out a 8" piece of Scuba Suit and then laid it upon the crust. This was my first time with Hapa Pizza - they are still at the Beaverton Saturday Market even with their new brick and mortar location which is only open for dinner right now (but might have expanded hours for summer?) The service is super friendly and efficient. So impressed with the team and how they are churning out these yummy Asian-inspired pizzas! (They also do have traditional margarita and pepperoni pizza as well) It does get a little busy but the vibes are on point with their fancy portable pizza ovens! It's some voodoo magic to get the pizza to taste just like pho but that was my favorite for sure! The crust was perfectly crispy with a nice chew and the toppings all work harmoniously with each other for maximum flavor. I haven't really tried much Asian fusion pizza before but I think this is my sign to start! We came on a weekday evening and there was a short line to order. We got one Pho Pizza and one Massaman Curry Pizza. So glad they offer vegan cheese substitute, it really help us cheese intolerant peeps. There was a bit of a wait for our food to arrive, so they offered us a couple of Hawaiian juices on them m. I didn't really mind the wait though since I was entertained by watching them make the pizzas from their open kitchen and wood fired oven. The Pho Pizza had a nice meaty flavor that was reminiscent of the pho beef broth. The fresh herb toppings added a nice brightness to the pizza. Overall it had a delicious flavor that is fitting as a pizza. The Massaman Curry Pizza was good too, I was expecting more of a prominent curry flavor rather than a subtle one but it was still good nonetheless. When I arrived there were some diners outside eating at a couple of tables. The interior is cute but small. I called in my order and was told it would be 20 minutes- which it was. Service was excellent. Size wise not too big or small. I ordered the pho one it was delicious- I wish it had a little more meat on it for the price.The crust is chewy and tasty. New brick and mortar Asian-inspired pizza! I loved the thin, light crust. It's definitely a more refined take on pizza. You order at the counter and they call your name when it's ready. You bus your own table and there is self-serve water. Pho: my favorite part was the brisket, which was tender and flavorful. The overall pizza didn't scream pho, but I love this concept for pizza toppings. Massaman curry: nice sweet curry flavor. The tofu didn't add much flavor-wise. It would be nice if it was cooked in the curry sauce. Both pizzas were delicious and filling, but not heavy. I can't wait come come back and try the Tom yum and banh mi pizzas! We decided to try this pizza place on a Thursday night. Let me start by saying the pizza was very good. We tried the meat lovers and the margherita pizzas and thought both were delicious. However, the place is very small with limited indoor seating and the service counter is a few steps from the front door creating a clog of disorganization the minute you walk in. After sorting out who was first and waiting our turn to order, we were concerned that we would have to take our pizza to go since there were no tables available. Environment: Very small place as it can fit around 4 -5 tables at most 2-4 people per seating with chairs touching back to back . Most of the area is making the pizzas with one big-ish stove in the back. Staff: it was their grand opening so they were very busy. Those who got my ordered and called my name were kind and thanked me for waiting. To be clear: I did wait 1.5 hours for their grand opening. Things took awhile, lots of people were in line, pizzas were made right on the spot BUT the 3.5 is not about the waiting but just the pizza. On a side note, I don't know how many pizzas can be baked at once but the line was very long and many may have waited longer than I did. Pizza: Banh Mi Pizza caught my attention. It had mozzarella cheese, lemongrass grilled pork bites, pickled daikon and carrots, cilantro, cucumber sauce and I omitted sriracha aioli. $15. Mine was very unfortunate that half of my pizza crust was burnt, to the point that I couldn't eat half the crust. The other half was nice and it had a good chewiness but it wasn't hard to bite. I liked the bounciness of it but it was so burnt on one side, I felt like it was wasted. For the price, I was really hoping for more meat. A banh mi has lots of pickled veggies and meat and I wished that each bite had meat. The flavor was pretty good as it had nice lemongrass flavors and it did remind me eating a banh mi overall but I think the amount of toppings could be more. I have been a Yelp member for years and this is my very first review. THAT'S how mind blowing this restaurant is. Two simple questions: do you like pizza? Do you like pho? If so, don't walk but RUN to Hapa Pizza to try their Pho pizza. The concept is so creative and they magically somehow created a bowl of pho on a pizza crust. I seriously can't EVEN with this place. And the crust! THE CRUST! It is classic chewy and charred wood fired at its best. The family that owns/runs it is charming and you can't help but root for their success. This restaurant is another HUGE feather in the food scene hat of Beaverton. To be honest, I can't wait to see what they do with plain ol' pepperoni! I've been hearing good things about Hapa since before they had an actual store. Nice backstory of young couple who master a great product, sell at local farmers' market, work hard, save money, open small pizzeria in old building literally by the railroad tracks. We finally made it into downtown Beaverton today. Why did we wait so long??? We ordered the Banh Mi and the Massaman Curry and wow! Both were spot on. My first half dozen bites were just eating around the crust to really check it out. Thin, super tasty, chewy, great char without burning up the whole crust. My husband liked the curry pizza better. I preferred the banh mi, though both were great. The combination of flavors and textures in the banh mi just popped, leading to a mouthful of wonderful. This husband and wife seem to be doing everything right--start modest, limited hours, smallish high-quality menu (7 types, only 12" pizzas) with fresh items, friendly service, very clean venue and what, to my unprofessional eye, looked like one bad-ass pizza oven. Every visit to Hapa Pizza is a joy, I was first introduced to them through the Beaverton Farmers Market (where they always sold out!) and I'm glad to be able to visit their brick and mortar now. Their customer service is top notch and feels like a warm hug, and food comes out rather quickly for fresh baked pizza! I'm usually bummed that their menu is limited to pizzas and salads, but when I take that first bite of pizza I always remember why- their pizza is just THAT GOOD. Great balance of flavors, never too heavy and I love the combination of cooked/fresh toppings. We got there right before it opened on a Friday night. I'm so glad we did because we ordered and the wait was short, but there were a lot of online orders they were working on. I've had pizza in Italy and I've finally found one that compares! The dough was everything. Puffy and chewy and not soggy. I love the fusion too. We ordered the bahn mi and the pho. We read the New York Times review and decided to stop by when we were in Beaverton. We ordered the Korean Burratta Salad as appetizer which came beautifully presented with cucumbers stacked in a beautiful ring with the burratta cheese in the middle. It was delicious! The two pizzas we had were 12 inches - banh mi pizza and the pho pizza. Highly recommend the banh mi pizza as the cilantro made the taste so fresh, delicious and memorable! The crust is incredibly light and chewy. I wanted to order another to go, but hubby said not this time. We had plans for a special dinner already. This gem is so busy that they acquired the space next door and plan to remodel. Hapa-uponed this great restaurant on a rainy Friday evening in early October. The inviting vibe of the space drew us in and the friendliness of the staff encouraged us further. It's a small space so the dining experience is essentially in the pizza kitchen but that was part of the fun for us as we watched our pizza dough get stretched out and loaded with toppings. Now, I've had a lot of non-traditional pizzas over the years (cheeseburger pizzas, Kabab pizzas, pizzas with pickles) but the Bahn Mi pizza at Hapa Pizza was one of my favorites. One of the hottest spots in Beaverton Farmer's Market if not on the west side. Thankfully word is there will be a brick and mortar location close to Tan Tan later this year. Come before 10:30am... by 11:30am they'll start running out of ingredients and you'll have to come back. What commonly is a noodle soup in the form of a pizza? Surely not?! Well, in many cases it works, especially the pho flavored one. Seems like the secret for that dish is a hoisin based sauce with brisket that does taste like it was braised with the pho flavors that make the broth. What's missing is some form of rice noodles to really finish it off, but then again your carbs are the pizza dough instead of noodle I guess. For garnish and flavors, bean sprouts and basil/cilantro are present. Follow the same philosophy for banh mi and tom yum where some of the flavors are from the sauce and maybe some of the meats. It's NOT a crispy crust, but it's nice and chewy crust All in all a very unique experience worth trying, whether strategizing how to get to Farmers Market, park, line up and make it back yet car (if takeout) or wait for the storefront. read more

Went to the Beaverton Farmers market and noticed their stall. I had been wanting to try their pizzas for a little while as I'm a big fan of pizza and also intrigued whenever someone tries to put a spin on classic cuisines. I dunno. Maybe I'm just picky, but I was a bit underwhemed. We ordered the Banh Mi pizza and left my number for a reminder. We hung around close to the stall and got food at another stall. When we returned, my wife pointed out somebody had called my name. I checked my phone but no message was sent telling me my order was ready.... I opened the box. The pizza looked amazing. But the flavor was a bit lackluster. I don't think the price matches the end product either. I will be hard-pressed to return to try one of their other pizzas for the price alone. I really enjoyed the crust. I'm a pizza fanboy, and to me, the crust is the most important part. But even an amazing crust can't justify sparsely sprinkling on little bits of pork belly and pickled daikon on it. I tasted each individual element as one might nibble on a slice of pepperoni or mushroom. The pork belly bits were tender but had nothing memorable about the flavor. The same could be said about the "pickled daikon," which barely had pickle flavor. I think conceptually it's unique and creative. But I'm gonna have to get my pizza fix elsewhere. As the Hapa Pizza website says "Asian-inspired Neapolitan style pizzas." It's an interesting combination. Unfortunately, any time I see the word "fusion" applied to food, my skeptical hat goes on. Usually that means that whoever can't decide what they are really good at. The owners at Hapa Pizza know EXACTLY what they are really good at and you need to experience and enjoy it. Pho, Pork Belly Kimchi, Bánh Mì, Massaman Curry, along with a Margherita (with Thai basil), Pepperoni and Meat Lovers pizzas are all represented on the menu. There's a simple Cheese pizza for the less adventuresome (or maybe kids) too. Priced from $12 to $17, all pizzas are about 12 inches in size and have a wonderful chewy crust. Perfectly charred in the wood fire oven for 90 seconds. We tried the Banh Mi ($17): lemongrass pork, mozzarella cheese, pickled daikon and carrots, cilantro, with a cucumber/sriracha aioli drizzle. The pork had a bit of hard fat on it but it was overall delicious. I'm not a fan of cucumber but the sriracha/cucumber drizzle was just right, maybe a little sweet. I'd order it again. We also tried the Massaman Curry ($16): mild Thai Massaman curry sauce, thinly sliced potatoes, yellow onions, red peppers, peanuts, fried onions, cilantro, and your choice of grilled lemongrass pork or tofu. We got the pork. This was the best of the two imho. Not overpowered by the curry and the fried onions and peanuts were an amazing combination. I'd definitely order this one again in a heartbeat. Hapa Pizza also offers, a couple Thai steak salads, Pork Belly skewers and Cheesy Garlic Parmesan Bread. The menu changes up and I want to try the Tom Yum pizza sometime when it's offered.It's a fairly small place but very clean and you can watch the pizza Masters at work in the open kitchen.
