It was a slight hassle to go back and forth, but 2 hands is better than 1! Service wasn't the best, the staff wasn't really attentive to us. They only refilled our soup 2x in a 1.5 hour seating. Was not a huge fan of this hot pot place... My boyfriend and I decided to come here after the wait at two other hotpot places nearby were too long. We got the House special AYCE which was $29. They have a cheaper option which doesn't include unlimited hot pot meat for $24. All of their non meat options are "buffet style" where you grab a plate and take what you want. The sacha sauce at the sauce bar was bad. This is the base of my sauce, so I couldn't get it right. Having the right sauce at hotpot is top 2 requirements of having a good hotpot experience IMO. (Second is having good quality beef brisket) The pork broth was decent too but the tomato broth was lackluster. In terms of service, when we sat down, we had like 10 seconds to pick a broth and then the waiter took the menu away. I didn't even get to look at the other beverages that were offered! The buffet was clean and the utensils were properly looked after to make sure most of the foods avoided contamination and the items were kept separated and organized so I knew exactly where to look and for what. The quality of everything tasted fresh and albeit it's hotpot you're going to get some things frozen but those things still tasted great in the broth. I think the real highlights of my meal were the beef platter; I thought the fatty beef was delicious and shared a texture with little bacon strips dancing on your tongue. Now, you pay a flat rate of $23.95 and you can to your heart desire. There is a catch, if you leave back food or you are going to take home leftovers, you will be charged $37.95. The entire table has to pay for the same level so vegetarians will pay more if they're dining with meat eaters.
