Horrible Horrible experience last week. First time here. No AT&T service in this area. When I finished the first round order, the waiter just reduced some in my order, just because he thought we cannot eat that much. The food selections are wonderful. What we had order didn't come out and we had to flag them down to get their attention. I hope they are not like this all the time. If so, I won't ever come back. I will go back again to see if this place is really bad with serving or it just the waiter that couldn't speak English and refused to serve us. To those of you who never been there and you order spicy broth and the non spicy broth, make sure you don't bite on the spice that they put in there. Your tongue will be numb if you bite into it. My bf and I were hyped when we saw this place, but we personally think it was overhyped by the experience we had. It's AYCE for $21.99, or you can do it individually, which I can see most people doing if you are on your own, or you know you won't eat much. We opted for the half and half broth. At first, the spicy broth was really good, it has a wonderful flavor with a kick to it. The original was meh, as it tasted like a ramen seasoning packet was placed in there. But as the servers continue to add more and more broth to it (which is excellent! Never liked how when I keep eating, the broth goes down and I'm left with a quarter full of broth and no one decides to refill it for me), the spiciness turned into the original broth. Also, I don't believe they really looked at how many things we marked for certain items. For example, we asked for two orders of the corn, which is two for one order.. But we only got two. It's fine, since we did AYCE. Would've been a bigger deal if I ordered it individually. Service was quick, not much talking involved. But I do appreciate them checking by just walking by as they look to see if we need anything, or if there were any plates to be taken away. Kind of a downer to see that if you do AYCE, you only have an hour and a half or two hour limit. But with the fast service, it shouldn't be a problem. read more

So I went here at the suggestion of a few Chinese friends of mine. So apparently this restaurant is actually a major restaurant chain in China, and was acquired recently by the American Yum! Brands, which manages KFC, Taco Bell, Pizza Hut and a few other chains. Coincidentally, I hate all of these restaurants. Would Little Sheep be equally revolting? Thankfully that was not the case. The interior is pretty small. It's tucked into the corner of the (formerly named) Asia World Market shopping center. The interior is kind of dark but it doesn't try for an upscale ambiance. It's basically all booth seating and a bunch of weird decorating lighting elements. You'll see when you get there. So how is the food? Everything was fresh, which was a good start. The hotpot is split into regular and spicy broths, and they taste superb. If you want to get your money's worth, ask for the lamb. It's quite obvious that lamb is the most expensive item on the menu, because they slice it extra thin and it takes noticeably longer for it to reach the table, probably in hopes that you'll stuff your face with the cheaper meats before cutting into that $19.99 all you can eat price too much. But I, being a veteran of all you can eats, easily saw through this ruse and asked for lamb and more lamb. Don't bother with their alcoholic drinks as they are all watered down and terrible. It should be a 5/5, but why 4/5? For one thing service is pretty poor and chaotic at times. But service is always poor at the best Chinese restaurants. Another problem was the state of the bathroom. Jokes about the authenticity of the unsanitary bathroom aside, a nasty bathroom is a no go for me. I doubt even in China the bathroom would be that bad. Definitely worth going to, and remember, wear clothes you don't care too much about, because no matter what you eat in the hotpot, you will leave smelling strongly of lamb. I think this may be the most authentic Chinese restaurant in Plano. read more

I went here yesterday with a big group of friends. The girl that worked in front did not make us feel welcomed. I had to tell her couple times that we called ahead, she seemed lost. Maybe because she was watching the news about the upcoming storm. Who knows... The servers were really attentive and nice. Most of them kept on checking to see if we needed anything. The spicy soup base is wonderful! service here is actually pretty good for a Chinese restaurant. This place is amazing. It's all you can eat. What you do on a piece of paper is mark what raw ingredients you want, and how much of each. They bring out this hot steaming broth full of flavor. You can have spicy or regular broth. You add in the raw ingredients that cooks in the broth. I love the taste of thin sliced beef cooked in spicy broth. Come here and try it, it's a bit pricy, and you'll definitely be burping all day and fall into an msg food coma after, but your tastes buds will thank you. read more

I will say that I would have liked to try some of the things I saw going to other tables, but there was plenty to choose from really and the waiter was patient and helpful. Really torn on what to give this as a review so I decided on 4 stars. Food I would say 4.5/5. I'm spoiled with a lot of hot pot places in China but for around here this was pretty darn good. Lots of choices for meats, veggies, noodles, and sauces.. Broth had 2 choices I really enjoyed the non-spicy one..Would love if they had few more options in that department but no big deal. My favorite noodles were the fresh noodles and I really enjoyed the garlic beef. Service is awful though, really really awful. I have been twice and both times have been very satisfied with the food, however if you try to order an additional thing sometimes it just doesn't happen. The first time we wanted an extra plate of meatballs and it took them about 15 min to bring it(with a few reminders). The second time I visited, my mom in law ordered this meat pancake about 5 min after we placed our first order (we had forgotten to check the box with it), we asked 4 times for it over the course of our meal, it was on our check, but we never received it. Friday they were also out of several different things on the menu. My water was pretty much empty both times I went. They're pretty good about refilling your soup in the hot pot though. It's easier if you understand Chinese but if you don't it's not a huge deal there. The waiters know decent enough English to take care of most your needs :) On the plus side of the service, if you order a ton of things at your first round and maybe bug them for a water now and then you will probably not be as troubled by the service. In general, you don't really need service when you're doing hotpot, so despite that slight annoyance for me both times I'd still definitely go again. OH one other tip!! Both times I went I did NOT order the all you can eat for 23 dollars, and both times it turned out cheaper than If I had had. The single order of meat for about 7-8 dollars is a pretty huge plate. We got a few meats and several different veggies, noodles, etc. and it ended up being cheaper than all you can eat...so do a little math at the table to see the best deal if you only have a moderate appetite :) read more

A great all you can eat authentic Chinese hot pot! They offer spicy and a milder broth with plenty of meat, sauce and veggies. We were one of the few people in the restaurant, so I feel we got some extra attention and service. The atmosphere is very nice as well! It took me 20 minutes to make a reservation for my families last week. When we got there, we were told we had to finish our lunch before 2:30 because the kitchen was gonna be close by then, actually we only had 30 minutes to wrap up our lunch. It's fine we got that. But one thing pissed me off was the manager kept making some cold jokes with us and telling us how much time we left. Come on, man, can you just stay away from us and let us have a quiet lunch before that stupid deadline coming up please? Plus, we could not use coupons from the last purchasing. It was the most awful experience on hot pot ever! Food is Ok, but the manager is terrible. I am gonna tell all my friends not to be coming back again before that manager is gone. read more

I was so excited to discover an authentic Hot Pot restaurant literally in my back yard, but after reading previous reviews I was prepared for a challenging cross-cultural experience. Upon arrival I ordered a lychee martini, knowing that it would help keep my nerves from becoming frayed -- and it was just the first step in what turned out to be an exceptional evening. Contrary to other reports, the service was amazing and communication was clear and understandable. But the best part was the food -- the broth has an incredible depth of flavor and all of the sides (meat, fish, tofu and vegetables) were splendidly fresh. My only complaint? I only have one stomach -- the whole meal and experience was so enjoyable that I did not want it to end, but alas, after just over an hour of slowly swishing delectable morsels of food though the fragrantly rich broth I could not eat another bite. read more

I decided to tried the groupon offer on this hot pot location and now I know why it is on there..only way to drive sales and to trap customers. First of all..the service is slow, the waiter was rude, and they charge for condiments. Come on guys..y'all really gonna charge for condiments?!?!?! I had a party of 6.5..2 kids and a infant..the waiter came to ask how many ppl was eating today and I informed him that only the 4 adults was eating and he rolled his eyes. He had the balls to say..why y'all sitting at a table that has two hot pot stove..then I asked him which table around here had one hot pot stove that seat 6. When we finished marking our ticket for the items we wanted, it took him forever to even come by and grab our ticket and bring us our food. Even for refilling our drinks, we even had to wave him down. When we was finished, it took them 15minute to get our ticket and when looked at it, we have 5 charges on it that wasn't even ours. Once we pointed it out, it took another 15min for him to reprocess the ticket. Then to find out, he auto charged us for gratuity..the heck..how the deal does that happen for poor slow a$$ service. They just rewarded themselves for poor service. I will definitely won't be foil back to this place. Really..$22 for this place..much more better hot pot places for this price..plus they charge you for condiment..this place is just abusing ppl by trapping them with the groupon offers. read more
