This was one of the most dehumanizing experiences I've ever had at a business. I came into Happy Lemon ALHAMBRA needing to use the restroom urgently -- it was a real emergency -- and I told the manager I was planning to buy something right after. Instead of showing even the slightest bit of empathy or understanding, the manager flat-out refused and spoke to me in a rude, dismissive tone. Policies are one thing, but basic human decency is another. Denying someone a bathroom in an emergency -- especially when they're clearly about to be a paying customer -- is not just bad service, it's inhumane. I left feeling humiliated and shocked that someone in a customer-facing role could act like that. Rejoice we now have a Happy Lemon in Alhambra. I'll preface this by saying I rarely get tea since I'm a coffee fanatic, but I really enjoyed my drink, Black tea w/ salted cheese. That's probably because I'm a fan of the salty and sweet combo when they are balanced well. At first sip all I tasted was the (75%) sweetened black tea, but then I mixed the drink which brought the nice salt balance and a touch of creaminess. I could see myself drinking this again when I'm not having a coffee of course. The Original (bubble) Waffle was nice, warm and fresh. Little chew, little crisp and slight sweet. I enjoyed it with my drink very much. I only tried these two items from all the items in my pic so I'm only leaving remarks about them. They are located in what used to be Cafe D.er if you know the area, adjacent to Ipoh Kopitiam. There's a parking lot right in the back with even more (subterranean) parking so finding a spot is not a problem. The staff was very friendly and greeted right upon entering which is always nice. First time trying Happy Lemon and i opted for the Milk tea with puff cream. I'm happy the Cashier girl told me 50% sweetness because it was very sweet. I wish the drink didn't have so much cream and had more of a tea flavor. I mostly tasted cream instead of the milk tea. Parking is questionable because we parked in the parking lot behind it but it seems like thats only for the hospital. Luckily i went fairly late and there was lots of parking leaving me not to worry about taking up a spot for someone else. FYI the parking spots back there are very tight... I came down to visit this new location from the Bay Area. Probably the best managed, maintained, and consistent happy lemon location. Let me tell you that the Mango Matcha with Puff Cream is to die for. It has such a consistent flavor, not too sweet- but just exactly perfect. Not to mention the aesthetics of the drink itself! There is space inside to chill and catch up with friends, which i love because now instead of bringing home boba, I can come here, chit chat, enjoy the music, ambiance, and kind employees. Passed my coffee/milk tea quota this week already so when the staff recommended the honey lemon tea, I said sure! It was very good but I could only drink about half, the lemon taste was too strong on my taste buds for some reason. I added half a glass of water to it and drank it the next day... it was good. I placed an order for the Oreo waffle, Strawberry Shortcake Smoothie, Jasmine Green Tea, and Fresh Passionfruit Mango Green Tea. Happy Lemon Reward Points weren't mentioned by the cashier, so as I was looking around the store after I paid, I realized I had the app. I ask the cashier whether I may get the points using my app. She says you cannot receive the points after you have paid. Rather than refunding the transaction and billing me again, as I had assumed, she simply apologized that it was too late for me to receive the points and walk away. I'm really dissatisfied with this place because I paid $25.42 and lost all of the points. The drinks here are merely ok. For my kids and I, the Oreo waffle is the only thing we enjoy.
