Checked out this spot as it was one of the only places in New Flushing Mall that took Apple pay. Though the drink was expensive, it was actually pretty good. I chose to get the feature drink because the pics of it sold me and it looked pretty tasty. I don't know if I'd pay $8 again for it, but it was pretty good, and that cup was HUGE. I couldn't finish it so I had my boyfriend finish it for me.

Ube Bubble Milk tea with Puff Cream and Freshly squeezed honey lemon jasmine green tea

I got the ube milk tea with taro cream puff and honey lemon jasmine green tea. I really wanted to like the drinks, but I did not taste the ube in the milk tea at all (has almost a medicine aftertaste). I ended up throwing away the drink after a couple of sips. The honey lemon jasmine tea was better--it was refreshing, but maybe a tad too sweet for my liking. Also, I could not taste the jasmine green tea much (so it tasted more like honey and lemon water). The service was good. The price is also a bit on the higher end.

Try: Strawberry Jasmin Tea with Salted Cheese. Why: Refreshing! They used real strawberries and blended it in jasmine tea and topped it with salted cheese foam. The salted cheese actually complements the tea, it's not too salty but slightly sweet, and it adds a thicker texture when you drink it. Notes: Service could be better. There were only two people in front of me when I arrived at 1pm on a Sunday but both workers seemed rushed and did not smile at all.

Best tea I had in New York. This place is cash only. It's so delicious. Hard working staff. Thank you!

    Lemon yakult with aloe

Happy Lemon is located in the food court of Queens Crossing. The drinks cost a little bit more than I am used to but they offer some unique and interesting combinations. I tried the lemon yakult with aloe without realizing what yakult was (it's those small fermented milk drinks you find in Asian supermarkets). I found the drink very good and refreshing, however it was hard to get all aloe chunks due to similarly sized ice chunks. Everytime I tried to suck up aloe chunk I wound up with ice. It would be better if the ice chunks were larger or exclude it altogether.

With a little rearranging, this could be named after how delighted the owner is to have fired Melanie (Happy No Mel), or how I feel about large cantaloupes (Happy Melon), but instead we have this concept which - I assume - in East Asia is completely typical and ordinary. However in the USA, it's unique, original, and somewhat bizarre. Inside the NY Mall Food Court, which is on the North side of Roosevelt, one and a half blocks west of main. It's in the back, on the right. Other highlights of the court include Mango Mango Dessert. The concept of Happy Lemon is, well... sour lemony drinks and slushies of all sorts, which make you squint your eyes from the bitterness and break out in a big Happy Lemon smile from the hyper sugariness. I've tried at least 5 things off their menu and I still can't tell you what I like here. I certainly like to add different fruits to the lemon because otherwise it's more sour than the girl in the Stone Temple Pilots song with Sarah Michelle Gellar (the girl you downloaded pix of in your parent's cellar when you were a braindead AOL-er). The lemon mango drink and the originality just about edge this place over the line to 5/5, but it's close, and I'm a bit disappointed by the spit guard they wear sometimes because I enjoy (and dearly miss) the taste of employee spit which really adds texture. Be careful what you order. Some of these drinks are so sour, that when she drank them, Ronda Rousey changed her name to Ronda Sourey.

I came to try their salted cheese drinks since I was having dinner in the Queens Crossing mall anyways. A lot of people told me to come try their salted cheese drinks. I ordered the small salted cheese green tea drink. They had chocolate but I didn't think that would taste good. It surprisingly was not that salty and still a little sweet. I could still taste the green tea. There was a lot of cheese foam that remained in the cup that I didn't bother drinking at the end. I really liked the plastic cup it came in since the cup was pretty durable and not that flimsy. The staff were very nice and fast in preparing my order. I would come back here to try their other drinks if I'm ever in the area. The strawberry drinks look interesting.

Okay, I;m a picky person. This applies to food, movies, music, etc So yeah I'm hard to please even if others are like "IT's so good, it's amazing....blah blah blah " So!! In flushing there's a new food court. Of course, being a foodie and a curious person; I had to check it out. Once you step it , you'll think you're in new world mall. It looks super similar in every way. I was looking around and happy lemon caught my eyes since the BF wanted a drink. We were looking at the menu and I was iffy . Since it's Flushing and there's already so many bubble tea/ drink places. I right away assumed it'll be all powdered, sugary and a waste of money. The lady behind the counter called us over and we kept saying we're just looking. But she was nice and gave us a menu, saying to take it with us. She also told us that they are having a promotion!! (Don't you just love promotion??) That when you buy any drinks, you'll get a free bubble tea!! WHOA!! can you say crazy? 1) cause hello!!! a free drink?! 2) usually promotions around here are like 10-20 % or more percent off...you not getting anything else !! That's fine and good but....I want the additional item...hahaha XP so you'll get to try two things from the place rather than one!!! Anyways, I ordered the fresh lemon green tea (didn't realized it was one of their best sellers until my bf told me) AND LET ME FREAKING TELL YOU!!!! ............it was good!! It was super lemony!! in a good way. I don't like lemonade since usually there would be a lot of sugar and i mean ALOT of sugar. Here, it's more lemon and of course sugar but it's more acidic and sour (which i don't mind) Its so good , I actually want to come back and get the same drink...but with aloe this time!! Since i saw they offered aloe but it was too late!! T_T They also offer a lot of different jellies and ALOE!!! Okay, also the free drink....I thought it would be a crappy drink since they are giving it for free technically. WELL!, it isn't! Not one bit!! It's actually milk tea with bubbles but I'm not complaining. The bubbles are actually good as well. This coming from a girl that do not , i REPEAT do not like pearl/tapioca/ bubbles w/e you call it. At happy lemon, their bubbles are less starchy and more jelly like. Which was interesting. I give it a 5 star. I will come again!!! It's cute and different since everything here is lemon based. OH! but something interesting i saw that they had was cheese ? idk...what that means but anyways you go check it out yourself peepz!! Happy lemon!!!

Their signature fresh boba is what makes their bubble tea stand out from the rest--the "bubbles" are made from cassava starch otherwise known as tapioca pearls or balls--soaked then cooked and sweetened in a brown sugar syrup. Here they have a whole wok full of these, and they're super soft, incredibly chewy and bouncy, on the sweeter side compared to some other chains, but not too cloyingly so. Their menu consists of a number of a bubble tea and coffee drinks, mostly with milk though some without, you have an option of regular milk, lactaid milk (+$0.50) or oatmilk (+$1.00). Two sizes regular or large (+$2.00) and add-ins for +$0.50 more of the following: Brown Sugar Boba Strawberry Boba Taro Boba Honey Jelly Herbal Jelly Milk Foam Matcha Shot (+$1.00) I got their regular brown sugar boba and it was a treat! Like I mentioned above, the bubbles are sooo good! Prices are on the higher side $7.99 for a regular size, it made me really miss the days of $3.75 regular-sized drinks! After ordering it took about 7-8 minutes to be ready considering the store was really busy. Note: the brown sugar boba milk tea is where they line the cup with brown sugar syrup in addition to adding boba. Technically their standard boba milk tea is without the additional sugar syrup but since the boba are already cooked in brown sugar, there's no true option of getting unflavored boba without brown sugar. Like most boba stores in NYC, the shop isn't very big, just enough space for a small line to form for ordering and then waiting to pick up drinks. All customers are taking these to go, there's no room or seats to linger.

It leans more dessert than drink, with a really smooth mango flavor, creamy coconut, and those small sago pearls that give it a great texture without feeling too heavy. Everything I've had so far has been delicious, not too sweet, a generous portion, & actually never too long of a wait. Probably the longest was 15 minutes. All the teas in the area are $7.50 - 9 & very Jasmine green tea-focused, but I'm happy with HeyTea (M-lly Tea & Tea Sch-lar were fine. Maybe HeyTea markets their drinks better?) HeyTea drinks have good flavor, quality ingredients, and well-crafted & executed layers. Now I understand why they're so popular & glad I didn't come sooner because my habit would have been even worse. I've had these (less sweet, less ice): (all have a green tea base) - Jasmine Cloud King (the OG) - Jasmine Matcha Cloud King - Crisp Grape Boom (a bit slushy, bits of real red grape) - Mango Coconut Sago (perfect dessert, a traditional Cantonese soup dessert) Like the tiny sago boba instead of the regular size. Coconut square jellies too. No caffeine version available. - Blue Coconut Matcha Cloud Still have to try a Matcha one. The shop is a good size with a lot of waiting room. 1 table & a high counter at the front window. I've seen a small group of professionals either de-briefing or meeting over tea. But the space isn't really conducive for long-term use or work. The staff seem pretty relaxed, most are bilingual, & they seem like seasoned baristas. Proud of what they make. One suggestion /recommendation would be to move the TV screen with the order numbers to a more visible spot. It's currently against the right side wall with an overhang slightly blocking it. Maybe this angle disperses the crowd though?
