Their Strawberry Milk Tea 0% is soo good! It's not on the menu, I think it's a seasonal item. I hope they offer it permanently! It's with green tea, non-dairy creamer, Strawberry syrup & puree. 0% sweet was the perfect amount of sweetness from the syrup & puree - next time I'll ask if I can try with no syrup, since the puree is already sweet. It was so refreshing and delicious! It's hard to find a Strawberry milk tea that's not too creamy & heavy, & they do it perfectly :) I think it's also because their teas are good quality & brewed strong. Happy Lemon is probably the most consistent franchise with the best drinks! My only complaints for this location were the wait - probably took about 15-20 minutes - and then how little mango they put in the mango matcha. You can barely even see it in the photos lol read more

Came here for their grand opening. They have a B1G1 deal this weekend. So we ordered 2 Green Tea w/salted cheese and boba. The quality of the drink is on par with the other Happy Lemon chains (delicious). Their boba was soft and chewy, and the tea was refreshing. The line was surprisingly not that long for grand opening (which I am grateful for), probably because it is located in the Fashion Island Mall food court, so many people may not be aware and it's not that quick to get to if you wanted to swing by a boba shop. The line moved a little slow. I understand it's the first day, so they were getting familiar with the process and training. The staff was very friendly and apologized for the delay. I got a free tote bag for being one of the first 100 customers. I will definitely be coming back if we go shopping at Fashion Island. read more

Walked past when we were getting lunch and didn't realize this was the grand opening. We came back after eating and the line was very long. Still, they moved quickly, the staff was very friendly and helpful, and the drinks (Mango Lemon Slushy for my friend, Boba Milk Tea for me) were so good and flavorful! This place would have definitely gotten 5 stars but they forgot my boba . The food court is kinda interesting located downstairs and there's several restaurants. This one located next to Barnes and Nobles at the end of food court. We got a Mango Jasmine Green Tea they forgot my boba. I believe other drink was a coffee slushy with boba. Both were pretty good in taste. The original waffle was really yummy would go back just for that. If in the area definitely pay them a visit. read more

I love Happy Lemon and have been a customer for years at multiple locations all over. I have never had a bad experience until today. I placed an online order and came into the store (5 mins early) to pick it up just as they were finishing up my drinks. The worker handed me my bubble waffle and it was cold to the touch and hard. I've had 4-5 bubble waffles from this same location since they recently opened and none of them were like this. I asked him if the waffle had been sitting out because it was cold to the touch. He ignored my question and with attitude said he could reheat it. He then popped the old waffle back on the iron. Once it was heated (now even harder than before and the worst one I've had at this location), he proceeded to rudely tell me how they "never serve them warm" which is a flat out lie. If you want to sell me an old dusty waffle, fine, but don't gaslight me! As a newly opened store, this condescending attitude towards customers and the lack of concern for quality is not promising. Very disappointed in my experience today and it left a bad impression. read more

This Happy Lemon is in the food court next to the Barnes and Noble at the Fashion Island on the bottom level. I wanted to try out a standalone Happy Lemon, but long lines at grand openings discourage me so I came here during a different day. There was no line at the time even though it was a weekend. I just got a drink and paid with cash. There was still no line after I paid. The waiting area for the drinks is next to a fire exit which someone mistook for a restroom, but at least they didn't walk through it. I received the drink with no issues. It tasted more or less like what I expected it to, which was lemony, more or less. read more

Happy lemon is an objectively good boba place for some reliable boba, so it was my surprise to receive a subpar, and arguably bad, remake of my favorite drink, Mango matcha smoothie at the happy lemon in fashion island. It was not blended fully - I had chunks of ice in my smoothie. The cashier let me know that they ran out of boba and all of the other $0.75 toppings, which is fine, so I substituted my usual topping for crystal boba which is $1.00. It was so disappointing to find that the crystal boba was not fully cooked and was very hard to chew with a rubbery texture. Now, I know $1.00 is not a lot but for a drink that is already $7 I expect at least some quality boba. Normally, I would excuse this type of mishap, but I was the only one waiting for a drink with no one else in line. Maybe it was an off day for the workers, but I'm not too sure if I'll be coming back. read more

Picked up a lemon slushy after shopping at Barnes and Nobles with my daughter. Pretty tasty and not too sweet. The lychee jelly at the bottom was a nice touch. We were happy when we discovered this place. The first experience was great and drinks were awesome, and that's why we decided to return again and was hoping to make this place one of our weekly go to spots. Not sure if it was just bad luck, but our recent experience was not great. It started off with us being greeted with a not so motivated individual, then our drinks took way longer than expected even though there weren't really any parties ahead of us, and when we got home, we found out that our drinks were wrong and pretty much impossible to drink. The drinks had no flavor at all, completely opposite from our first experience. Needless to say, that destroyed our experience. Not sure if this is a training issue or just a lack of motivation from the individual, but they shouldn't have just that 1 employee there, there should also be a supervisor or manager present to QA/QC check. read more
