503 33rd Ave San Francisco, CA 94121 ( near Geary Blvd) Happy Yogurt is a full service frozen yogurt (fro-yo) place in San Francisco's Richmond District. I discovered this place thru Yelp, and I wanted to go check it out. I was there on a Sunday evening at 7pm. The front entrance was blocked off with a table. The fro-yo flavors were posted on the door, and pictures of the toppings were on the table. I asked the lady why they run the shop like this, and she said "Covid." Well, there's nothing wrong with being careful. The problem with fro-yo places is people come in and touch everything. Here, they serve it for you. June 2024: Price per ounce= 69 cts/oz Happy Yogurt serves your fro-yo and toppings for you, and then you pay by the ounce. I can guess you lose alot of business this way. Some fro-yo fans have alot of fun building their own fro-yo creations. I asked for Mango and Vanilla, 50/50 mix, half full, with Lychee Balls. My fro-yo was very good. Super icy and with a thick texture. Very slight chalky taste, and a little tart. The Mango flavor was good. The Vanilla was rich and creamy. Service/ Value: 69 cents/oz is cheap. I have reviewed 20+ fro-yo places around the SF Bay Area, and the current avg price is 70-79 cts/oz. Plus, it's full service. My half full cup was $8.14. I didn't ask about the tare (cup) weight deduction. Atmosphere/Parking: Decor is old and outdated. Can't go inside to look at toppings up close. Hard to find parking. I parked a block away at the high school. The curb in front is a bus stop. It's good frozen yogurt. I don't mind the full service style. If I'm in the area, I might come back.

Cute little yogurt shop with 4 dispensers. Today the flavors were tart, strawberry, cake batter, and salted caramel popcorn. It looks like a family owned business and the owner was very nice. It was quiet because it was a windy typical sf day. Toppings were plentiful, and they had fresh fruit even though that's pretty expensive these days. My favorite toppings were 7 kinds nuts, marshmallow sauce, and cheesecake. They had the usuals like almonds, popping boba and graham cracker crumbs. There aren't a lot of yogurt places near my place on 11th and this was worth the trek!

We got a flyer on our car for 10% off so I decided to try it. I got the original tart with logan, peach, lychee, kiwi, strawberry and fruit jelly on it. With the 10% off it was a little less than $3. Not a bad deal. The cashier was really nice and it's close to my house. I hope they'll get more fruit toppings, but I'll definitely swing by next time a fro yo cravings hits!

I always enjoy this place. I use to come here in middle school when their use to be many more workers.Nowadays when I stop by I only see one middle aged asian women working. She's very sweet and always smiling! :] The yogurt selection is small, but the topping selection is as large as any other yogurt house around SF. Personally the flavors I enjoy center around cake here: Red velvet Cheese cake Cake batter Since I live nearby, it's always a convenient stop for me when my sweet tooth kicks in. :]

Delicious frozen yogurt. I usually get the chocolate with almonds on top. The prices are also very fair.

oh bi-rite, you have my whole entire heart…read more this staple of an establishment very well may top the chain of sf ice cream. their rotating new flavors always are a hit, and the ones that stick around are flawless. there's almost nothing better than grabbing a couple scoops and walking right across the street to mission dolores park to watch the sun set over the skyline. the crème brûlée, roasted banana, and tiramisu in particular have nearly drove me bankrupt. not to mention the peanut butter and cookies and cream. it is practically impossible to not enjoy this place. everyone i've ever taken has left in awe, and i will never abandon my spot as a loyal patron. i love you bi-rite

Maybe my expectations were too high, but I wasn't particularly blown away by Bi-Rite. The service…read morewas okay, though I felt a bit rushed by the employee despite there being very few people in the shop when I visited. They allow you to sample up to three flavors, and I ended up choosing the black sesame and crème brûlée. Unfortunately, both flavors felt a bit muted to me. I was especially disappointed by the crème brûlée since my scoop had very few of the crunchy caramelized bits that make that flavor special. I was also expecting a richer, creamier ice cream given the reputation, but it tasted fairly standard to me. Of course, texture and richness are subjective, but overall it didn't quite live up to the hype.
