Nea is the best ever! So kind and helpful. She took her time to show me everything. How it works,…read morethe best way to load, unload, how to use the equipment, elevators, and everything. Nea walked me through the process and afterwards she gave me a tour and showed me the proper way to lock and unlock the right way with the special lock. If I could give Nea 10 stars I would. She was so wonderful. I will tell all my friends and family about A-1 Storage. Best price. Best security. Best people!!!

They threw away my stuff by "accident." AVOID…read more I rented a unit this past Monday, because I needed to start moving my stuff out of a very bad living situation. I brought all my most precious and important items there, first. It's now Saturday, and apparently, they accidentally had my unit still marked as vacant, and assumed the four boxes, five bins, and giant bag I just put in over the last few days, was all abandoned by a previous tenant, and they "discarded" it, to rent the unit to someone else. The only employee on site called the one who actually rented me the unit, who screwed up, named Nae. Nae said she was going to call the area manager, and call right back. We stood there for an hour. No callback - which is a huge middle finger to that employee who was onsite, too, leaving her in the crossfire with no answers. The area manager, Anjuli, finally emailed me after the facility was closed and I had already gone home, to tell me that my stuff was all gone, refusing to elaborate on how it was "discarded," and basically dismissing the issue to be dealt with on Monday. Avoid this place like the plague. And Anjuli - you need to make this right and give me every single detail of where my stuff went, NOW.

Huge move from San Jose, CA to Daytona Beach, Fl. Coast to coast…read more I feel I dodged a bullet with many moving brokers trying to secure a contract through a hard sell and promise of *literally* unbelievable rate quotes. Doing further research I found there's a common and growing scam to quote low, then hold your stuff hostage until you pay surprise extra and extreme charges. Anyway, I went with U-Pack after researching the various container drop-off and load options. Contract terms were straightforward and no surprises on drop off. Both the start and end, U-Pack and their shipment team were super easy going with the schedule. Just call a day before drop-off/pick-up and they were able to make it happen. I had 3 cubes and two went to destination and the 3rd was stored by U-pack for a bit while I secured a longer term storage unit, and they dropped it off there. Make no mistake, packing and loading the cubes is a huge freakin' task. Do it in layers with large flat items working as "walls" to help hold stuff in. And ratchet strap each layer. A special call out to JW, the forklift operator in San Jose! He was one with that machine and able to maneuver with extreme skill and precision, including a very narrow and long driveway with tight gate and cypress tree. He's a magic man and was able to place the cubes perfectly between sidewalk and street and back yard driveway - saving me $ and headache dealing with the San Jose tax assessor regarding a permit if cubes block street parking and/or sidewalk. Other thanks to Skee (Ski?) at the drop in Florida. Also skilled w/ the lift and super accommodating on placing the cubes where I wanted. Finally, Gerry (Jerry?) and Lorenzo at dispatch. You'll be given a pretty huge window (like the whole day) for drop-off/pickup, but I'd give a call and they'd be able to narrow that window to a couple hours.

I cannot say enough good things about West Coast Moving. This is the third time I've used them, and…read moreonce again they absolutely delivered. Every experience I've had with this company has been professional, efficient, and stress-free. I especially want to recognize Roger and Anthony. These two are absolute beasts. We had an extremely difficult move with multiple stops, heavy furniture, tight spaces, and a very long day. They never once sat down, took a break, or slowed their pace. They worked hard from the moment they arrived until the very last item was unloaded, all while staying positive, professional, and taking great care of our belongings. What impressed me most wasn't just how hard they worked--it was the pride they took in the job. They hustled all day without cutting corners, communicated well, and made what could have been an incredibly stressful move feel easy. If you're looking for movers, stop searching and book West Coast Moving. And if you're lucky enough to get Roger and Anthony, know you're getting two of the hardest-working movers I've ever had the pleasure of working with. Thank you again, Roger, Anthony, and the entire West Coast Moving team. You've earned a customer for life.

Both times they were remarkably punctual and professional, and all of our belongings and furniture were perfectly intact. Special recognition for Roberto and Jose, who handled everything with grace despite the Bay Area local help not showing up, and the new apartment being pretty much all stairs. When I was deciding on a moving pod service to use, I was initially hesitant to choose U-pack…read morebecause of overwhelmingly negative reviews I've seen on Trustpilot. Since U-Pack was the most economical choice out of other options I explored, I decided to take a chance. I'm happy to say I made the right choice. The process of setting up a time and place to drop off my container was very easy. The requirements for the drop-off were clearly explained. However, I wish it was possible to automatically receive a location-specific assessment of whether or not a parking permit for the container was needed and, if so, a link to the location's website for applying for a parking permit. Even better would be if U-Pack could, for a fee, apply for the permit on my behalf. On delivery day and pickup day, the driver who dropped off my container was very courteous. I was easily able to track the status of my container's delivery and arrange for a dropoff of the container at my new location. One suggestion I would have for the dropoff process is allowing for choosing a time for the truck to arrive. I had an incident with a neighbor at my new location where the truck carrying the container was blocking their driveway. He was worried about being able to leave for work on time, although the truck driver had quickly finished his business and left the neighborhood. I would like to be able to schedule the dropoff for after the neighbor had left for work to avoid incidents like this. Overall, I had a positive experience with U-Pack and would definitely consider them again for my next move in the future.

I moved from the west coast to Texas and went through so many options before deciding on U-pack…read more The whole process was easy. Customer service explained the process by phone and recommended I reserve 2 cubes if I wasn't sure if all of my items would fit into 1, and I ended up needing both cubes. They would not have charged me for the other cube had I ended up not needing it. I hired movers to pack and load the cube on-site at their location with ABF. There is a slight discount to load it on-site. I chose this route because of the discount, but with hiring movers to load them, I think the price would've come out even with having them drop off the cubes at my home and scheduling for pick up. I booked it a couple months in advance and the rates were about 1/3rd or sometimes more of the cost of long distance movers. It required a little bit of coordination overall, but it was worth it. I slowly took my time and drove over 5 days to get to Texas. U-Pack estimated 10-12 days for my stuff to arrive, but it ended up arriving in 5 days! So I was able to receive my belongings right when I had arrived! I must've gotten lucky since friends of mine said their movers took 2 weeks or a month for their stuff to arrive. I feel so blessed! The service was top notch with everyone I interacted with. I used 2 sets of locks, although I don't recommend using the brink lock that U-pack recommends on their website. Because Texas was icy when I arrived, the Brink keyholes had ice in them so I had to melt the ice with a lighter before the keys could fit in. My second lock was a Master Lock magnum lock and for whatever reason, no ice formed in those keyholes. I'd definitely use this service again and will recommend it to others if I need moving cubes.
