I am writing to express my disappointment regarding the treatment my group and I received during the World Cup watch party at Hard Rock Cafe Times Square. I made a reservation in advance specifically to attend this event and arrived approximately 20 minutes before my scheduled reservation time in order to check in and ensure a smooth entry. Despite arriving early and having a confirmed reservation, we were not allowed to enter the venue. Instead, we were instructed to wait outside. What made the situation even more frustrating was that we continued to be denied entry after our reservation time had already passed. In fact, more than 15 minutes had elapsed after the scheduled reservation time, and the game had already started, yet we were still left waiting outside with no reasonable explanation or accommodation. Additionally, we were not permitted to wait inside the lounge or bar area while awaiting entry. During this time, it was apparent that other guests, particularly Knicks fans, were being allowed to enter the venue, while Brazilian fans who had valid reservations were required to remain outside. This created the impression of unequal treatment and was both upsetting and disrespectful. The purpose of making a reservation is to secure timely access to an event. Arriving early, only to be left outside past the reservation time and after the event had already begun, completely defeats that purpose. The lack of communication, organization, and consideration shown toward guests with confirmed reservations was unacceptable. As a customer, I expected professionalism, respect, and fair treatment. Instead, I felt disregarded and mistreated despite following all procedures and arriving well before my scheduled reservation time. The entire experience was extremely disappointing and significantly impacted what should have been an enjoyable event. I hope this matter is taken seriously and that steps are implemented to ensure future guests are treated with the respect and professionalism they deserve. read more

I've been to this location twice, the first time I got a burger which was decent, but the second time I got macaroni and cheese which was awful. There was no consistency to the texture of the pasta, the cheese didn't have any flavor, and for some reason they decided to put little pieces of red pepper into the food. I ate very little of the food and went to a hot dog stand instead. The hot dog stand was better than the Hard Rock Cafe in every conceivable way. Nyi at the bar is by far one of the best bartenders for customer engagement in all of NYC. He took phenomenal care of us. He was constantly working even when it was slower but also made us feel like we were his only customers. Would recommend (dinner). Came by for a sit-down dinner after a long day at Times Square and the Hudson Yards shopping center. I recommend putting reservation on OpenTable so you won't wait that long. We had a party of 9 and was sat pretty quickly. As we were inside, the interior of the general dining area was pretty spacious/big. Our server, Eva, was very attentive and enthusiastic, especially with a big party like ours so if you ever get the chance to sit with her, I think you will have a good experience. Had an Ultimate Long Island Iced Tea as my drink, it was alright, as good as expected from a Long Island. For entree, I ordered the Spicy Diablo Burger, and from my judgement, it was a decent burger. Can't complain about the taste at all, it is a small step up from other American restaurant chains like Chili's, Applebee's. I would give it a 7.8/10 overall for my meal. Other people at my table ordered the mac & cheese, chicken wings, ultimate nachos, flatbread, etc and they said they would give a collective rating of 7.5 out of 10. For where it is located in Times Square, this is a good place for if you need to stop and have a quick sit down family dinner after a long day of walking, something that isn't too over the top & upscale but with decently priced food as well. The next time I come back to NYC, I would try another spot for dinner but that is just because the city has a lot of different tastes to explore. There was a 20 minute wait to be seated. The upstairs area where the merchandise was pretty nice and they had nice picks. The thing is when we were seated our waitress Bri was very nice , but during our time there when we would need her she wouldn't be anywhere to be found. Came ti NY around Christmas time knew it would be hard to find a quick place to eat. Walked into the place and only took about 30 minutes. The hostesses were great. It was running smooth from check in to get to getting seated. GABY our waitress was wonderful. Steak was cold. Not lukewarm, but cold. The avocado slices were brown to the point that I was surprised that they'd even put them on the plate. My wife got a smash burger that she didn't even finish because she said it was "meh" Both of my sons said they didn't care for their food either. Went to the Theater World Awards held at the Hard Rock Cafe. The staff were very helpful and considerate. I was with two other women, both of whom had mobility issues. We were escorted to the elevator both coming in and leaving. We arrived early and the staff informed us of the timing fire entering the event. We sat in the bar while waiting. One lady had a Diet Coke and ice cream, I had the cucumber tomato side salad and the seasoned fries, the other lady had the Cobb salad. Everything was delicious. We ate here while on a band trip. The food was ok, but it took a long time for us to get our drinks and food. I understand there were over 100 of us, but our table got drinks after tables finished their meals. Our meals were finally served, but the orders were wrong, and we were very limited on time. Everyone at our table that that had changes, just rolled with what was served because it took so long. We weren't asked if we wanted refills, napkins or anything. We had to ask for these items. We didn't see our server but once the whole time, and another was helping them out. We enjoyed Nachos with Chicken and Guacamole that were tasty and more than enough for a party of two. Karl mixed us up some great cocktails as well. It's a huge facility and so much Rock N Roll History! The giant electric guitar suspended from the ceiling electrifies the room! And the wall of guitars are just a couple of my favorites on display, so much to see! We spent over $300 during our visit, yet we were treated with a complete lack of professionalism, disrespect, and outright discrimination by the restaurant management.On the day of our visit, we arrived two hours before a Brazilian soccer game specifically to eat and watch the match. We were seated at a table and ordered our meal. However, before we could even finish eating, the staff demanded that my family and I leave the area because the space was being cleared for a private New York Knicks basketball game event.When I requested that the staff simply relocate us to another table so we could finish our meal and watch our game, they refused. They told us we had to leave the restaurant entirely completely ignoring the fact that we were already paying, seated customers in the middle of eating.The manager on duty was incredibly impolite and refused to offer any assistance. It was only after I explicitly stated that I would be filing a formal complaint that his attitude shifted slightly, though his behavior remained entirely unacceptable. He finally offered us a table, but with the hostile condition that the restaurant would refuse to provide any service to that table. He told us that if we wanted anything else, we would have to get it from somewhere else ourselves. To make matters worse, after we sat down, the manager still attempted to remove us from that table two more times to give it to other customers.This treatment was a total disrespect and felt deeply discriminatory. Other clients were granted the right to sit and enjoy their evening, while my family was actively pushed out, harassed, and denied basic restaurant service. We were willing and able to spend more money, but your manager's refusal to serve us made that impossible.As a paying customer, I expect a basic level of respect and hospitality, none of which was provided by your management team at the Times Square location. I've always walked right by this place assuming it's a tourist trap given the gift shop at the entry, the location, and the other cities I've seen this chain in. But I finally figured I'd never eat here while vacation so I might as well give it a try here at home -- and I was pleasantly surprised! The restaurant itself is actually downstairs and huge by NYC standards, almost making me forget I was right by Times Square. The walls are decorated with memorabilia and music plays in the background -- not quiet, but enough so that you can have a conversation without struggling. The only downside to this underground location is the lack of cell signal. There were signs posted saying Wi-Fi was available, but I didn't find a password anywhere (probably just need to ask, I didn't bother). Maybe that's a plus for you if you want to keep the phones away from the table haha. As for the menu, there are a variety of burgers, sandwiches, and other standard items you would expect. I had the surf and turf burger so I could give their supposedly-famous burgers and shrimp both a try. The result was delicious. The shrimp are nice and crispy, although a tad too sweet in my opinion. The burger was cooked nicely and tasted great -- not lifechanging but yummy enough. The fries on the side were also surprisingly good, being above average in texture and taste. Overall I came in with low expectations and had them greatly exceeded. Would I come here again? Probably not given all the other food to try in NYC -- but I wouldn't object if a visiting friend picked it out. read more

Tried to make a reservation but all was full, so we tried to walk in and put ourselves on the waitlist- and the time was much less than we were quoted! We went to report to the hostess station when we were called and there wasn't much direction of where to go, so we got in the long line up to the hostess station. We were sat quickly once we got through the line desk. Once sat, our server walked by our table like 3-4 times before he actually said hello and took our drink order. Once we finally had his attention, he was great! He went above and beyond for us! Everything we ordered was really good! The southwest chicken bowl was huge, but tasty! I couldn't finish it (and not because I didn't want to)! Loud music, but no bands or anything g special during dinner. We had no intention of going here, but as we were walking past it we popped in to get a pin for my collection. Jeremy has also recently started his own collection because he was so envious of mine. It's a large gift shop with a small selection of pins. I got one that said "happy birthday" which was fitting because we were in NYC to celebrate a friend's upcoming 27th birthday. The restaurant is massive. Melanie was our server and she was very nice and helpful. I had the BBQ BC Burger, my wife had the Messi Chicken Sandwich, my son had the Big Cheese Burger and my daughter had the Kid Chicken Tenders. We were in New York for my daughter's birthday, Presidentts Weekend. After a long travel day, thought we'd grab a quick drink and bit to eat. It was Valentine's Day, so it was packed but there were 2 spots at the bar. Charlie was so fun, attentive, creative, we felt like rock stars. It was such a great first night in NY, that we came back the next night. We work in the music industry, so we love the atmosphere, but Charlie made the whole night, even celebrating my daughter's bday with a loud shout out and ice cream from the manager.
