The food is fairly priced considering the location. It is the cafeteria/restaurant for the Hilton Garden Inn. It doesn't have the best ambience but it is good enough for a well priced lunch or dinner when you are around. The menu offered is not super unique. However, the portions are pretty big, which I liked. Service was fine as well, though I wished they checked in for water more often.

My family and I ate at Paul's on Times Square several times while in Manhattan. We stayed at the Hilton Garden Inn Times Square Central which is connected to this restaurant through the main lobby. Breakfast was included in our stay, so we ate breakfast routinely at Paul's. I loved the ambiance. The service was impeccable. Loved having some OJ and Coffee every day at the start of the day. The breakfast was buffet style. Not a lot of choices, but it was good. The food, though, was a bit slow. I think they need more cooks for the breakfast buffet, because the one guy was working hard to keep the food coming... just the demand was too much! Heck i had to wait to finish my meal to be able to get some bacon one day. All in all, I enjoyed having breakfast here. They need to staff up, though.

My group had talked to the manager and made a reservation for 15+ people, but when we arrived the wait staff were completely unaware of the reservation. We ended up having to wait over an hour to be seated. The wait staff were incredibly gracious and took really good care of us as the whole night. The restaurant gave us all 2 free drinks and several 20% off coupons to make up for the wait. The food seems to be pretty good. I'm vegan so my options were very limited, but I understand I'm not really the target demographic. They said the arugula salad could be made vegan, and ended up giving me a plate of arugula with absolutely no toppings. The entree was better- they modified the spaghetti with marinara and added vegetables. Heads up- the portion sizes are really really big. Overall, despite the accident with the reservation, our group had a great dinner.

I thought I had already left a review for Paul's, since we've been here about a dozen times over the last four months. Had I written it a couple of months ago, it would have been a four or five star review. BUT, alas ... what seemed like a sweet romance seemed to fade fast. Yesterday though was the LAST time coming back here, despite living just blocks away. I don't know what's happened to Paul's of recent times. It was once our go to place for a guaranteed good meal and lovely time. Last night we went to Paul's because we (had been) huge fans and regular diners there. We've probably been a dozen times in the last few months. Two of our best friends were in town and we were excited to take them there before catching a show.   But it was one of the worst NYC dining experiences we had, not just from the food, but the service, everything. A couple of times the chef came out to cater to the whims of the table behind us that everyone seemed to desperately trying to please. They were tripping over themselves for the four people at the table behind us and completely forgetting there was a dining room of other guests who also came here for a good meal and a good time. Sadly, I think few did. We certainly didn't.   Doing that dog and pony show -- with the chef coming out with a fish on a platter and all -- at the sacrifice of us, including ignoring us, serving food late and incorrectly and completely acting as if no one else was eating there was inexcusable.   At one point our server came to our table to let me know they were out of the ceviche, which was fine. But she was so focused on whoever the people were behind us that even my literally waving my hands in the air to tell her what I wanted to have instead (shrimp cocktail) failed to get her attention. It wasn't only her, there were several staff that were standing next to our table and completely oblivious, looking above us and around us. One of our dinner guests had to get up and wave in front of her to finally get her to look. And then it took 15 - 20 minutes to get a SHRIMP COCKTAIL, on the heels of our meal coming out. Adding insult to injury, our server than added 20% to a four top, knowing she had pretty much been MIA despite walking by us. But to not tell us, when it's not customary of Paul's to do that is bad restaurant etiquette 101. And then to not only do it deceitfully but to LIE and say it's customary when NEVER on any of our last 12 visits (I have the receipts) had any gratuity been added. We would have left 25-30% as we often do, even last night. That alone is shady and reason enough never to return.    I hope all of that was worth losing a valuable and loyal (and regular) patron. This was one of the WORST dining experiences we've had as of late and it was worse since we were entertaining two of our best friends who were visiting and we had raved about this place. NEVER AGAIN. EVER. Bye, Felicia!

(Dined 11/24/2022 TH @ 12:00pm & 11/25/2022 FR @ 10:00pm): Personally, I didn't meet any Pauls while hanging out in Times Square! After watching the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade in person, a friend and I planned to hit up Paul's On Times Square located in the hotel we were staying at. I made a point to try any restaurant located on the premises of any hotel I stayed at even though I knew the prices would be distinctly higher. The next evening, we stopped by with friends to cap a long eventful day. How did Paul do with this eatery!? PURCHASE Manhattan Henge ($17.00): Makers Mark, triple sec, orange juice, pineapple juice, and grenadine, this was an odd cocktail that was more a tequila sunrise and overly sweet and not in any way a Manhattan at all https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?select=2IlC7Cjkg5_V0GzN7o9c_A&userid=8jVT2inwc8GIQ6sH2UG9Vw. 2008 Chianti Classico Red Wine Glass ($17.00 x2): Oaky, bold dark berries, and drying - a good hearty wine https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?select=ykd8NayK8Nk3_5w9LTeHkQ&userid=8jVT2inwc8GIQ6sH2UG9Vw. 6pc Bruschetta Milano ($14.00): Toasted baguette slices with goat cheese topped with diced tomatoes, red onion, and balsamic, these simple tiny snacks were a nice starter https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?select=vD461gv-TcfjIa558cAXyg&userid=8jVT2inwc8GIQ6sH2UG9Vw. Fried Calamari ($21.00): Fried calamari rings served with homemade marinara sauce & chipotle mayo, these perfectly-sized rings had a nice slight crunchy coating and minimal chewiness https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?select=ZmAKZBT7W4D4nOxEEaC9jQ&userid=8jVT2inwc8GIQ6sH2UG9Vw. 6pc Shrimp Cocktail ($21.00): Unimaginative and disappointing especially for the price https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?select=z7am-XTAGQvw6AP_UBu1ug&userid=8jVT2inwc8GIQ6sH2UG9Vw. Prosciutto Pizza ($23.00): A ton of prosciutto and arugula lazily placed on top, it still was a fine pie https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?select=GX2NO-Pjlqo-UmzDG9B1Hw&userid=8jVT2inwc8GIQ6sH2UG9Vw. SERVICE First visit, we easily sat at the bar and received quick service throughout. Second visit, our party was given a table and received our respective orders in around ten minutes. Both instances, the service was immediate and straightforward - thank you! PARKING (Varied; N/A this instance) Since I was staying at the Hilton Garden Inn New York/Times Square Central, we simply walked. Otherwise, the hotel offered onsite parking, a ton of nearby subway stations, or the use of ride-sharing options - 'nuff said. ATMOSPHERE, DÉCOR, AMBIENCE A sleek modern eatery with a small bar on the left, a quaint outdoor patio dining area, and a decent-sized indoor dining room area filled with dark cherry wood tables. Minimal natural lighting came through the patio and bar windows while frosted electric ceiling lights filled in the rest. There was one TV at the bar but couldn't recall any background music. https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?select=L5iZnCsYjekFJfK99qoNfQ&userid=8jVT2inwc8GIQ6sH2UG9Vw ATTIRE At this time of year, I was wrapped up in a beanie, thermals, goose down jacket, jeans, and clunky winter boots. Otherwise, this place was totally casual but maybe dressier in the evening. OVERALL Paul's On Times Square had its charm, and I fulfilled my hotel stay directive of onsite eateries, but frankly the prices were prohibitive and was put off by the random "service charges'' during each visit ($25.20 & $24.00). Additionally, the cocktails and several of the dishes missed the mark. However, the pizzas, service, and the fact they had happy hour were positives. The food menu was varied enough, but it wasn't as elegant as I expected based on its location and the hotel brand it partnered with. I found good value based on the prices, service, and experience noted above (TOTAL paid experience was around $260.00 BEFORE any discounts and/or tip). And, they accepted my credit card of choice... We wanted to grab dinner before going out to see our broadway show. We decided to check out this restaurant since it was in the hotel were were staying at. We arrived and go to choose where we wanted to sit. There weren't too many people so we had good choice in seating. Soon as we were seated, I used Yelp to check-in and to my surprise received an offer for 5% the meal. May not seem like a lot, but it was a welcomed surprise. Service was wonderful. Our waiter and other staff were super friendly and came to check on us often. We pulled up the menus using the QR code and we were presented with tablet to view the cocktail menu. The cocktails were yummy and mixed just right. The food was very good. My fiancé ordered the grilled salmon with asparagus and roasted potatoes and I ordered the linguini bolognese. When they brought out our food, they also brought out complimentary bread. It was a nice addition to the meal. Prices are what you can expect for a meal in NY near Times Square. Overall, it was a pleasant experience. Would definitely dine here again.

From the moment we arrived, the friendly hostess greeted us with a smile. The restaurant has a chic and inviting ambiance. We started with a drink at the bar before moving on to dinner. For our appetizer, we had the antipasto salad, a tasty mix of fresh veggies, cured meats, and cheeses. I chose the lasagna for the main course, and my wife had the salmon. Both dishes were delicious and perfectly cooked. Paul's is on the fourth floor of the Hilton Garden Inn, so it might be a bit tricky to find, but it's worth it. The restaurant feels like a hidden gem away from the busy Times Square. The staff at Paul's provided excellent service, always making sure we had what we needed. Overall, our experience at Paul's on Times Square was fantastic. The food was great, the atmosphere was elegant, and the service was outstanding. We'll definitely be back next time we're in New York City!

Located on the lobby level of the Hilton Garden Inn. Service and people are good. Food is okay but nothing to write home about. Reasonably good place to unwind with a drink before heading up to your room.

We were looking for a pre-theater spot in Midtown, and found this spot. It is located inside Hilton Garden Inn. You had to go down the hall to the elevator, and go up to "Paul's on Time Square". The inside was not as big as I expected it to be, but nice and cozy. It is kind of a mix of casual and semi-formal from the look of it. Their complimentary bread were sooo good, it disappeared within seconds! We asked for more, and they brought out twice as much for us. Yum! We ordered Calamari Fritti to share. Since one of us is not a fan of anything spicy, they also gave us regular marinara sauce too, thanks! They were plump and huge portion! We all enjoyed them! For main, we had Branzino Di Chile Piccata, Salmone Alla Cartoccio, and Capellini Ai Frutti Di Mare. Branzino was cooked perfectly, Salmon was packed with flavor, but it could've come with a bit more veggies... Seafood Pasta was a nice big portion, with a generous amount of seafood. Filling and satisfying. Since we all enjoyed our meal, we decided to get one dessert to share. We ordered Tartufo to share among the four of us. It was a big hit at the table, everyone enjoyed it! We had a nice dinner here. It was relaxing, never rushed yet everything came out in a timely manner. We had plenty of time to get to our Broadway show. The servers were really friendly and polite, we were very well taken care of. I say it is a bit on pricey side, but it is in midtown...

The menu has plenty of variety across pastas, seafood, and cocktails, with some unique dishes that made the experience memorable. The drinks were a highlight, and the seafood options stood out the most for me. My Tipsy Tayke: The Fragola Fizz was juicy, fruity, and refreshing. The Forever Summer was another standout, with the smokiness of the mezcal blending really well with the fruit flavors without overpowering them. Both are easy recommendations depending on whether you want something fruity or a little more complex. My Taysty Tayke: Get Down & Dirty, Expeditiously: Seafood Ravioli Unique, flavorful, and packed with different seafood flavors. The ravioli itself was delicate and had a tendency to fall apart, but the flavor made up for it. Standout: Calamari Crispy, seasoned, and enjoyable. It had a slightly chewy texture, but I still found myself going back for more. The Carpaccio wasn't necessarily for me texture-wise, but I really enjoyed the greens and dressing that accompanied it. The garnish felt intentional and helped bring the dish together. The Pappardelle came with plenty of sauce but could have used more flavor overall. The complimentary bread was also tougher and chewier than I prefer. Desserts: The Lemon Sorbet was easily my favorite dessert. Bright, refreshing, and packed with real lemon flavor. The Mango Sorbet was another refreshing option with a smooth tropical sweetness. The Panna Cotta Cheesecake leaned closer to a mousse in texture and was definitely on the sweeter side. I especially enjoyed it with the cherry, which helped balance everything out. Service: Warm and attentive throughout the meal, fitting the inviting atmosphere. Plates From My Visit: Calamari Carpaccio Seafood Ravioli Pappardelle Lemon Sorbet Mango Sorbet Panna Cotta Cheesecake Fragola Fizz Forever Summer In Conclusion: A warm Chelsea Italian spot with strong cocktails, unique seafood dishes, and refreshing desserts. The Seafood Ravioli was the highlight of the savory side, but whatever you do, save room for that Lemon Sorbet. Stamped by Elajas

When we entered the restaurant and took the elevator up to the restaurant, we were delighted to find free wine provided for us to pour in the elevator. Admittedly, it was red wine, so not my favorite, and it did taste cheap, but still appreciated. To start off, we ordered the onion torta, focaccia, and smashed potatoes. The onion torta was surprisingly good and tasted like a form of french onion soup. As a focaccia enthusiast, the focaccia was fluffy and delicious. We also got the charred beans, carrots, ravioli, tagliatelle, ravioli, and trout to share. The charred beans were surprisingly the long beans and not the smaller ones we expected. However, they were very juicy and better than we thought they would be. The rigatoni resembled cacio e pepe with its pepperiness, the tagliatelle tasted like standard red sauce, but i did enjoy the ravioli and the ricotta inside. For dessert, we had the basque cheesecake which was alright, but I'm not the biggest fan of cheesecake. Overall, we had a great time at Ci Siamo and I would definitely recommend ordering the focaccia and onion torta and we could have skipped the carrots, beans, trout, and tagliatelle.

Reviews were promising so I was excited to try the food. I ordered the fusilli pesto pasta with a side of the garlic broccoli rabe. My pasta dish came with a small burrata on top. Instinctively I took a piece of that in to my mouth first and was met with the most rancid tasting cheese ever. The cheese was definitely not fresh and had a terrible smell on the outside. I moved this to the side to try the pasta which was honestly forgettable. There simply was not enough basil pesto in the dish, the sauce fell flat on taste and seasoning was nearly absent. The side of broccoli rabe was also so bad and forgettable. The stems were tough to chew, there was no salt and not a single speck of garlic in this dish. This is one of the priciest, grossest plates of pasta and vegetables I have ever had in the city. My friend ordered the eggs Florentine and said it was A-okay. Service was good and food came out on time but honestly I would not dine here again. They really need to step up their food quality if they want to continue doing business in the city.

The food though...was alright, Their fresh made bread with olive oil was delicious and a nice starter. The calamari was lackluster and lowkey tasted frozen vs home made. The meatballs for $18 was insane because the meatballs were literally bite sized! When it came out we were actually shocked. The pastas were tasty and flavorful though! We do wish it came with protein for the price, but it was still solid.

Are you going to the Joyce for a wonderful evening of dance ?…read more Do you prefer a location close by ? Is inexpensive Italian food a preferred choice ? If you answered "yes" to all three, then Fumo is a place to seriously consider. The restaurant is bright and comfortable. The service is fast and attentive. The menu has lots of excellent choices. The portions are generous. The prices are very reasonable. There you go ! Fumo is for you, (at least the Chelsea location) is for you. Any drawbacks ? youi ask.....well, yes, there is one, and it should be cosnidered. The restaurant is so so so popular that the noise level can be a bit ..... shall we say "daunting." Fumo is a great place but if you want a soft, quiet place to have a serious conversation, maybe save it for another time....

This means those dishes aren't truly gluten free for people with celiac disease or anyone who has to avoid gluten. When I pointed that out to my server, he just gave me a blank stare. I tried to explain why labeling those items as gluten free is misleading, but he seemed completely disinterested, even annoyed, dismissed what I was saying, and simply responded that the pasta is gluten free. I acknowledged that the server doesn't write the menu, but absolutely zero customer service skills. The service overall was lacking. Aside from taking our order, no one checked on us or came back to see if we needed anything. Our server was just hanging out chatting up the hostess. We had to request the bill from the manager & paid at the hostess stand. Before paying, I spoke with the manager and explained what had occured. He was more professional than the server, but he was still dismissive of my concerns and of the service we received. Management seemed happy enough to promote the "option". The food was okay, definitely not enough to make up for the poor service and handling of a serious dietary issue. Needless to say I will not be returning.

The interior was completely packed, and the noise level was high enough for my smart watch to complain. To sample a bit of everything, we shared two orders of focaccia, four pastas, and one dessert. HOUSE-MADE FOCACCIA - 10 Super bouncy with a bit of chew, this was probably the best focaccia I've ever eaten. It came generously drizzled with olive oil and alongside chopped peppers drenched in even more olive oil, which added a nice little kick. We highly recommend starting with this. TAGLIATELLE - 27 Out of the four pastas, this was my absolute favorite. I love the thin yet chewy texture of the tagliatelle, and the bolognese sauce was rich and hearty. Finished with just the right amount of Parmigiano, both the pasta texture and sauce were sheer perfection. PICI 'CACIO E PEPE' - 23 This was such a simple pasta, yet so delicious. It was incredibly creamy and cheesy, with hints of fresh black pepper flavor that blew standard at-home black pepper grinders out of the water. Despite it being the simplest pasta of the night, I enjoyed it immensely. RIGATONI - 32 This pasta was simple yet slightly innovative, featuring sausage paired with a broccoli-based pesto. There was a slight bitterness that was polarizing among our group. While this wasn't my favorite pasta, I appreciated the creativity. PERCIATELLI NERO - 35 This dish packed in more components than just pasta and sauce: plenty of crab, tomatoes, and crispy breadcrumbs on top. However, the combination wasn't very memorable. None of the flavors really stood out, and it was my least favorite pasta of the night. OLIVE OIL CAKE - 14 Served with a pile of golden raisins and fancy whipped cream, this ended up being a bit of a miss. The raisins were a bit too sweet, and the cake's texture was uneven -- some bites were soft and moist, while others felt dry. A couple of others in my group also felt the same way. Overall, I'd give L'Artusi a 4.5/5; it was mostly hits with a couple of misses. The pasta portions are quite small. Since each dish is primarily carbs and sauce, I'd imagine you'll likely need an appetizer or a pasta and a half to leave full. Still, I'd definitely come back for the focaccia, tagliatelle, and the cacio e pepe.

Instead of simply confirming it, she made a comment like "you should know if you've been here before," which was unnecessary and pretty rude for such a basic question. It wasn't a busy‑restaurant kind of tone--it was just attitude. Not exactly the first impression you expect from a place that tries to present itself as polished. A quick, polite confirmation would've gone a long way, but instead it felt dismissive and unwelcoming. For a restaurant with their reputation, having someone speak to guests like that over a simple call really doesn't help the image.
