What a cute cafe!! Upon arrival, my boyfriend and I saw there was a line out the door, which made sense for a newer cafe on a Saturday at around 11:30am. The line went by relatively quick and we found a table very easily. The layout is cool! I didn't get the sit on the top floor this time but I'll be back. We ordered two lattes, salmon toast and a breakfast sandwich. The food came out in about 5ish mins - fast! Prices for the drinks and food were average San Francisco prices, but the portions were surprising. The sandwich was very hefty and filling. Both dishes came with a spring salad on the side. Love how spacious and thematically decorated this new coffee shop is! I happened to pass by during their soft opening and couldn't help but stop for a coffee break. I ordered a hot latte since it was a bit chilly. The coffee came out quite quickly! The coffee flavor was not particularly interesting to me and a darker roast than I enjoy, but I at least appreciated that it was not sour. If you enjoy dark roast coffee, I think you'll like it more than I did. Friendly service, ample seating, a section for merch and other goods to buy, and a flower shop in the back! read more

Don't waste your time here. Rude employees and not welcoming. First of all, I just got to the coffee shop, trying to settle down. This employee, who is a bit older, white male and wears glasses, comes to me and tells me I can't sit here unless I order and tells me the seatings are for paying customers only! I was planning to stay until closing and told him I was going to order in a bit but damn, ruined my vibe. And secondly, the power outlets here suck! I kept trying to find an outlet to charge my laptop but they don't work! So frustrating. Never coming back. read more

My first time here and I had the absolute worst experience. As I walked in with my family, my husband and my 6 children, the ambiance felt not inviting at all. Maybe because we are Mexican and it is in a more prominently white neighborhood. But being the person I am I tried to ignore the feeling. The guy taking the orders was very friendly and inviting to the person that was before me. But as I walked up now that it was my turn, I said "Good morning" and the guy stood there quite, no Hi can I take your order No good morning no nothing. I said it again Good morning! great quality coffee and a great place to work! i've really enjoyed reading and overlooking the cafe. overall, the coffee was well crafted, but unfortunately i did not enjoy the food as much. the salad was larger than the sandwich and the sandwich was bland. nevertheless, i did enjoy the raspberry pastry which was filled with jam and encased in a soft croissant. i will certainly be back to enjoy a sweet treat and coffee moment! read more

Beautiful new space, tons of seating and fast WiFi, a seemingly great addition to the neighborhood. My two issues: Vegan options are as usual pretty sparse--won't hold that against them--but one of the designated (v) options [OG Yogurt Parfait] looks like it's probably got dairy, and the other looks fine but is boring. Then, Hardware Salad looks like it might be vegan, but I assume it's not since there's no (v)--but the labeling of the yogurt has me second guessing the accuracy here. My bigger issue is the maybe owner/manager? Sam. I was sitting solo at a double table when he came up and asked if I was alone and if he could separate the table. I said sure take it, thinking he was a customer. He tried to strike up convo--explaining that the tables are usually separated and something else--but I was admittedly having a stressful day and was locked in on an assignment I was working on, so I just gave him a few sures. I sense he didn't like that. He stuck his hand out at me for a handshake introducing himself (by name, not his connection to the business) forcing more interaction after he could tell was being brief w who I thought was a customer wanting a table. I shook it and gave him a smile since he wanted to force the issue and introduced myself in turn. He thanked me for coming and started walking away, but held his gaze on me for an uncomfortably long time with a completely deadpan face like he was trying to intimidate me. I'm sure this sounds like small potatoes over text but anyone w an understanding of interpersonal communication would understand. I didn't like it and as a Black and brown man in SF I have complicated feelings about interactions like this with white people. I acknowledge I was short, but I wasn't rude. I get the sense he was excited during this very busy, opening weekend, but seeming upset because a customer isn't matching your energy or engaging enthusiastically felt unprofessional. It's one of those rare cafes where everything simply feels right. I really hope the owners continue enforcing the 90-minute laptop policy. Both times I visited, all 20+ tables were occupied, and nearly every table except two had someone working on a laptop, and some without any food or drinks left. Meanwhile, people kept coming in looking for a table and asking cashiers for help, and the staff was clearly put in a difficult position. Buying a drink doesn't entitle anyone to stay indefinitely. Went here for the first time and very impressed with the service, drinks and food. The staff is super friendly and welcoming even during such a busy time and explained the options for the coffee orders. The food was so filling as we ordered the avocado toast and breakfast sandwich. The avocado toast was very generous with the avocado which has not been common in most cafes I've been to. It was paired well with the lemon ricotta. The breakfast sandwich had such a yummy poached egg with the bacon. We got to sit upstairs and watch the the hustle and bustle of the cafe. The chocolate pastry here was good, the sandwich was ok. I've been here twice, because this is a good location to hang out with friends. However, everytime I am here, I usually come without having eaten prior, and gobble down my food in like 5 minutes. Then I like to start doing some work. And both times I was here, staff tried to kick me out or told me to buy more after only being there for 30 minutes. I understand they want to kick people out so other people can come sit but I also feel like they're picking and choosing who to kick out based on who they like. I guess I could have just gone and and nursed the same drink for 2 hours but that's not really my style. And I love that they have a flower shop in back with the most beautiful flowers Unfortunately, it is very difficult to find a table as it appears to be an office for many of the patrons. I suggest this business either have a designated area upstairs for them. Or have designated hours for people to work at their laptops downstairs. A bit of a PSA this is NOT a cafe to do work in. According to the owner it's a "restaurant". They have a strict 90 minute laptop policy and strictly enforce no outside food allowed. I did not know this (because it's not advertised at the front) and got rudely told by the owner the above just for eating my own snack with my drink I bought from there. I take responsibility for not knowing the rules of the business but this could've been better communicated with signage at the front or told to me at the register. The owners attitude made me feel like I was a loser who was using them. Frankly I do not understand why you would put in all the effort to look like a cafe with a bunch of power plugs just to say you're not a cafe you're a restaurant lol safe to say I won't be returning because there's so many other "cafes" in the area to go to that don't kick you out like that. read more

Their matcha latte is so expensive! 8, and if you want it sweetened, they have options for syrups that can be up to $1 extra. I got the lavender syrup, so my drink was a total of 9 dollars and it just tasted like dirty flower water! No matcha taste at all. Soooo disappointing. My friend hated his drink as well.
