Looking for some after dinner drinks and entertainment in Scottsdale, we ended up in what I would say is the entertainment district of Old Town Scottsdale. We turned the corner and saw all these neon lights, strobe lights and music blasting all down the street at various clubs down Saddlebag Trail. Every major city has streets like this, but this street was super clean and all the clubs looked inviting. I am way past my clubbing days, but we were out there a little on the early side and it didn't look to crazy yet. Riot House was our first stop simply because it did not look too crowded and the music sounded good from the outside. How did I know this? Most of the establishments had an open air concept where their outer window walls can raise like a garage. I could've probably just stood on the street and had a good time too. We got patted down and entered this really nice looking club. We did a little walk through and found some seats at the bar. The bartenders were scantily clad and were definitely earning their tips with the hungry fellas all around. It took awhile to get some service and just as long for them to make our drinks. We went with margaritas which were overpriced but expected in Scottsdale. They were ok, nothing to write home about. At some point it started getting packed and all of a sudden they were taking all the seats around the bar out. That was a little tacky and helped in our decision to wrap it up and find somewhere more our speed. The DJ was playing some pretty good music and the crowd was hype for sure. It was cool to experience Scottsdale's club scene, but for me it's just not my thing anymore. Put me in a nice cocktail lounge or bar and I will be happy. Probably wouldn't come back here. read more

I usually don't care to give bad reviews no matter the experience, but this place deserves to be shut down. If you are a POC or here for a bachelorette party, avoid this place AT ALL COSTS. They will scam you, bring you unwanted champagne bottles (my friends have NEVER and would NEVER order champagne) and charge you $2k for them. They'll also forge your signature and lie saying you authorized it. They also kicked us out at 11:30pm, and immediately replaced our table with a group of white girls (our ubers didn't even arrive to pick us up yet so we watched it happen). Please read the reviews for this place, I'm not lying. It looks like they have scammed and forged signatures multiple times. The whole entity of Scottsdale, Arizona must be corrupt because they're able to get away with this so many times. I'm not sure how they're not shut down yet, but probably because they prey on drunk, vulnerable people - especially people coming here for bachelorette/ bachelor parties. My experience at Riot House in Scottsdale, Arizona was an absolute nightmare. The staff was incredibly rude and unprofessional, making me feel unwelcome the entire time. Not only were they dismissive, but I also witnessed racist behavior that was just shocking. It's 2026--there's no place for this kind of discrimination anywhere, especially in a business that's supposed to cater to all customers. To top it off, I was wrongfully charged for things I didn't order, and when I tried to resolve the issue, they completely ignored my concerns and made no effort to issue a refund. The charges were fraudulent, and they refused to take any responsibility for their mistakes. As if that wasn't bad enough, I was kicked out for being "too drunk" while sitting at a booth. I wasn't even close to causing a disturbance, but I was treated with no respect and thrown out like I didn't matter. The whole experience was embarrassing and humiliating. Bottom line: Riot House is a place that lacks both customer service and basic decency. They treat people poorly, engage in fraudulent billing practices, and clearly have no respect for their patrons. Racist. They forged signatures in MULTIPLE transaction. 1.8k+ of FRAUDULENT CHARGES. When you talk to the manager, HE KNOWS that they're scamming people and will not show you your signed receipts. We had to SNATCH that out of the managers hands, and he was gripping it so tight. Charges on receipt do not match up and they will gladly tip themselves over 750 dollars for doing nothing. Approached by a promoter in old town for a table for our group of 9 as we were on a bachelorette. The streets were full on promoters offering tables and a bottle to groups of girls. We had to wait in line a bit and were taken to a table, given a bottle of vodka (not too sure what it was), and mixers. The servers came around to fill our cups with ice and pour drinks. Security intervened against me, despite the issue being caused by staff. It wasn't until the owner was brought in that the situation was acknowledged and an apology was offered. The experience highlighted a familiar and uncomfortable power dynamic: staff behavior being excused while a Black woman asserting a basic boundary is framed as the problem. The large in stature security guard with the shoulder length light brown curly hair was aggressive and not appreciated. I quite literally never leave bad reviews but the unprofessional and nasty way this club handled this situation was horrible. My friend is and has been in the United States for over 10 years and is here on asylum. He has a government ID to prove he is supposed to be in this country legally and they still denied him because he "wasn't a citizen". The club right next door and across the street and down the road accepted him but the one club wanted to exclude him. This business has disgusting morals. We got offered a booth with bottle service upon walking in, and were told to just have fun which we truly did! The music was excellent, the booth was large and plentiful for our group, and the space per person was comfortable versus other bars where it was shoulder to shoulder. The only complaint was we only saw our waitress/bottle service bartender twice and after waiting 15 minutes to close out/tip, nothing! We had been there nearly two hours! We got our drinks at the bar since she never came around so we waiting so long and she never came (even with asking other staff). The drinks were also WAYYYY overly priced. We are talking $20 for less than one shot of fire ball. It was absurd! And the bar tender ladies working didn't even give you the time of day as if they're better than others (no thanks). Overall, I think we enjoyed our time with free bottle service, a booth, and friends. Drinks were entirely overpriced so pregame if you come or plan in advance! The absolute WORST experience at this club. I got a table for my bachelorette weekend which was supposed to be a booth. When we checked in they told me that they overbooked for the night and ended up giving me this terrible makeshift table literally in the entry walkway of the club. They pretty much gave us a foldable table...service was absolutely horrendous. They didn't even give us limes or lemon slices for drink. Only soda water and cranberry juice and NO ice. This is by far the WORST clubbing experience we've ever had we have been clubbing a LOT in AZ, Vegas, etc. Absolutely unacceptable. We were all very visibly upset by how this went down, and their way of "making things right" was to give us a complimentary bottle of champagne that I could get for $5 at the grocery store. Not once during this interaction did a manager come over to speak with us about the situation. The entire night, random people left their empty cups on our table, surrounded our table, and leaned on it. Probably because it was literally in a main entranceway. We will never be back here and I would not recommend this bar to anyone. Located in a great area, this bar has a catchy name. The music is fun and the open-air feel is great. Lots to watch out on the street as well. But the service is underwhelming and the drinks are terrible, especially for the price. I don't think our bartender had ever heard of Bombay Sapphire gin. What do you write about Riot House? Doesn't the name say it all? Usually packed, Riot House is a typical sports bar/nightclub in the Old Town Scottsdale entertainment district. Probably overshadowed by El Hefe next door (which often shares the same employees as they operate under an umbrella). Riot House still has a distinct vibe. I was interested that it describes itself as a South Beach vibe. Perhaps this comes across in the food menu but I don't find it elsewhere. The vibe isn't particularly sunny. Riot House is a good place to bump into strangers celebrating a good time. From ASU students making the trek from Tempe to a misguided Bachelorette party, someone will probably treat you to a (expertly mixed) shot here. BEWARE OF BOTTLE SERVERS!! Planned my husbands 40th birthday celebration here on a Sunday since he wanted to go out dancing. The promoter that reached out to me was Dennis and was very helpful to start, sent me bottle service menus/pricing and helped set us up in a great location, we rented out the largest DJ booth to hold 15 of our closest friends. He told me there was a 3,000 minimum for that table, I knew we would meet the minimum easily with drinking Clasa Azul reposado tequila. We ordered a total of three bottles of Clasa Azul @ 1200 each, 1 bottle of Belvedere Magnum @ 800 & a Veuve Cliquote champagne toast, never told pricing on it. Most everyone drank the tequila, we didn't even put a dent in the Belvedere. The bottle service girls kept pouring our tequila into shot glasses and we never asked for it to be poured this way. Was super annoying. It's a sipping tequila! Reason why we went through 3 bottles I'm sure. We having a great time, up until we were asked to move booths because a pro-athlete came in and wanted to use our booth. I told them that we did not want to move and they insisted we move over and would give us a free bottle of champagne for the inconvenience. We were forced into it, which I thought was completely unacceptable. The night carried on and we looked past it, danced, had the champagne toast, enjoyed ourselves. Because they moved us we went through numerous bottle service girls. We ended up with a giant bottle of champagne that no one ordered when there was only a handful of us left. I asked Dennis why they brought that out and told him we didn't order it. He assured me he would take care of it. When it came time to close out, one of my husband's business partners offered to pay for one of the bottles of tequila. Not only did they take my husbands card and charge it multiple times, he never signed for any of the charges. I asked our server to bring us the check and they refused to give us an itemized receipt. He never signed a single copy!! Next day we had 5 pending charges that went through totaling close to 13,000 dollars! No way we even got near that! It's laughable that they think they're getting away with fraud like this and taking advantage of people. We're taking this company to small claims court, if I don't get this resolved in the next few days! DO NOT PLAN YOUR NEXT EVENT HERE, THEY WILL STEAL FROM YOU!! read more
