We found it inviting and welcoming for tourist. The vibe was lively w/o the rowdiness; a sports bar/live music / play cornhole out on the patio kind of wonderful. We ordered the "Cam Bam" and Hangover Burgers, Steak Calzone, Margherita Pizza and Apple and Peach Cobblers for dessert (highly recommended) and were not disappointed in the least. Went to dinner with a couple of friends at 6:30pm on a Thursday night. There was a band playing when we walked in. We were seated about 5 tables from the dance floor which I quickly realized was not far enough away from the music. While the band was fantastic it was so loud that we had to screen at each other just to have a conversation. I don't know why the music had to be so loud as nobody was on the dance floor but next time if I am there to talk with friends and not necessarily listen to the music I will be sure to request a table further away from the music. While our server was very friendly, throughout the evening we had to hunt down our server and ask for whatever we needed whether it be to order, missing ordered items, or more drinks. I did notice that he was also serving tables on the patio but the restaurant had a lot of empty tables so it is hard to say if he was being too thin. I definitely didn't ever see him standing around. He seemed to always be bustling and hustling but nevertheless we still had to wait and it really extended our meal quite a long time. I ordered the smoked ribs but without the sauce but I avoid sugar most of the time and the ribs were really tasty. Definitely a menu item I would order again. All in all not the best experience but I will definitely give Harold's another chance and will make a different choice on the seating if there is live music. read more

Harold's: From Heavenly Wings to Hell in a Handbasket There was a time -- a glorious, finger-lickin', napkin-destroying time -- when Harold's was the crown jewel of my lunch hour. For eight solid years, Harold's was the place my taste buds wrote love letters about: crispy, juicy chicken wings and service so good you'd think they were gunning for sainthood. But yesterday? Yesterday was the funeral for all those beautiful memories. I rolled into Harold's with my girlfriend and business partner, ready to unleash a chicken wing demolition derby on our plates. We ordered our beloved spicy wings, stomachs growling like we hadn't seen food since the Great Depression. And what did we get? Chicken wings that looked like they had survived the Dust Bowl. Dry. Brown. Flavorless. These wings weren't spicy -- they were in witness protection. They were so bad we genuinely considered filing a missing persons report for the taste. Normally, my buddy and I would inhale one plate and order another faster than you can say "extra ranch." This time? We couldn't even finish one sad, dusty platter. But wait, it gets better! The only thing drier than the wings was the attitude of the young brunette manning the outdoor bar. I came for wings, not to be scolded like a delinquent teenager just for trying to order a beer while standing -- at a bar, of all places. Last I checked, standing and drinking is half the reason bars even exist. Turns out, my friend broke the tragic news: Harold's got sold about a month ago. Well, that explains it. Harold's went from "Best Wings in Town" to "Please Don't Make Me Eat Another Bite" faster than you can say "under new management." It's like buying a Ferrari, but when you get behind the wheel, it drives like a rusted shopping cart with a flat tire. Sadly, Harold's is off the roster. We have been coming to Harrold's Corral for 11 years. Their food has always been good. Sadly on Saturday 10/4/2025 there was a problem. We have ordered Chicken Wings on several occasions and they have been great. Unfortunately on Saturday 10/4/2025 there was a problem. The chicken wings had broken and slivered pieces of bone in them. This is very dangerous. It is either your kitchen staff or your supplier and I suggest you address both before you serve chicken wings again. read more

I would like to preface this with the fact that I was on my way there to meet friends but my uber broke down about a mile away. Because of the inconsistent service, my phone battery was drained trying to order another uber. The driver was not allowed to order me a ride, and he said it would be some time before someone would come to assist. It was cold and started to rain, so the only option I had was to walk. I arrived at Harold's and tried to get the bartender's attention. The place was packed with very young people partying it up ( not a bother to me). The bartender was talking to a male about her age seemingly in an intimate fashion, with me not being able to get her attention. She finally came over and I asked her if she had a phone charger, quickly telling her my situation and that I was disabled... I could not walk back. She said "no". I offered $20, and she said no. I asked her if she could call me a can, she said "no". Not sure if she made eye contact. I noticed she had no problem talking to the young adults that were doing shots and obviously had been drinking. I was stuck and in pain, and she dismissed me. I sat there trying to figure out my situation, then she sent the male she was talking to earlier over to me to tell me "we can't serve you". What??!! Was it because I wasn't a young partier? Was it because I noticed most of the customers there were blondes... was it because I was brown? Regardless, I ended up walking all the way back to my hotel because of the rude manner in which she interacted with me. I've always loved cave creek, but this place put a bad taste in my mouth. One of THE places in Cave Creek. We have Pittsburgh friends that are there on most weekends for Steeler games, and I know Harold's treats them well. We met with a group of friends and kids for Friday dinner and dancing. The apps and food were great. The all you can eat fish and chips special was cooked well, and the pretzel app was a hit with everyone. The big open back patio was perfect for the kids... giving plenty of freedom to move... and it let the parents enjoy the night as well. Once the band started, we were all entertained watching the experienced dancers. Our little girls loved dancing along as we moms begged our young boys to dance with us... since the dads were all glued to watching sports on the tvs above the bar. $20 for a prime rib, baked potato and house salad is a pretty great deal, but you can see how much fat wasn't trimmed off, and the potato was self-loading which meant the cup of shredded cheese was cold straight from the fridge instead of melted over. I did enjoy the live music and back patio, although the side patio right up on the bar was pretty (cigarette) smokey. Harold's felt like a place for regulars since the bartenders seemed to know most of the customers by name, and more often than not, I heard a parting "see you tomorrow" as some of them finished their beers and left. We went to Harold's yesterday for the first time. Traveling for an hour we got there just after 4:00 pm. We were seated immediately in a large room which had a bar to the back area. Another bar was to your left as you walked in. Our waiter came to take our drink order which was brought right away. He brought our salad and soup which was very good. The waiter took my empty salad plate and he noticed I had left my fork on the plate, I had not noticed, but he did and brought me a clean fork. He works the tables very well with no stress. The prime rib was wonderful with the creamy horseradish. This place is nicely laid back and can handle large groups of people. We will certainly be back and possibly bring others with us.
