Harry Browne's Crab Dip, Calamari, The Ensign pizza, The Walk On pizza, The Firsty pizza

Harry Browne's upstairs is one of my favorite little nooks. We went for a work happy hour and had a lovely time. I love the pizza, and the espresso martinis are to die for. They have a good wine selection and the staff is so lovely and accommodating. Never a bad time :)

We were drawn in by the white table cloths and seeming elegance. Unfortunately, the food did not meet our expectations. The oysters were so heavily breaded I wasn't able to taste them. The "grits" were saucy and heavy with butter with 3 shrimp floating on top As for the ambiance, it was incredibly noisy. The one saving grace was our wonderful waiter Alec who doubled as host.

Crab Cake Entrée...on the small side but very good!

4 stars... Visiting a Brother at the Naval Academy and this joint was within walking distance, and a reservation assured we had a front row seat! Good wine selection, but they were out of my first choice(mid price) but recommended another of the varietal(high price)..we accepted and was a good one, though nearly double the price! Ordered the crab cakes and while the composition and abundance of crab was first rate, the size was on the small side. Served with hush puppies and asparagus, both good! Finished the night with a chocolate layer cake...mouse and cake and fudge frosting...great! Ambiance is old world bistro, service was wonderful and prompt, and prices were slightly above expectation. I'll have fond memories of this dinner because of the company joining me, but if I'm in the area I'll pop back for an encore...this joint makes the list!

We were hoping to really like this spot. We've passed it a lot and finally stopped. The cool thing was a mimosa comes with your brunch. The food was ok. The service and the crab toast was great. Everything else needs a bit... more. Got a Bloody Mary and it was kinda gross. Price: reasonable Parking: street Service: great

Australian rack of lamb. A perfect Manhattan.

Harry Brown's is classy and laid back. We've been here several times on personal days celebrating events and loved it. But I was a little apprehensive because tonight was Valentine's Day and the kitchen would likely be fully challenged. I shouldn't have worried. Our server was attentive and helpful, the room was full of people but it wasn't loud or hectic and my cocktail was perfect. The entrees are all accompanied by a starch and vegetable. I ordered a rack of lamb that was seasoned beautifully and augmented by the au gratin potatoes and roasted Brussel sprouts. I'm anticipating the leftover lamb tomorrow. Hours later, I am still enjoying the memory of the tastes of my meal. This restaurant is classy without pompousness making the splurge a joy.

Hotel is modern, luxurious looking. .75 miles to downtown, waterfront Annapolis. 2 hours, 15 minutes to Ocean City, MD. Room: Spacious with a little couch. Refrigerator and coffeemaker with Starbucks coffee filter packs. Microwave near the ice machine. Luxurious White tea smelling bath products which reminded me of the Bulgari bath products we used to get in Celebrity suites. I took the soap which lasted me a week and still looks good - non-drying. One bottle of complementary water. Amenities: - Indoor pool and hot tub (felt hot). Nice gym - Stunning circular bar and fireplace. Drinks were pricy. - Shuttle to downtown can be picked up outside the hotel and to the right. Runs every 20 minutes on the hour. - Restaurants on-site but we went across the street to Carpaccio Tuscan Kitchen & Wine Bar which was fantastic - make reservations. Things to Note: - City garage for parking and you will need to pay by scanning the QR code with your phone to start the timer for your car (remember your license number). It took several tries to connect to the website and get it to work. When you leave, you just drive out and it recognizes your car. - Our room had a connecting door. I forgot our server's name, but she provided wonderful service. She let us know that the kitchen was busy, but our food would be out as soon as possible. We started with the calamari and cream of crab soup. The calamari was the best I've ever had. The cream of crab soup was good, but it had a bit too much sherry. I got the crab cake and my husband got the halibut. Everything was so good. The only reason we would hesitate to return is the parking situation.

It took a while for our server to greet us even though he appeared to only take orders, deliver drinks, and deliver the check while food delivery were handled by a dedicated food runner. Our starter, the crab avocado stack was beautifully plated. The sweet remoulade overpowered the naturally sweet blue crab and the crispy wontons were tasty but were very oily. The beet salad had an excessive amount of raw white onions on top, but the mixed greens and beets tasted fresh. The middle of the flatbread was undercooked which was more soggy than crisp with what tasted like an unseasoned can red sauce. The Mahi Mahi Rachel was unique spin on a standard Rachel sandwich. The blackened Mahi was just okay and oddly enough, the mouth feel of the Mahi was indiscernible from the slaw. I was a bit taken back that the slaw on the Mahi Mahi Rachel contained golden raisins and what looked like cranberries - neither of which were called out on the menu. The tomato and cucumber salad side lacked seasoning despite what appeared to be flakes of "Italian seasoning".

Unfortunately, my most recent visit was a pretty big disappointment. From what I understand, they recently let go of their head chef and are currently running things with sous chefs, and based on this experience... it shows. On Saturday, I ordered the oyster BLT. I was told ahead of time it came with four oysters, which is fine -- if those oysters actually feel like the main event. On a sourdough sandwich, you expect something substantial -- big, meaty oysters that can hold their own. Instead, what showed up were four tiny oysters that were basically lost in the sandwich. I'm not exaggerating when I say you had to go searching for them. And for $28? That's where it really lost me. I have no problem paying Annapolis prices when the food backs it up, but this felt completely out of sync. The portion, the quality, the overall execution -- none of it justified the price. It honestly felt like something that should have been half the cost... at best. Beyond that, the sandwich just felt underwhelming overall. Nothing about it stood out, nothing felt intentional, and it definitely didn't live up to what this place used to deliver. It's frustrating because this used to be a spot I'd recommend without hesitation. Right now, though, it feels like they're charging premium prices while the kitchen is still trying to figure itself out. I really hope they get things back on track, because Annapolis needs places like this to be good. But as it stands, I'd think twice before ordering anything from their specials.
