Delicious and high quality matcha and coffee! Good variety of flavors too. Their pastries are so yummy and I would def try out their lemon bar- it was amazing! The staff is so sweet and helpful. There's not much seating but the inside of the shop is decorated very cute and is always super clean and aesthetic! There isn't many other good coffee shops in this area so I would definitely try them out!

First time here and it was a nice, easy stop. I tried the black sesame oat latte and the biscotti latte. Both were good, just nothing that really stood out just yet. Service was really good. The place inside is cute with a clean, minimal vibe. There are small white tables lined along the wall with a bench and stools and some simple decor and artwork that gives it a cozy feel. It's not very big, but there were still plenty of open tables which was nice. Everything was clean and parking was easy since it's in a shopping center. I'm looking forward to trying more next time. Deff a decent spot if you're in the area and want something simple and low key.

One of my favorite coffee shops. The interior is small with only a few tables but what they serve is superb. I visited on a weekday afternoon and ordered a Biscoff latte and a lemon bar. I sat at the one available table and savored both items. The Biscoff latte was iced, with just enough ice to make it cold. I appreciate that they didn't overdo the ice like most coffee places. The flavor of cookie butter was vivid, sweet, and delicious. The cream top and crumbles of Biscoff added to the visual appeal. The lemon bar was slightly sweet and citrusy, with a tasty thin outer crust, the top of which was sprinkled with powdered sugar. For me, this was a perfect lemon bar in every way. If I lived anywhere near here, this would be a regular stop.

Drinks we ordered were iced flat white and sesame latte. I liked the sesame latte because it wasn't too sweet at all snd their sesame cold foam was good. Coffee roast they use was good also. My husband liked his flat white. The store was very cute and cozy. Staff was ok, they didn't really acknowledge us until the barista nudged the cashier person to take our order. Idk what it is about customer service from these new cafes in the area lately.... They're not that friendly. This lady before us ordered a drink hot but they made it iced. She was really nice about it when letting the worker know but the owner (I'm pretty sure she was the owner) said something in Korean to the worker loudly and sounded upset about it. I found that a bit rude to speak your own language in front of a customer in the middle of an issue. It was pretty obvious she was upset at the customer. I'm not sure I'd be back... but their sesame latte was pretty good, so maybe.

#181 in my Coffeeshop Chronicles. Haru is a small coffeeshop that recently opened in Buena Park. Their specialized menu consists of several unique and creative drinks, so it took me a moment to narrow down my choices. I ultimately went with their Black sesame latte and Green grape ade. The black sesame latte is one of their more popular drinks with it's rich, roasted, and slightly sweet flavor profile. I loved how creamy the nutty drink was after mixing. Nevertheless, as impressive as the latte was, the real winner for me was the green grape ade. The drink was a refreshing bubbly drink, both crisp and sweet. I also enjoyed the pastries I purchased, especially the Lotus marshmallow cookie. All in all, Haru was a fantastic find! ****************** My Ratings: 1 Star: Terrible; just thinking about it makes me angry. 2 Stars: Wasn't a fan so Not likely to return. 3 Stars: Meh. Average. Might return if others drag me. 4 Stars: Yum! Likely to return. 5 Stars: Amazing! Would plan my day around it.

My mango matcha drink was good but the girl working did not ask me for sweetness level, I forgot to say anything so I guess I GOT 100% And it literally tasted like 10000% sugar lmao I LIKE SWEET BUT IT WAS WAY TOO MUCH. STILL, I Appreciate the taste and the potency ! Next time I'll for sure ask for 25% here. (If possible) I like the decor, modern style Cafe vibe . Very clean and there was a photo station too! the mallow cookie was 8/10 !!! Really fresh and tasty, with good slightly chewy texture, tender marshmallow, Their baked goods honestly all looked great! Very cute modern cafe! Biscoff Latte- Good. The sweetness is adjustable, so you can keep that coffee kick if you prefer things a bit more bitter Black Sesame Oat Latte- Nutty and creamy yet still has the coffee flavor Strawberry Matcha Latte- light matcha flavor, but delicious when mixed with the strawberry Lemon Bar: yum Pretzel Croissant Sandwich: Ours came out a little too toasted (extra crispy!), but the flavor was still good The staff were very friendly and helpful, making the whole experience pleasant. Definitely returning to try other drinks when in the area!

I'm so glad I discovered Cafe Haru recently. Parking is easy and the inside spanking clean and beautifully decorated. I had my drink orders placed online ahead of time and it was available upon arrival. I loved every sip of what I had ordered!!! The Biscoff latte and the caramel milk tea were delicious and refreshing. Both items weren't too sweet, and I didn't feel like all I had was 5 sips and rest of it ice. Phew! So many artisanal coffee shop type places do that nowadays so it was nice to see they have ice level as an option. I'm looking forward to returning again in the future!

We stopped by for some drinks and dessert the other day. There is a lot of parking available in the shopping center they are located in. The café itself is small and charming. We got a few drinks. The black sesame oat latte was rich and dark. The apple peach ice tea was cool and refreshing. The apple and peach notes in the back of the tea were just right. Subtlety sweet and perfect for sipping. The green grape sparkingling ade was bubbly, sweet and refreshing. I couldn't stop drinking it. They also have a good assortment of pastries. We got a pecan bar that was delicious. The bar is full of pecans and it is not very sweet. Just perfect. We also got a strawberry and cream croissant. The strawberries and cream are subtlety sweet. The croissant itself is light, flakey and buttery. So good. Plus, the staff is super friendly and helpful.

I wouldn't have known this coffee joint without Bonnie S. , special thanks! It's such a hidden gem, cute shop located in the same plaza as Northgate Market. Enjoyed the black sesame oat milk latte so much, I almost wanted a second. Usually the black sesame flavor would be super strong where you are unable to taste the coffee, but this was very well balanced. The coffee was there and so was the black sesame. I'm usually a oat milk type of gal, and they were on the spot for me. Service - Very friendly staff. Explains each drink to you as you order. Food - Didn't get to try the pastries, but they do have a few to grab a bite. Seats - There are a few seats inside to sit and study. There is free wifi and outlets for laptops if needed.

The drinks were pretty sweet but it didn't detract from the flavor. There's minimal seating at the cafe (pretty small location), but I went when it wasn't busy so it was easy to find a seat.

I love their Biscoff Latte, and I didn't have to just the sweetness level because it's just right! Came here on a weekday around lunch hours and the place is packed, but there was no wait so my drink came out pretty fast and it was only one person working as well. Stopped by during their grand opening and was pleasantly surprised. The black sesame latte was amazing--super flavorful, nutty, and well-balanced. Easy 5/5. I also tried the blueberry matcha, which was decent (3.5/5), but the blueberry flavor was a bit overpowering for my taste. I'd definitely come back to try more of their matcha drinks. read more

A very long overdue review... Finally gave this place a shot on a free day I had aka day after New Year's Good music playing is always a plus for. It felt cozy inside too. Barista gave some recommendations since it was my first time there. I was content with the Einspanner. It was simple, but fulfilling. my friend and i wanted to try a new coffee place that also had milk tea options for my niece, and haru checked all the boxes! we both got the biscoff latte, and i thought that the cream paired well with the coffee and had a good added texture from the biscoff crumbs. the latte was good and not too sweet, but the coffee flavor isn't super strong if you prefer that more. my niece's milk tea was a pretty good standard milk tea, but we both wished that they had brown sugar boba instead of crystal boba because i think it would have been a lot better. the workers were very nice, efficient, and patient answering my questions about the menu. i think my only negative opinion about haru is the location because it seems out of place in the current plaza. i think the cafe is very nice and deserves more traction! read more

Really glad to see this cafe is back! I was a huge fan before, especially since this is my favorite local place for a black sesame latte. I visited the Sunday of the grand opening weekend, and at 8:30am there wasn't a wait. Ordering was very easy and the service was friendly. I got the black sesame latte (which was delicious as always and not too sweet) and a matcha einspanner for my friend. The interior is very well lit by the natural lighting and there's a good amount of seating. Already looking forward to my next visit! read more

had to check out this new cafe in Buena Park! first off, the interior was very cute! there were a few tables but we weren't lucky enough to get one. the menu has a variety of teas and matcha drinks. it was a bit hard to decide, but I settled on the mango matcha latte. the drink was a bit sweet but the mango and matcha flavors paired nicely! I also tried the ube matcha latte, and wow! the ube flavor was very prominent! I really liked this drink and would get it again for sure. we also got the matcha einspanner which had a delicious cream on top, and the regular matcha latte which was very solid. read more

Haru coffee is a new coffee shop that (according to their very nice cashier) soft launched about a month ago and had their grand opening only recently! Upon first impression, Haru coffee is a cute and modest coffee shop with very adorable, yet tasteful interior design. They have a limited selection of drinks, which I always personally find to be a strength. They also have a cute selection of pastries that you can choose from as well :) My boyfriend got their Biscoff latte and I got their Einspanner latte. We got a chocolate croissant and a Biscoff financier to share. The total for the 4 items came out to be about $21.30. It's pretty standard price for new-age coffee shops, I would say :) The staff was really sweet, I look forward to making this one of my regular stops! read more

Visited this cute cafe today and I had a great experience! I didn't catch the employees name but he was very kind! My mom tried the ube matcha and I got the matcha einspanner, both were really tasty. Found this place randomly browing Yelp. I've been hoping for more boba spots in this area so I'm glad they're here. Their grand opening is November 15th so follow their instagram @haru_buenapark for more information. I got the house milk tea with boba at 75% sweet and a sparkling strawberry ade. I was a big fan of the strawberry ade, it had the perfect hint of sweetness, tartness, and bubbliness. The house milk tea was good, I could probably do 50% next time. The boba was a bit hard but still doable for me. The staff were so kind and friendly. The cashier did tell me after giving me my drinks she could adjust the sweetness for me if I wanted it and even asked if the boba was okay. I did inform her it's a little hard and she apologized (she really didn't need to!) and informed her coworker. Haru is simply but nicely decorated, the drinks were good, and the staff are super nice. I hope their grand opening goes well and I look forward to coming back! read more

Happy Grand Opening to Haru Cafe! Was busy today 11/15/25 for the BOGO offer that was offered today. Nice cool space. Limited seats. They have financiers which is sometimes hard to find. Glad I can get some easily close by home. Stop on in and try out their coffees. They are delicious! read more

I went this morning for the grand opening of Haru in the rain because I was craving a matcha and Haru did not disappoint. I tried the mango and blueberry matcha and something that I really have enjoyed about both drinks is the jam like puree of the fruits that taste authentically like the fruits respectively! My only suggestion is to maybe run the puree down the sides of the cup so it's easier to incorporate because it does end up settling back down at the bottom of the cup after mixing The matcha had a very nice, taste with just a little umami at the end perfect for a mix with a fruit based matcha. Will be trying the strawberry soon The ambiance is nice and bright, great for aesthetic pictures with the white light interior. As far as seating there are a few tables with one long bench. This is a nice place for a short visit, or a grab-n-go! Can't wait to come back and enjoy the coffee, love that there's more cute cafes in my neighborhood read more

The interior is so warm, cozy, and spotless -- it instantly makes you feel comfortable. The staff are incredibly kind and welcoming, which makes the whole experience even better. I tried the Biscoff Latte, and it was amazing -- perfectly balanced and not too sweet. The Matcha Einspener was also delicious, super smooth and refreshing. 5/5 - Grand Opening Visit! Stopped by Cafe Haru during their grand opening (Nov 15-16) and had an awesome experience! Customer service was great, the atmosphere was cozy, and the drinks were delicious. They were running a BOGO promo, so I picked up several drinks to try. My favorite was definitely the Matcha Einspänner -- super smooth, creamy, and perfectly balanced. I also enjoyed the other cream lattes like the Black Sesame and Biscoff. One unexpected perk: every time I eat at Korean BBQ Top Grill, I always wished there was a good spot nearby for a quick drink -- and now there is! Cafe Haru is literally right across the street, so this is definitely going to be a regular stop for me. Highly recommend checking this place out! read more

The house black milk tea was very good, and this is coming from someone who has tried 20+ places across OC, SGV, DTLA, etc. I'd recommend 50% sweet or less. They didn't have honey boba when I was there, but the way the barista told me implied that they usually do or are planning to add it? Now that I know how good the black milk tea is, I'm excited to try the other teas. But as a coffee snob, I don't think I would try the coffee here. They have wifi and plenty of seating, and the music is fun. The interior design is in that minimalist faux-nordic style that that I find relaxing and good for working. I tried Black Sesame Oat and Matcha Latte. I like the depp flavor with less sweet which is I liked better than other places. Good new place!! I tried the biscoff latte & the Nutella croissant. I'd say a 5/5 on the latte, and maybe a 4/5 on the croissant. It was pretty good but a little hard, other than that I didn't mind it. It was also under $5 which I did love lol. I got helped quite quickly & my drink was ready within 5 less than 5 minutes. It wasn't what she thought, she didn't like the texture, the flavor or anything about it. She had me taste it and she was right, it tasted like ice without the cream and kind of bland. It is exactly what it is marketed as, low fat, low calorie, low sugar, and low carbs so I have no clue what she thought she was getting. It clearly said, plant based lol. I told her and she said she at least wanted it to taste creamy and she was right, it was far from creamy but Don Melt didn't do anything wrong lol. Anyway, she didn't want to be mean so she held on to it until we got a few stores down and tossed it. Then we went on a hunt to find her ice cream smh. Now, from my experience, it wasn't bad and I understand what they are doing. It's a healthy ice cream that isn't creamy and it's not something I would eat but I get the concept. It's for healthy eaters wanting to fill a craving, which isn't for everyone and I think she was being a little emotional about wanting her ice cream. Once the cold foam melts with the coffee, you really get that banana taste. Swirls of cinnamon and subtle maple taste. Wish the cold foam was a little thicker in consistency. French toast with berries and cream- comes with condensed milk, syrup and butter. The condiments make the French toast. Without the dressings, the bread is a little plain. The bread is soft and fluffy inside. The edges have a little caramelized sugar. Love the thick cut of the bread. Breakfast sandwich- Good average sandwich. It was good but nothing special about it. Would've preferred it came with cheese. Would come back for the coffee and SUPER friendly staff! A little pricey ($30- 1 coffee, half order of French toast and breakfast sandwich).

The service was fast and efficient and the ambience was nice. However there was music playing overhead and at times it would be loud which made everyone talk even louder. So there were times it felt difficult to converse. Overall I did enjoy the bingsoo and would come here again. However, I would probably only order the plain strawberry one instead for future reference.

Service was quick despite it being pretty busy, which is not surprising because it was a Sunday afternoon on the day I went. The setup of the cafe was cute and clean but there are not too many seats. It can thus be difficult to focus if you are coming here to work/study like I did since other people may be coming to hang out and socialize in this relatively small cafe. I got the Biscoff Latte with less ice (which is why it is a little under-filled) and 25% sweet. It was delicious but still very, very sweet because there were many toppings in it, so I would definitely only get this if you have a sweet tooth. There is a wide variety of other tasty beverages, including milk teas, coffees, and even non-caffeinated drinks, as well as dessert options that looked delicious. Came here during their grand opening weekend! There was a small line when I came around 5 pm but staff were friendly and drinks came out quicker than I thought. Interior felt cozy and ambience was nice. I ordered the Blueberry Matcha Latte and what I appreciate is that they use blueberry puree yay!! It is on the sweeter side at 100% sweet so would recommend if you want it to be less sweet to adjust to maybe 75 or 50%! I had their black sesame oat latte and it's the best one I've had thus far. I have a preference for drinks on the bitter side with a hint of sweetness, and this one covers it.
