Eggs with Country Fried Steak & Sausage Gravy
    Matt L.

Was working recently in the Davie, FL area and wanted to start the day off with a good hearty southern style breakfast. I came across Harvest Cafe. I arrived right as they were opening and was seated and served right away. I had a fresh orange juice, chicken fried steak with sausage gravy, two eggs, hash browns and a biscuit. The country fried steak was battered and fried to perfection and had a tasty sausage gravy. Hash browns were fried to the perfect crisp and it all mixed well with a couple over easy fried eggs. Our server I believe was the owner and she was very kind and provided exceptional service, the restaurant has the classic cafe vibe and the food was great. I'd eat here again in a heartbeat.

Stopped in to meet a friend for breakfast. The mall is under construction for improvements to the outside. The inside was large but needed an update which the owner mentioned they will be doing some improvements to in inside soon. My husband and I ordered two eggs, hash browns (which were cooked perfectly) and bacon with toast . Our friend ordered an omelette. Everything was tasty. The coffee was delicious and the waitress came around often to refill. Prices were fair and the Resturant had a home town feeling. Will definitely return. They also serve lunch but I have not tried it.

As soon as you enter your welcomed. Specials on the chalkboard. With unique diner style meals. I got the salisbury steak mashed potatoes. which was cooked toperfect perfection. Definitely enjoyed the fresh orange juice. my wife got the tuna out and was very happy with her selection. We were so hungry this day we forgot the food pictures.

I've heard of this place for a long time but just never made it by. Typical breakfast and lunch cafe. It's owner operated. I sat at the bar and the service was good. From the looks of it this place it's established and been in the area for a long time. People were coming and going.

I was suprised by my partner for a lunch date today. Harvest Cafe was where he wanted to go. I'm not overly impressed with this establishment. It's rather small, old interior, honestly more depressing decor that reminded me of someone who just neglected to take down fall decorations. The service was very slow. We both ordered the Reubens and fries. The sandwiches were mediocre. It really was less than flavorful. Skimpy on the meat and sauerkraut as well as the fries that looked as though they were from Orida frozen bag. We seen the listed desserts on their white board so we decided to order cherry pie Ala mode and chocolate cream pie...server comes back saying.." you're not going to like this but we're out of those". Well my partner decided to order the apple pie and I passed as nothing sounded good at this point. The pie came and I actually laughed, it was small, crumbled and maybe 3 small slices of apples in it. We didn't complain, we were handed the check. Paid the bill and both decided definitely not a great decision made to come here. Obviously we won't return. If you're looking for basic less than average food and just looking to eat breakfast or lunch then this is ok. If you're looking for more flavorful and pleasant establishment keep on driving past here, otherwise you'll be disappointed. I give 2 stars. One for the host saying hello and another star for being able to pay the check quickly. This place needs some work.

I feel so disrespected by this establishment. I ordered the 2-2-2 and the Canadian Bacon Egg Benedict. These people had the audacity to give us two RAW eggs. The Egg Benedict was absolutely DISGUSTING. The Hollandaise sauce was super thick and textured, the egg muffin was burnt and the potatoes were burnt but also hard and undercooked at the same time. The pancakes were basically raw and the sausage tasted old and spoiled. I usually try not to be hard on establishments and usually give them two tries before leaving a review. But the blatant disrespect to provide PAYING customers with two RAW eggs in a container is insane. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY HERE. Absolutely disgusting.

Wanted to try this place near my house and I can honestly say it was disappointing.. we waited almost an hour for food and no one came to check up on us. I ordered the Daily Benedict with ham and it was average. I really love eating breakfast and it's hard to find somewhere locally that really appeals to the eye. However, they do have great breakfast and lunch selections with varying prices. I feel like even if you're short staffed as they keep mentioning to other customers, they should at least check up on us and say there is a bit of a wait time sorry for the delay.

I know daylight savings was a couple weeks ago but I really felt like I went back in time, more than an hour back lol It was a back in the day type feel, or a feeling of being in unfamiliar and different side of the world. Which is awesome!! When a place can change a vibe in an interesting and positive way, it's always a plus!! Coming here tho, everything took forever. Sitting, drinks, us waiting to order, etc, etc. I got the 8 oz flat iron steak with eggs for 12.49. Which isn't too crazy. I also tried the country Benedict with ham and the sausage. I asked for medium rare, and got rare (picture down below), hash browns were way over cooked (little hash) and the eggs were just eggs. My sisters meal was a bit better which was the Benedict. Not a very good experience overall tho

Hello- most of the customers have no problem connecting to the WiFi ( phones , tablets and laptops) but I have noticed a couple of customers whose phones had an issue connecting. Sorry for the inconvenience- I may have to contact AT&T about this…

Everything I ordered was so that I found myself looking for something to criticize. Honestly, there wasn't much. My only real complaint is the limited indoor seating if you're planning to study or work for a while. They seemed fresh and healthy, but they lacked any seasoning or flavor. Everything else more than made up for it. The ambiance and aesthetics were fantastic, creating a welcoming atmosphere. The customer service was outstanding as well. The service I received was exceptionally poor. The sandwiches were, for the most part, average, with one exception, and the scones, one of the.sandwich clotted cream were satisfactory. The tea was acceptable. My visit was in February for high tea, and I left feeling disrespected and uncomfortable. Upon arrival, I approached lady Hostess A and requested an indoor table. She informed me that the indoor seating was full but suggested I could sit anywhere outside. I proceeded to seat myself. There was no queue or other patrons waiting at that time. Mr. Waiter J..later informed me about reported issues with bees in the outdoor area, which I understood. I reiterated my preference for indoor seating, explaining that Hostess A had indicated no availability inside, which led me to the outdoor area. After I placed my order, other patrons arrived. Hostess A escorted them to outdoor tables and provided them with menus. This pattern continued with subsequent arrivals. I observed that all the patrons she seated shared a similar skin tone to hers, unlike myself. Furthermore, after patrons departed from the indoor area, Hostess A personally re-entered the outdoor area to escort these new arrivals inside, despite their arrival significantly after mine. One patron, whom she seated indoors, later returned outside..The inside was full but many cluents left in groups freeibg uo various table indore..She appeared to have many options..options that i was not offrerd after i my wish was express that i wanted an inside table Lady A indicating that indoor seating had been available. I also overheard her inquiring about reservations, suggesting that these patrons did not have one. Another patron seated near me was also offered an indoor table. Throughout this experience, Mr. J observed my predicament with the bees and proactively intervened to improve the situation. I shared my observations with him, and he offered me an indoor table, which I declined at that point. His exemplary teamwork and service in addressing the disrespect and unfavorable treatment I experienced were didpleased . My waiter, Mr. J.. was ok.. When I shared my observations with him, he suggested that Hostess A might have forgot about me. I found this particularly noteworthy given that two patrons were seated within arm's length of me, requiring her to navigate around me. My table was also positioned beside the entrance, a high-traffic area for incoming guests. While I acknowledged the possibility of oversight, I also reflected on the unfortunate phenomenon where individuals of differing skin tones are sometimes marginalized as in my case. I sat outside and while the bees was competing with my food. Mr. Jeh...consistently refilled my tea and checked on me frequently. The waiter also checked on me and acknowledged the bee issue. Mr. Jel ....was professionalism, kindness, and efficiency in attempting to rectify the situation were commendable. I would rate the waiter's quality as 3 out of 10, while Mr. jEl....service merits a perfect 10. Regarding the restaurant as a whole, I am profoundly disappointed. I had been enthusiastic about finding a tea house, as they are a rarity in South Florida.

When I got there, I was the only in line to order and the place wasn't really packed either. I ordered, sat down and opened my laptop to work a bit. I noticed it was taking a while, but also realized there was only person working in the back for the food, and the guy in front was doing all the drinks himself, so I gave the benefit of the doubt. I then noticed that the people coming in after me were getting their orders before I was. After a bit, I went up to the guy and turns out my coffee had just been sitting out for God knows how long. I'm irritated because 1. You brought other people their order to their table, so why didn't you bring me mine if you obviously saw that I was sitting down with my laptop open, not waiting on the side as if it was a to-go order. 2. Instead of at least alerting me that my drink was ready so I can go up and get it, you just let it sit there while chit chatting with two customers. 3. It took 30 minutes for a tequeño and empanada to be warmed up, and even then you gave it to me in a to go bag while everybody else got theirs on a nice plate. Mind you, he didn't even ask if it was for here or to go when I initially ordered, but at the same time, if it was to go, I would've waited by the register, but I literally sat down with my laptop open, so I thought it would be pretty obvious I was there to dine-in. There was a girl that sat next to me who came in maybe 5 minutes after, and we both gave each other a look like "where is our order?" And of course, it was just sitting out. Overall, food and drinks were not worth it, especially with the service. Looking at other reviews, I also see other people on the same boat. This place is adorable and has potential, but not with this type of service.
