Tasty burger. Small little Shop that is more of a take out spot. Was in the area and stopped by for the standard burger and tots. Great tasting well cooked burger, wasn't disappointed. The tots were surprisingly really good too, honestly wasn't expecting anything other than everyday tots. These had a great seasoning on them. They also have beer to go, mostly local selections. Best Veggie burger in town! If you haven't tried this place, don't miss out. The meat burger has lots of flavor packed with lettuce, tomatoes, mustard, etc. Bun is pasted just right. It's a small, VERY quaint place with delicious food. They make eveything to order so it's always hot and fresh. My only complaint with the place is there are only about six seats but it is what it is and that's enough. I'll be going back soon. read more

Not sure why there are such rave reviews. I ordered the Substandard burger - how fitting! It was a good burger, no complaints. However, it was just slightly better than Sonic. Easily the BEST "greasy spoon" burger place in town. This hidden east Dallas gem is SO GOOD!!! They deliver, which is nice because it is a really small burger shack with very little seating. Priced just right and everybody that works there is always really nice. Yes they serve beer, no you cannot drink it there, but they are working on getting the proper permits, so I'm hopeful that will change soon. My only issue with this place is that I can't (or shouldn't) eat there every day! read more

Went to purchase a meal on 11/18/18, arrived and seen only one staff member wearing a hair net at the grill. 2 others were in the kitchen, one on the salad prep without hair net and the other frying without wearing a hair. I stopped in for the first time on Tuesday for lunch. I was hooked! The burgers are grilled fresh and have that charbroiled crispy edge, the onion rings are fresh and yummy, and the tater twists are crispy on the outside and moist on the inside. We've been twice more this week. I had the mushroom Swiss tonight. It was so delicious and came with some chunky mushrooms. Also, the employees are so nice and down home and helpful. Great new burger joint in East Dallas! I've only had the burgers, but they have many more choices on the menu. Great staff, friendly and efficient. Nothing fancy, and it's take out only, so be aware of that. A little hard to find, but it's right across the street from the Egg Roll Hut. Usually spots that can make a decent burger can also serve up a tasty chicken sandwich. Harvey B/G's did not disappoint on that front. I called in my order of a grilled chicken sandwich with lettuce, tomato, swiss, avocado, and mayo, and it was hot and ready for me when I arrived to pick it up. The guy who was working the grill was curious who it was for since it had so many toppings he didn't think anyone could possibly fit it into their mouth. It must have flattened a bit in the wrapper on the drive home because it was indeed possible to eat without too much jaw stretching. I also got some tots with queso (melted cheese with rotell tomatoes is what it seemed like to me) over them that were pretty fantastic. The onion rings were meh for me. I just don't think I like that kind of breading with onion rings. Anyway, overall a great take out spot. They also sell local beers like Deep Ellum Blonde for $2 each (for offsite consumption). read more

These burgers are for real folks! I came here on a Saturday. Great food. Awesome service. I ordered the standard with cheese combo with spiral cut fries. I told Gwenn at the counter i had heard lots of good things about their burgers and it was my first time in the place. She was real nice. I took a stool and waited for my food to arrive. When my food arrived, the lady who brought me my food told me they included a side of queso to go with my fries.....Oh my God! Cheese and Fries! I love the indulgence. Im already in heavan.......The burger was fantastic. I liked the charbroiled taste of the meat patty. This is how a burger should taste....The spiral cut fries and the queso dip was excellent as well. Hold on...theres more folks! I was halfway through the burger, and the lady who originally brought me my food showed up with a complimentary order of onion rings....She told me the chef wanted me to try their freshly cut onion rings...How can I turn down onion rings??!! The onion rings blew my mind.....The batter was not thick and encasing like you find at most burger places that sell onion rings...The batter was more like a thin tempura batter and it was seasoned very well. Company ordered lunch here and I ordered the Double Standard. The burger is huge! It was 2 half-pound patties! I had to take out one of the patties to consume the burger. The size was awesome, but the overall burger was a disappointment. When I opened the foil that wrapped this beast, I saw 2 thin buns. All I saw was 2 patties poking out of the slices of bread. I think the bread started out as 2 full bodies buns, but once it was put into action, they couldn't withstand the hands that compressed them. They were both soggy and tasted like watered down bread. When I open the burger to see what was included, all I saw was wilted shredded lettuce and 2 thinly sliced tomatoes. It was a sad sight to see. Seems as though the veggies drowned in the meat juices and the tomatoes followed. The meat wasn't bad by itself, but with the soggy bread, lettuce, and tomatoes, there is no hope for a good burger. I also had a side of tater tots. These were better than the burger. Nothing fancy, deep fried like a tater should be. read more
