If I could give this Micheal Harvey and his son's company 5+ stars, I would. They went above and beyond for the bed bug problem our small apartment had. They were also 1/2 the price. You need know that you have to be flexible with time, they are very precise and like to spend the correct amount of time in each house and room. They do a very good job. This is a local business with a father and a son and they are extremely knowledgeable, friendly and like to satisfy their customers. Harvey and his staff are awesome. They came in and did both me & my girlfriends apartment (just to be safe) for a discounted price. We had a trip planned for the weekend and he worked around our schedule. We gave him our keys and returned Sunday to clean and pest free apartments. Also, they through in a few extras. I would select a zero stars if I could. I had Michael come out to my property 23 days ago and still havent been able to obtain the proper report needed for my bed bug inspection. He has given me an invoice and estimate instead of a report which I am required to give my tenants within 2 business days of the inspection. His invoice/estimate has misspellings and states "cannine inspection". What is that? When I google search that word it appears its spelled wrong. The correct spelling is canine which means dog. He didnt have a dog when he inspected the units therefore making his invoice/estimate look like a lie. The inaccurate information doesnt stop there: the date on the estimate is 7 days off from the date he inspected the units. We reached out to him numerous times to make these corrections but he keeps putting us off. Now he isnt answering our calls. Of course we already paid him for his service which was a BIG mistake! He has put our company in a really bad position. Its really not that difficult. If it doesnt get resolved we will be submitting a complaint to the better business bureau. I hope this gets your attention Mr Michael Harvey and you make things right. Im happy to remove this bad review and take no further action as soon as he submits the proper report to us. read more

At first they were completely helpful and answered all our questions about our bed bug problem but they arrived late and were not thorough. They said they were really busy and running behind so we felt like they did the job rushed. We were still nice about it. After a couple weeks we still had some bed bugs on our couch and Mr. Harvey said to throw out the item or bag it up. We did. We called after 3 months and scheduled another appointment because my son was getting bit. I got rid of his crib and mattress and was frustrated again . I let him know to schedule me on a day he wasn't going to be rushed and he "did". He told me to bag up my items and caulk the molding on the floor. I took off of work and stayed up late the night before. He did not show up at the time scheduled so I called a million times and he did not pick up. He finally answered and told me he was running "late" that he and to give him 2 1/2 hours to arrive. He did not come and I kept calling and calling him. The fact that this irresponsible business owner is still providing service is ridiculous. How can you act like that towards customers. All he wants is money and since he wasn't going to get paid for doing my house again he did not show up. I am so upset with this company. I called in from work and stayed up late to pick all my things. Now I'm left with no one to come treat my place because this company decided not to show up. It's the worst feeling in the world. Do NOT hire this company because you want someone who regardless of how busy they are, they will take their time at your place, be on time, and not leave you hanging. I selected Mr. Harvey's pest control services because of the price and unfortunately the adage of "you get what you pay for" is true. I received subpar service, paid him advance and he did not return to provide the second part of the service. I own a business that needed pest control services, I sought him out, read his reviews on Yelp and after learning of his price, I selected him to provide the service. He came, serviced the property, was paid and the pest issue continued for weeks. I unfortunately paid him in advance to service another room of the business, I called called to confirm his prearranged arrival, did not receive a return call, called him eight hours - he finally answered the call and said that he was "on his way", but he did not arrive that day. He also did not return my phone calls or refund my money. It's been 3 & 1/2 weeks since I heard from him. I was forced to hire another company to redo what he had done and - surprise - the pest issue was professionally resolved by Zeek's Pest Control after one treatment. I am very dissatisfied by Harvey Pest Control and discourage anyone from using his services. If you are a person of any color, stand upright, possess eyes and at least one operational ear or pay him you may not receive the service you paid for as was my experience. read more

My nephew who lives away at school periodically comes home for vacation. A few months ago when he was home he was bitten by what he believed was an insect however, he did not see any bugs. He was very frustrated because when he was home he was the only person in the house who was bitten. We all took turns sleeping in his bed because we couldn't understand how he was being bitten and no one else in the home was. We decided to strip all the bedding on his bed, vacuum the room thoroughly and look for bugs but ,to no avail there was nothing we could find. This became extremely frustrating for him, as well as, his parents since we could not identify the bug. After extensive research my nephew believed he had been a victim of bed bugs! My sister contacted Terminex and had a technician come out to the house. Though the technician was very polite and he did an extensive evaluation of the house, he assured my sister she did not have a bed bugs but had dust mites and carpet beetles. The Terminex technician treated the house for dust mites and carpet beetles and we thought perhaps the problem was solved. The next time my nephew came home and slept in his room he was again bitten. I did a google search for someone in my area for bed bugs and found Harvey's Pest Control. I also contacted another company and gave our scenario and that person said he didn't think we had a bed bug infestation problem and gave me tips on what he thought I could do without him coming out. When we contacted Mike Harvey we were at a point of desperation! At first Mike said he couldn't come out right away due to a previous booking but somehow he made it over the very next day. Mike came in and did a complete and thorough search of the house. Though he did not find a bed bud he found what he thought could be a shell of a bed bug. When Mike told us could could treat the room for bed bugs we told him our first concern was that of harsh chemicals. Mike alleviated our concerns and explain his treatment would be eco friendly by using heat and a natural stone derivative. After this heat treatment 3 bed bugs were discovered. So indeed we had no infestation but clearly these 3 bugs were our cause of angst anxiety! The next morning Mike came out to treat the room which involved an extensive process which he oversaw the entire day. Mike did not leave our home until 11:45pm! And, he was back the next morning to complete the job and assure us that if we needed any follow-up treatment he was only a call away! read more

My roommate and I needed an exterminator ASAP before our situation got out of control. We called Harveys at 5pm and they came out at 7:30pm and sprayed the entire apartment. They did every inch of the place and didn't leave until 12:30am. They guaranteed we would not see one live bug after the treatment and if by some chance we did, we could call them and they would come back and do the entire process again for FREE as many times as we needed. I don't know what he did or how but all I know is new apartment I moved in is ROACH FREE!!! Mike's prices are beyond reasonable -- I called a lot places and he had the best deal! In addition, I asked him about bedbugs as well and he answered my questions over the phone even before I even made the appointment. Today he came by because I had a concern about black stuff on my floor. He informed me it was tar coming from the roof -- but he was nice enough to come check it out for me. I was having a bug problem and was unaware until I woke up with bites in my neck. I called Harveys pest control, explained my problem and he was at my home within an hour. He checked my room thoroughly, found bed bugs in my head board. My room was treated and resolved. Mr. Harvey followed up with me the next day and the next week to make sure the bugs were all gone. I'm not sure where all the 5 star ratings come from. I called today in panic out of a possible bed bug issue. I spoke to Mike and asked if they can do a treatment asap, and he said yes. I took leave from my work in the morning as Mike agreed to meet with me. Two hours pass and he's a no show. I literally end up calling this guy several times to find out what's going on, and he finally shows up 5 hours later, eyes glazed and red as if he'd been under *something, slurring a bit with his speech saying he had other units he was taking care of. Mike gave me the impression on the phone that he can just show up with the equipment and do the work right away (I don't have knowledge about bed bugs or how these pest problems are supposed to be treated, and I should've asked questions, but I was under duress and a professional should know how to properly present information to their customers). So he goes into my apt. and informs me that I'll need to pack up my things in there before he can start doing anything, that the steaming will take about 7 hours (he originally said 4), checked out my outlets then decided I didn't have enough power to generate the proper equipment??? I told him I had to be somewhere early evening, and he actually said: "Well, you can leave your keys with me and we'll do the work for you so when you come back, everything will be done." To which I responded, "Are you kidding? I've never used your company before and I prefer to be home when this is done." He said, "Our customers leave us their keys all the time." REALLY??? I was so done at this point because I left my work early, lost hours of pay, and so I just rushed him out to the door. Well, Mr. Harvey does not do his job. After showing up 3 times, the rodent problem was not fixed. I told him to go under the house and he said he'd be here Monday. He was informed that we would not be home when he came to just go under the house and leave a message as to what he found. The first time he came he said "holes" needed to be patched. The 2nd time he came he found holes he didn't patch the first time. The third time he showed he patched a hole then asked for additional monies. Mind you, he was paid in full the first time. Then I called and gave him a week to show up and go under the house to finish this nonsense. He left me a message saying he came on the day I said I wouldn't be here....this man does NOT listen. For some reason he was fearful of going under my house to see what was there or where the mice were able to crawl up into the house. He did not show the whole week and now I will have to sue him. He is not registered with BBB so they won't help. I DO NOT RECOMMEND HARVEY'S PEST CONTROL for rodents, or any service. read more

Harvey's Pest Control is the BEST!! I just moved into a small apartment complex and unbeknownst to me, there were flying and crawling pests in both the kitchen and bathroom. I called three different pest control companies and Michael Harvey was the ONLY technician who THOROUGHLY inspected and correctly assessed the issue. He inspected inside my unit but when he stepped outside my backdoor, he immediately told me that there was either a busted and/or leaking pipe under my unit, which was causing the strong mildew smell as well as the pests flying and crawling around in my unit. The other two companies just did a basic and brief walk through in my kitchen and bathroom and around the unit outside but their assessments were nowhere near as thorough as Michael's. I called the owner of my building and communicated to him what Michael had told me and he had a contractor come by and look under my unit and sure enough there was a great deal of moisture and a very corroded pipe, which is now being replaced thanks to Michael's correct assessment. If you need pest control services I would definitely call Harvey's Pest Control as Michael is very efficient and will provide you with a thorough inspection and correct assessment in order to correct the problem.
