I just can't resist trying new brunch places. I was excited about the food, knowing ahead of time about their claim to fame - loud music playing in the background. To blatantly lay it out there, I'm not that young or old. Loud music doesn't bother me, but I wasn't vibing with the whole ordeal at 1:00pm on a Wednesday. The DJ had the music blasting to the point that I had to shout in order for my friend to hear what I was saying. I felt bad since one of my friends has hearing aids, and it was too hot to sit outside. Next comes the service. Our waitress didn't explain the menu. She took her sweet time to even circle back to get our orders. The food also felt like it took forever to come out. My friend and I both didn't have our sides of potatoes that were promised about 3 minutes after we received our entrees. In fact, the potatoes appeared about 12 minutes later when we were almost done with our meal, satiated to the point of not wanting the potatoes any more. To top it off, the waitress dropped off the receipt. She subsequently started clearing away our plates without even asking if we were done. I guess she assumed I was done eating since I had my fork down, trying to look at the receipt. After running our credit, she simply leaves the handheld credit card reader on our table without clearing that away. I think you get the picture about my experience. Don't get me wrong - the food and presentation were fantastic. I loved my elote hash - it was super savory; the poached egg was on point. First thing you notice when you walk in is how LOUD and cramped the space is. There are a lot of tables filled in the space and there's a live DJ playing pop music. The menu has a lot of great sounding options. The huevos rancheros hash is good, but i definitely recommend the "best f***ing Birria hash". The meat has a better taste, which the waiter said is due to them marinating the meat for 24 hrs. For sweet, the bread pudding French toast sticks are great. They're served with a runny creme brulee for dipping. The pancakes aren't that great, they were a bit too chewy and stick to your mouth. I can't remember her name but she was a rockstar our entire visit. We ordered a build your own Bloody Mary. There are soooo many ways to build and customize it. I chose the bacon vodka, classic heat, and a tajin rim. I added a few pickled asparagus and greens beans, various stuffed green olives, smoke mozzarella, and pepper jack, and pickles okra. I also added a fried ravioli and bacon. It's honestly a drink and appetizers in one. We also tried the billionaire bacon, best freaking birria hash, and the carnitas hash. The bacon is drool worthy. A nice balance of meet and fat ratio. sweet vs salty and melts in your mouth. YUMMMM! The braised beef in the birria was delicious, it was tender and flavorful. And paired with a fried egg and potatoes plus 3 quesadillas and consome. I ate half and was stuffed! My friend also liked her carnitas hash. That Birria sauce it comes with to pour over or dip your food in- what an extraordinary meal! My better half always going with her "go-to" Corned Beef Hash meals did not disappoint. Not even close. Fat chunks of corned beef, over thick cuts of hash, topped with a poached egg that when you cut into it, it trickled goodness over the sautéed onions, peppers, and gravy. You know I had a couple fork full bites of her plate! My bud had the Chorizo & Bacon Breakfast Burrito and talk about presentation- unfrigginbelievable!! 3 out of 4 of our meals were served in cast iron skillets and what an amazingly blend of ingredients bursting in flavors! We were so looking forward to this place opening. So much hype about it and the location is a mile from our house in far north Fort Worth. It was over an hour wait on a Saturday morning. No big deal I expected that. When we finally got our text message to come in we were famished. Right off the bat I was turned off by the night club atmosphere. If you're 21 and a partier....this place if for you. Everyone else it's way too loud. I couldn't even have a conversation with my family at the table. The service was very slow and honestly once again...struggled to even have a conversation with our waitress due to the extremely loud music. We got the Benedict fries to start off. They looked good. It was an appetizer and they brought it with our meal. They seemed very disorganized. The fries were good BUT the egg was hard boiled. A Benedictine egg is supposed to be soft boiled and that egg is liquid when you bust the yolk. Another fail. I ordered the Americano Scrambler. It was tiny. Seriously it looked at best like one large egg. Then the eggs were way overcooked. I also ordered a biscuit as a side because I was dying to see how good they were. DRY!!! This brunch spot in an excellent place to go if you're looking for a fun place to hang out in the morning. They have a live DJ who helps create an energized atmosphere and get you excited for the rest of your day. With that said, it's pretty loud in there - so if you have a hangover, this may not be the place for you. They do have an excellent drink menu, so if you're a 'hair of the dog' type of person, then this IS the place for you! The food was unique, well plated, and delicious. This place is amazing. In fact, coming from Dallas where top notch food is aplenty, it can be hard to find places in the suburbs that line up with that. It is loud, don't get me wrong. There's a patio, though, and that could help if you're looking for quieter. They have AMAZING Birria, and they have lots of options to put it on. On our first visit we tried the cannoli donuts, and they were good. Interesting concept! We also shared a Birria hash and had plenty leftover! It was soooo good. The second visit, we brought my Bloody Mary loving father-in-law and he was having a great time exploring their massive Bloody Mary bar. Like a kid in a candy store. We got the avocado toast with the pork carnitas and the potato breakfast tacos with Birria. The in-laws got the red chilaquiles, and the red sauce was spot on. I tried that 2nd visit, mimosa flight the first time. Soooo many options and absolutely loved the whole experience. We have had the smores pancakes- insanely Sweet but outstanding. Chocolate Decadence - superb. Carnitas hash, yummy! Giulianas Hangover hash is different but so good. The gravy and the corn bread bottom, so flavorful! My sister was beside herself on the chile relleno hash. I will say, there were a lot of things missing from the Bloody Mary bar. Not necessary especially given people are trying to order food or have a conversation. The people next to us were trying to talk to each other which meant they were screaming at each other which led to even more noise overload. Service is awful. Waitress took our order, delivered our drinks and never came back until we complained to a manager. Someone else delivered our food/ he didn't ask if we needed anything soooo no ketchup for hash browns, no butter, no syrup and no refill on drinks. We finally flagged down a different waitress to get the manager. Manager was nice, got the condiments we asked for and had our waitress bring us refill on drinks. She apologized saying they had her working the Bloody Mary bar too and sometimes she "gets stuck working back there". That's my problem why? Manager discounted $20 dollars off our bill which was very kind and gave us a coupon for free donuts at our next visit (which of course we won't be using). Food is just ok - absolutely nothing special. Minimal tip left bc service was non existent.
