Long wait times for this location, because it's pretty hip and happenin I guess lol. They have front security making sure you check in. A little hood if you ask me. I got seated about 30min after my arrival. My guest and I chose the bar. We sat down we were greeted and shortly after ordered, since we were starving. We went on a Tuesday morning. I took my 3 older children and an infant.... One adult, 4 kids. We arrived around 9:30am and were sat pretty quickly. I was very grateful the music wasn't as loud as it is on the weekends. That is normally just fine but not preferred with kids and a baby. The temperature inside was a warm but everything else was clean and orderly. I believe our servers name was Tristan. He did a fantastic job taking care of us and being patient with my two young boys as they ordered for themselves. He did everything we asked with a happy heart and a smile on his face. Got in pretty quickly, once our full party was present! With that being said, we put our name on the list 20 minutes before the rest of the group. It was packed on a Monday morning. There's nowhere to really wait inside, there was a big group squished to one corner of the room. Too hot to wait outside. Atmosphere was lively and bright. Service was average. Food was pricey (skillet was $19) but big enough portions to share. My friend got the epic bloody mary. I don't drink bloody marys, but I'd say it's worth coming here just to go to the bloody mary bar! Get ready for a long wait if you plan on going for brunch on a Saturday like my family and I did. It took about 2 hours to get seated, which we called in for a reservation that morning and then went shopping at a mall while we waited. A bit pricey for food, but it corresponds to the amount of food you get for the meal, which is a lot. I don't think any of us finished our meal's. I personally had the loco moco, which was a bit dry. I wish they poured more sauce. My partner had the Birria hash which came with cheese tacos to dip in the consume sauce. The tortillas were overly hard, but the cheese was good. My friend thought the avocado toast was too stacked to eat and fit in their mouth for a bite, but they also thought it was delicious. The mimosa flight was sweet and the Becky was great, especially since we got to keep the bucket as a souvenir. The atmosphere was overall loud and busy. No organization at check in. Sat at the bar waiting to be seated was told 20 mins max. 45 mins later they are seating people just arriving while we were still waiting and hungry. Mind you they had just checked on us about 10 mins earlier saying table was almost ready. Half the tables were empty. I had to assert myself to be seated. Once seated the waitress never brought any of the items we asked for. Had to ask busboy for coffee mug, silverware, etc which he actually was the only one that exceeded expectations. Ordered our food online, when I went in to pick up our food, it said it would be ready at 1156am, the food wasn't ready, the host (male) said it'd be a few more minutes. So I went back to my car and came back about 5-7 mins later and asked for my order again, to which the host/manager (different one) tells me that it'll be a few more minutes. After I advise her that I had already been told to wait, when I initially went in, she states that she would issue me a refund and walked away, w/out saying another word. Just like that. I assumed my order was cancelled. I call and of course she's the manager so the attitude isn't going to change there. They're doing fine w/out my business there. My cousin had the waffle @ egg scramble (not pictured)& she ate every bite. Overall, service was great however, I deducted 1 star due to the restroom. Both of the women's stalls were empty of toilet paper and paper towels & was just not tidy...30min or so later, my cousin used the restroom and she mentioned it was restocked and picked up (which is good). Absolutely love the food from Hash Kitchen. Brunch is my favorite meal of the day. It is such a treat to have the option to enjoy a well done brunch on days other than Sunday. Food is fun while still being delicious. My favorites are their French toast and pancakes. Pancakes are filling. They hold up well to the topping options. I always order extra syrup with them. The s'more pancakes are next level. If you have ever wanted s'mores for breakfast this is it. French toast is rich. Brioche is used for the bread. Both pancakes and French toast are practically desserts masquerading as breakfast... and I am so there for it. Hash is flavor forward. Hash feels healthier than the pancakes. When not looking for sweet, the hash fit the bill. All breakfasts I have tried are plentiful. Drink game is just as fun as the pancakes. Hash Kitchen is known for their over the top bloody Mary's and drink flights. While we haven't tried the bloody Mary's, we did try a snow cone flight. This was much cooler in concept than execution. The ice was packed in in a way that by the time it got to our table it had melted together and was one large hard lump. It was hard to consume. Either ice had to be chipped off, or it had to melt. Waiting for it to melt just ment drinking it, and most of the flavor was gone before all the ice melted. The dj is even louder at this location that the Scottsdale one. There is always a line for weekend brunch. Maybe the idea is that if people can't talk to one another they won't be tempted to linger. I know we don't lingering. My husband and I came to check this place out because of the reviews. Let me tell you this place was popping.( it was definitely loud both inside and outside.) something to consider for the occasion. The food was decent, nothing that blew me away to either come back and/or recommend it to others. I will say that the service was below par. We were greeted well. But let me tell you once our food was brought we never saw our waiter until we saw him minutes later after finishing our food and we waved him down. And my friend really wanted to try this place, I told him about my negative experience here last time and I was super hesitant I put my feelings aside and decided let's give it another try I mean it was two years ago! The staff was better! Their vanilla latte is really good, my food was terrible not only did my friends come out first and he finished his meal but by the time my came out it was cold! Was super excited for this place because everything on their menu sounded delicious and it's a very cute atmosphere. The service was good, but coffee and food were a bit of a miss. We didn't try any of their cocktails but they all sounded really good. Coffee was cold and tasted like an ash tray but they were accommodating about it. The chicken in the chicken tinga scramble tasted like it had been sitting in the fridge or possibly in the freezer for too long and wasn't reheated properly, it had an old fridge/freezer taste to it. The tamales benedict were good but sadly the corn cakes also had the same old/freezer taste. But otherwise the food overall was not bad. We were surprised by their potatoes because at first they just looked like basic fingerling potatoes but they were so bomb. Crunchy outside, soft inside, and flavorful, probably have one of the best potatoes/hash I've had at a restaurant. We'll probably go again but will try other things on the menu, hopefully we don't experience the same old/freezer taste next time. read more
