This place was fun! My 4 of 5 was solely because of the food. Ambience and vibe- 5 all the way. There was a live dj playing and it was packed so the vibes were high. Server was great we had a party of maybe 20 and she handled everything well. My star deduction was for the food - or maybe just what I ordered. I had the potato tacos with tinga. Two things I make myself at least once a month. The potato tacos themselves weren't filled enough. I felt like I had more tortilla in every bite instead of a combo of both. The tinga is my next gripe, it was too watered down and made the tacos soggy. If I'm in the area it's somewhere I'd visit again, just ordering something new. read more

Time for an updated review. We brought visiting family into town in early January, excited to give them the Hash Kitchen experience. Overall our experience was fine, but many changes have been made to the menu. Several of our favorite dishes have been cut or decently reworked, which takes away from the excitement and decadence of the Hash Kitchen experience. What a bummer. Our server was fine. She was a little MIA in between taking our order and the food arriving, so we were a bit desperate for refills. I enjoyed my hash grand slam. The bacon, extra crispy, is delicious! The silver dollar pancakes are way too big to be called silver dollar, but still tasty. My spouse's croissant burger was fine, but didn't have the characteristics of a truly smashed burger. Overall the lack of vegetarian options for the menu is a bit disappointing--if you remove the meat would it reduce the price? All in all, a fine meal, but the changes made it so we were missing the sparkle of Hash Kitchen that made us so excited to share it with guests. read more

Terribly slow service! Went on a Thursday around noon. Very little customers. Saw maybe 5 tables. Waited over 20 minutes just to put our orders in. Had to ask where our drinks were about another 20 minutes. Food came out. Two diners got theirs then the other 2 had to wait another 10 minutes. I've had the chilaquiles, hashes, and avocado toast here but today tried the Sexy Toast. Excellent choice and a much more reasonable size than the usually massive portions Hash offers. We arrived just after they opened on Sunday morning. Two guys walked in right before us and sat at the bar. The bartender was talking to them while we waited and waited to be acknowledged. After several minutes a waitress came over to seat us. The table she chose had crumbs on the seat, funny since they just opened. I ordered the Hangover Hash. I was not expecting cornbread on the bottom. The flavor was good. I would have like more spice but it is what it is. Had breakfast here this morning and all I can say is YUMMY. The staff were great. A pleasant group to be around. The food was awesome. I had the Banana Split French Toast and my husband had The Best F**king Birria. Both were cooked so well and the flavors are a great combination. Love coming here for the Bloody Mary bar and the good vibes. This last visit, there was a little hiccup at the BYO bar (tragic, because what's brunch without meatballs and toasted ravioli?). But Joshua, the bar manager, came to the rescue like a brunch superhero, cape probably hidden under his apron. Crisis averted. It's been awhile since I have been to hash kitchen and thought it was time to revisit. I joined the waitlist through their website and it said 15-25 minutes. For a Sunday morning in Peoria that wasn't bad. I received text confirmation to check in when I arrived and we arrived about 20 minutes later. We checked in with the host and they found us on the list and said it was about a 20 minutes later wait. There were numerous people outside as was expected for a Sunday around 11:45. We were seated with in 20 minutes and immediately ordered the build your own Bloody Mary. We chose jalapeño vodka and cilantro lime, spicy Bloody Mary mix, then we got busy at the bar! So many good things to add, a little horseradish, a little pickle juice, olives (all kinds) Sun-dried tomatoes, pickled okra, cheese, chorizo, salami. Finished it off with some delicious bacon, fried cheese ravioli, fried jalapeño poppers, even a meatball. These things were masterpieces. Supplemented all that spice with the banana split French which was among the best French I have had. The service was great and the meal was delicious. Great job. We'll be back and soon. read more

I had just dropped someone off in the Glendale/Peoria area and was hungry for breakfast so I found this on YELP and it was really a great spot. I had a make your own scramble with ground sausage, onions and goat cheese and it was a great medley. I loved the large coffee mugs as well as I like a fair amount of coffee and hate waiting for the waiters to come around and refill. I also decided to try a blueberry mimosa and it was good. I did ask if it was flavoring or a puree and they said it was purée but it was really just syrup. Still, it was good and had five or so blueberries in the glass for a nice touch. I sat at the counter and as the morning progressed, it was getting more crowded so it is obviously a local favorite. I understand there are a few other locations and hope they make one closer to where I love as the menu looks great and I want to try more items like carnitas. Overall, it was a very good experience with the service and the food. I would recommend trying it out for sure. We ordered drinks and the food came out first. The server (Luis B) and manager went into action when they realized what had happened and quickly turned things around. We had a great experience here! The host (who I'm assuming was general manager or at least shift manager) was very kind and personable upon seating us and offered us a promo! The server, Lola, was quick, friendly and attentive! The food was amazing - my husband got the Americano Scrambler and the biscuits and gravy and I got the chili relleno hash. All plates came out quickly and hot and delicious! We also got a Party of Two Sk8er Boi cocktail that was great! We had to wait a while 5 or 10 minutes despite the fact that there were several vacant tables. The music was a little loud too. Maybe I'm just an old fart, but breakfast and brunch is really not the time for love music. The food and service was very good. We were sat outside and it was hot.. though there was shade, and misters, a couple fans would be helpful in the summers. I wanted to share feedback about my recent visit to this restaurant, as the service we received was extremely disappointing. Our waitress Loralai appeared to have no energy or enthusiasm during our visit, and we only saw her twice throughout the entire meal. From the start, we had no silverware and had to go to the front multiple times just to get basic service. She never offered drink refills or checked in to see if we needed anything. To make matters worse, food items were missing from our order, and we had to ask another waiter to help us since our waitress was nowhere to be found. At the end of the meal, she never came by with the check, so we ended up paying through the QR code on the table. She finally reappeared just to take the plates--without an apology, any acknowledgment of the poor service, or even asking how the food was. This was by far the worst service I've ever had. I felt uncomfortable not leaving a tip, but honestly, the service didn't deserve one. I hope this feedback is taken seriously, as I would like to see improvements made so guests in the future don't have the same experience. read more

Excellent service from Ian, delicious food, fun atmosphere with a DJ, nice interior, great patio, and a mimosa flight, plus a bloody mary bar, all at a reasonable price - what more could you want for brunch? For food we got the Herb Fried Chicken & Waffle with two eggs, and the Bread Pudding French Toast Sticks (with a Crème Brûlée dipping sauce). Both were perfect! For drinks we got the Mimosa Flight (strawberry, blueberry, peach, and kiwi) which was made with fresh fruit. Strawberry one was the best! We also got a Build Your Own Bloody Mary, which had a ton of options to choose from, very neat, tasted like quality ingredients from smoked cheese to grilled bacon to pickled jalapeños and everything in between. I went here yesterday for brunch, it has been a few months since I have been. The food was terrible. I ordered the same thing I always get the tamale Benedict. The tamales were not in cakes and there was very little and definitely not even enough for even a whole tamale. The pork looked like cat food chopped up small and no flavor. The poached eggs were the smallest I have ever seen. I will not be back my stomach was so upset. Whoever is cooking needs to read the menu again and taste their own food.
