We drive hither and yon for some of the best breakfasts. Then every now and again, we remember those special places that are two minutes away. Hashtag is one of those. Haven't been in awhile (maybe even BC -- before Covid) so it felt like an adventure. Woke up bright and early on this Saturday morning to avoid the rush. Our server was delightful -- helpful, and funny and very quick with the coffee refills! The menu is enticing and has something for everyone. We chose the French'wich and the California Omelette. Yummy creations in and of themselves, then added a Caramel Apple Hot Cake for the sweet we all need in the morning. It was fantastic. Wait: 1 hour - We walked to check out all the plants and tchotchkes at the shop next door and then down to ND Street Bar on the corner to have a drink. It was nice to have things open in the area, if the kids were with me the wait would've still been tolerable since the shop was open. Decor: Hip beehive and modern diner vibe... hipster / snooze Sounds: T-pain is playing, Buy U a Drank as I start skimming the menu. The playlist was everything! Biggie - big poppa instrumental version... The Service: 8/10 friendly, helpful with the menu. Food: I ordered the Hippy Hash, over easy with the recommendation of the server. It was okay, I pushed the salad off and ate the eggs with the sweet potatoes. I think any vegetable lover would've been in heaven. Its a real farm to table vibe, I'm just picky and would've been full with one egg and a couple strawberries. I also had the Smokey Bloody, a regular Coffee & an apple juice. It wasn't bad, nothing special. Overall I would say this place was fine, good for groups & kids but not as good as our old faithful, Snooze. WOW-- this place hit the spot! I love cute boutiquey brunch spots and this was adorable. We opted to sit outside before it got too hot outdoors and enjoyed our breakfast on a quiet patio. I lovedddd my Knife & Fork smoked salmon toast. 10/10 recommend all of it. They give you a side of marmalade to add to each bite and i nearly fell over, it's sooo good! Tasty, with fresh salmon! It was pretty busy when we went but there was no wait time. Our server was fast and got our food orders in and out quick. The food is huge portions. I ordered a salmon Benedict and it was good the salmon was a little salty. The michelada was served with modelo. I usually order them all over wherever I go. It was good just not my favorite haha. Unsurprisingly, the Sunday morning brunch crowd was out in force. We managed to snag seats at the bar without waiting, just before it got too busy. Service was prompt and friendly, and the food was delicious. I really enjoyed the hippie hash with an over easy egg, and am so glad our server suggested I swap the greens out for Brussels sprouts. So tasty! The spicy Bloody Mary wasn't my preference of chili flavor, but that's definitely a personal thing. You might love it. Next time, I'll try the smoky or original Bloody Mary. My husband had the trio of hot cakes and was very happy with his plate of sugar and carbs. I tried a few bites and it was pretty dang good. read more

5/5 are normally a dime a dozen, but I'm happy to say it's truly deserved. My little family absolutely enjoyed everything we got and we all agreed that we would come back. The chilaquiles were delicious and I would order them again. Place was packed granted it was a Sunday and we were given a 35 minute wait time. Fortunately, tables were moving pretty fast and we got in around the 15 minute mark. Server was great and attentive to our needs even though he had tons of other tables to serve as well. The two hostesses at the front were friendly and efficient. Things were moving pretty fast due to the high turn over if tables but we didn't feel rushed which is always a plus. Overall decor of the place is really cute. Love the honeycomb wall in the back the and wall of pans by the front door. It's surprising how small this place is. They could easily buy the store next door and they'd still have a wait. Biggest thing for us is price vs quality of food. Now a days with other restaurants raising their prices and skimping out in quality or even quantity, this was not the case here. We left absolutely stuffed and satisfied. Both the burrito and chilaquiles had a good amount of meat and the amount of food for the kids meal for $8.50?! That's amazing. We will definitely return. read more

This place is a great alternative to Snooze without the long wait lines. However, it is a smaller restaurant so definitely get there early. They have a lot of southwestern inspired flavors and dishes such as churros, Chilaquiles, Tijuana Benedict, etc. I really enjoyed my veggie egg Benedict. The hollandaise sauce was not too overly heavy which I appreciated. The hash browns and warm churro bites were delicious too. Portions were generous. Went for brunch on a sunny Saturday morning. 9:20 seemed to be the perfect time, because after that it was slammed!!! I had a delicious dark roast coffee in a nice big mug that warmed my hands up. As a cocktail, I had the fruity cougar. It was fruity with that hint of kombucha at the end. For the main meal, I had the French'wich and it was absolutely everything I never knew I needed. It was sweet, salty, a little cheesy, and absolutely amazing. Filling it in syrup made it that much more delectable. We came here for brunch last minute and everything was delicious. I got the chilaquiles which was a large serving and so good! My friends got a side waffle, scrambled eggs, and the huevos rancheros. The portion sizing is fairly medium to large here and everything we got was great! I especially liked the pork in the chilaquiles! The service was fast and friendly as well. Overall it is a cute spot but be prepared to wait in line if you hit the brunch rush! We sat outdoors and it was a little hot but indoors was pretty loud. I heard conflicting opinions about this restaurant but I liked it. Let me just say that have never gotten my food so fast at a restaurant!! This kitchen must have the best operating system. Our waitress took our order and our food was at our table in less than 5 mins but it was all hot and fresh. Service was impeccable. Loud and busy but I'm not complaining. The food was tasty and good. I get why there are long wait times to eat here. I love that they have a wide variety of breakfast items. Sweet, savory, and everything in between. The green chile sauce is house made, and you can tell. I ordered the huevos rancheros which you can have vegetarian and they were phenomenal! Best huevos rancheros I've had the pleasure to eat. We're from out of town and we've come here for brunch on several occasions, but today was quite the experience with Yolanda our Hispanic waitress. It was most definitely a racist vibe from the start. She took our drink order for mimosas and didn't return for 30 mins( who wants to drink w/o food) I had to motion for her to come take our order. We placed our order, once we received our food order she never returned to check on us to refill our water or ask if we needed anything etc....Of course I let the manager know that our service was terrible. Checked this place out because it was on my Denver Passport Book. The inside was super cute, it had a bee hive modern type of vibe. The service was really nice and friendly. The restaurant was pretty busy for a Friday morning but we only had to wait for them to clean off a table to be seated. All the food options looked so yummy. We ended up getting the #denver, cordon wich, and huevos rancheros. All of the portions were huge and very tasty! I only finished about half my food and took the rest to go. When in year 1938, right in the middle of the Harlem Renaissance in Manhattan NYC an American dish was invented when club goers needed a food to fulfill their dinner / breakfast need. Wells Supper Club claims to have started selling this dish in the dusk of the Jazz Age. The waffle side by side with fried chicken? It was almost as revolutionary as the avocado toast. Chicken Waffles @hashTag as if is the most tasty chicken waffles I've ever had IRL. The chicken pieces are crispy and fried with chipotle honey butter. The bacon syrup is there for the dipping. The other menu items also look promising because anything chef Troy Guard touches turns into gold. Next time I will try some Hashivore, Adobo pork shoulder, and the limited availability Beef Birria. Other origin stories on chicken waffles dates back to Thomas Jefferson bringing back waffle irons from Amsterdam. But we like the NY story better because Chicken and Waffles is America in so many ways. read more

My friends and I wanted to try this place for brunch because of the aesthetics and the yellow interior. We did put in a reservation online but it was definitely more of a reserve your spot in line only to wait again. It's confusing when I get a text that says my table is ready. But when I show up, I still have to wait in line to check in (and get yelled my a rude female customer to get in the back of the line even though I got a text telling me my table is ready). For a place this small, there should be like two lines (those who showed up and those who put a reservation online) so customers don't encounter other rude customers who are unaware you got a text. If I still had to wait in line after receiving the text, the online reservation system should just be gone because it meant nothing. Now I am hangry from waiting another 30 minutes and dealing with that customer. The food was good overall but the getting in left a sour taste that I don't remember what the food tastes like. read more

Walking into Hashtag to pick up our to-go order, I immediately thought that it reminded me of a modern diner. It was bright with a yellow color scheme. The staff was friendly and they took care of our check and gave us our order promptly. As we were leaving, the line was forming for breakfast around 9:30 on a Saturday morning. We tried the chilaquiles, el jefe burrito, and pancake trio. The burrito was available as a bowl for a gluten free option so I got it that way with the tortilla on the side. It had adobo roasted pork shoulder, black beans, pickled onions, hash browns, pico, green chili salsa, soft scrambled eggs, and jack cheese, all of which made it sound like it would be great. When I took a bite that had the salsa or picked onions, it was good but the pork, beans, and potatoes were sorely underseasoned. The chilaquiles had more flavor than the burrito and the pancake trio toppings - blueberry, sea salt chocolate chip, caramel apple - were very good. We got the pancakes deconstructed so that they wouldn't get soggy and that was a good move given the number of toppings on each one. The pancakes themselves were just ok and I found a clump of undissolved flour in one of them. With a little more seasoning added to the food, this would be a five-star breakfast spot. read more

The wait for two people today was an hour. We totally expect a long wait, that's why we loved the online waitlist option, but if it's no longer an option, this might be our last visit (sad considering it was our go-to breakfast spot- often coming at least once a week). read more

The food was cold, the serving was small, and everything lacked taste. Breakfast is by far my favorite type of food and this place was SOOOO BAD.
