Probably the worst meal I've had in Denver. To begin, I had eggs bacon and hash browns. Nothing fancy. The presentation and serving size amounted to a Denny's breakfast but it cost $14.25. My wife got avocado toast which was basically a couple of slices of avocado dropped on untoasted bread. The end of the meal the check came with a 5% culinary contribution (fee) and a 1% embif fee (whatever that is). Then the bill added those fees on top of the food charges and applied a state tax to those fees. So you get taxed on being forced to pay the staff wages with the 5% charge. Then the payment device pre-selects 22% for the tip. So they expect 27% tip. Having read HashTag responses to other reviews, there is always some excuse like not enough servers or cooks. It is amazing how businesses get away with serving an overpriced garbage product and force the customer to pay the kitchen wages - that belongs to the owner. What's next? Are we going to be charged a fee to use a knife and fork -- maybe a cleaning fee? A fee for napkins? A fee for a seat with cushions? How about a fee just to open the front door and letting the cold air in? The overpriced and small portions of food. The lazy service. The charges passed to the customer... all result in one final outcome. Do not patronize Troy Guard restaurants. We could've gone to Dennys and paid half the price and gotten better food and service. This was beyond disappointing and I will make it my mission to discourage all friends and family from ever patronizing a Troy Guard restaurant. I will be filing complaints with BBB and the state AG for the egregious use of "fees" and then taxing the customer on fees. Something isn't right. Too many businesses are getting away with making the customer pay the business owners requirement to pay a living wage. read more

This used to be one of the best brunch restaurants in town - no more. I ordered the avocado toast, it used to come with mashed and seasoned avocados over multi grain toast with eggs and mixed greens. Today, it was simply a piece of toast with sliced avocado and eggs on top with a few tomatoes. My daughter ordered the sea salt, chocolate chip pancake, which used to be a light a fluffy chocolate chip pancake pancake with sea salt and extra chocolate chips on top, today it was a brick with some chocolate chips sprinkled on top. It's so disappointing that one of my favorite places has fallen so far. By the way, the prices still reflect what the restaurant used to be, it's definitely worth it now. read more

The food is so yummy and the portion sizes are hearty. I got the chilaquiles, which were delicious. My friends each got chicken and waffles which they devoured. I tried the Colorado Bloody Mary which was so good. My only recommendation is use the bacon to eat the pork off the top. My friend stored his pork in and then had trouble drinking it because the straw kept getting clogged. Staff was attentive and friendly. It's a fun location with different seating options. I ordered a salmon Benedict and it was good the salmon was a little salty. The michelada was served with modelo. I usually order them all over wherever I go. It was good just not my favorite haha. Unsurprisingly, the Sunday morning brunch crowd was out in force. We managed to snag seats at the bar without waiting, just before it got too busy. Service was prompt and friendly, and the food was delicious. I really enjoyed the hippie hash with an over easy egg, and am so glad our server suggested I swap the greens out for Brussels sprouts. So tasty! The spicy Bloody Mary wasn't my preference of chili flavor, but that's definitely a personal thing. You might love it. Next time, I'll try the smoky or original Bloody Mary. 5/5 are normally a dime a dozen, but I'm happy to say it's truly deserved. My little family absolutely enjoyed everything we got and we all agreed that we would come back. The chilaquiles were delicious and I would order them again. Place was packed granted it was a Sunday and we were given a 35 minute wait time. Fortunately, tables were moving pretty fast and we got in around the 15 minute mark. Server was great and attentive to our needs even though he had tons of other tables to serve as well. The two hostesses at the front were friendly and efficient. Things were moving pretty fast due to the high turn over if tables but we didn't feel rushed which is always a plus. Overall decor of the place is really cute. Love the honeycomb wall in the back the and wall of pans by the front door. It's surprising how small this place is. They could easily buy the store next door and they'd still have a wait. Biggest thing for us is price vs quality of food. Now a days with other restaurants raising their prices and skimping out in quality or even quantity, this was not the case here. We left absolutely stuffed and satisfied. Both the burrito and chilaquiles had a good amount of meat and the amount of food for the kids meal for $8.50?! That's amazing. We will definitely return. read more

I had quite a large catering order placed and the restaurant gave the a different delivery driver the wrong order. My delivery driver called me to try to sort it out but the GM refused to offer any assistance and asked "who is going to pay for it?" Very odd response given they were the ones responsible for the mix up. I've enjoyed meals here before but this experience has been a complete turn off. read more

Went for brunch on a sunny Saturday morning. 9:20 seemed to be the perfect time, because after that it was slammed!!! I had a delicious dark roast coffee in a nice big mug that warmed my hands up. As a cocktail, I had the fruity cougar. It was fruity with that hint of kombucha at the end. For the main meal, I had the French'wich and it was absolutely everything I never knew I needed. It was sweet, salty, a little cheesy, and absolutely amazing. Filling it in syrup made it that much more delectable. This place sucks. Horrible experience. We arrived during a regular Wednesday morning around 10. Not very busy at all, and after waiting a minute to be greeted, the host had an attitude when we asked to be seated at a booth. Upon being seated we waited a fair amount of time to have our menus brought, no big deal. What happened after that is the real issue- Server came back and took our orders for drinks- two coffees . She came back after a long wait with two mugs of coffee that were basically horrid. Burnt to all hell and bitter as can be. Not her fault, but nevertheless, they served it to us. She attempted to take our breakfast order only to see her tablet had died- she says oops I'll be right back... That was the last we saw of her. Over the next Eternity, I watched as she tended to another table, talked with the host, greeted a big party that entered (probably seeing dollar signs for tips) and proceeded to completely ignore us while she went along organizing tables together for the other party. Isn't that the host's job? Regardless, we were ignored altogether. It was at that point we had had enough, put a few dollars on the table for the terrible coffee we didn't drink , and left. We will NEVER be back. And I suggest you don't go there unless you want to waste your time. read more

This place is a great alternative to Snooze without the long wait lines. However, it is a smaller restaurant so definitely get there early. They have a lot of southwestern inspired flavors and dishes such as churros, Chilaquiles, Tijuana Benedict, etc. I really enjoyed my veggie egg Benedict. The hollandaise sauce was not too overly heavy which I appreciated. The hash browns and warm churro bites were delicious too. Portions were generous. We came here for brunch last minute and everything was delicious. I got the chilaquiles which was a large serving and so good! My friends got a side waffle, scrambled eggs, and the huevos rancheros. The portion sizing is fairly medium to large here and everything we got was great! I especially liked the pork in the chilaquiles! The service was fast and friendly as well. Checked this place out because it was on my Denver Passport Book. The inside was super cute, it had a bee hive modern type of vibe. The service was really nice and friendly. The restaurant was pretty busy for a Friday morning but we only had to wait for them to clean off a table to be seated. All the food options looked so yummy. We ended up getting the #denver, cordon wich, and huevos rancheros. All of the portions were huge and very tasty! I only finished about half my food and took the rest to go. When in year 1938, right in the middle of the Harlem Renaissance in Manhattan NYC an American dish was invented when club goers needed a food to fulfill their dinner / breakfast need. Wells Supper Club claims to have started selling this dish in the dusk of the Jazz Age. The waffle side by side with fried chicken? It was almost as revolutionary as the avocado toast. Chicken Waffles @hashTag as if is the most tasty chicken waffles I've ever had IRL. The chicken pieces are crispy and fried with chipotle honey butter. The bacon syrup is there for the dipping. The other menu items also look promising because anything chef Troy Guard touches turns into gold. Next time I will try some Hashivore, Adobo pork shoulder, and the limited availability Beef Birria. Other origin stories on chicken waffles dates back to Thomas Jefferson bringing back waffle irons from Amsterdam. But we like the NY story better because Chicken and Waffles is America in so many ways. read more

I heard conflicting opinions about this restaurant but I liked it. Let me just say that have never gotten my food so fast at a restaurant!! This kitchen must have the best operating system. Our waitress took our order and our food was at our table in less than 5 mins but it was all hot and fresh. Service was impeccable. Loud and busy but I'm not complaining. The food was tasty and good. This is a fun brunch spot in Central Park! I love the scrambles and pancakes! It's cute inside and they have fresh squeezed orange juice!

My friends and I wanted to try this place for brunch because of the aesthetics and the yellow interior. We did put in a reservation online but it was definitely more of a reserve your spot in line only to wait again. It's confusing when I get a text that says my table is ready. But when I show up, I still have to wait in line to check in (and get yelled my a rude female customer to get in the back of the line even though I got a text telling me my table is ready). For a place this small, there should be like two lines (those who showed up and those who put a reservation online) so customers don't encounter other rude customers who are unaware you got a text. If I still had to wait in line after receiving the text, the online reservation system should just be gone because it meant nothing. Now I am hangry from waiting another 30 minutes and dealing with that customer. The food was good overall but the getting in left a sour taste that I don't remember what the food tastes like. read more

Walking into Hashtag to pick up our to-go order, I immediately thought that it reminded me of a modern diner. It was bright with a yellow color scheme. The staff was friendly and they took care of our check and gave us our order promptly. As we were leaving, the line was forming for breakfast around 9:30 on a Saturday morning. We tried the chilaquiles, el jefe burrito, and pancake trio. The burrito was available as a bowl for a gluten free option so I got it that way with the tortilla on the side. It had adobo roasted pork shoulder, black beans, pickled onions, hash browns, pico, green chili salsa, soft scrambled eggs, and jack cheese, all of which made it sound like it would be great. When I took a bite that had the salsa or picked onions, it was good but the pork, beans, and potatoes were sorely underseasoned. The chilaquiles had more flavor than the burrito and the pancake trio toppings - blueberry, sea salt chocolate chip, caramel apple - were very good. We got the pancakes deconstructed so that they wouldn't get soggy and that was a good move given the number of toppings on each one. The pancakes themselves were just ok and I found a clump of undissolved flour in one of them. With a little more seasoning added to the food, this would be a five-star breakfast spot. read more

She took our drink order for mimosas and didn't return for 30 mins( who wants to drink w/o food) I had to motion for her to come take our order. We placed our order, once we received our food order she never returned to check on us to refill our water or ask if we needed anything etc....Of course I let the manager know that our service was terrible.
