3.75 My husband and I decided to pick up some burgers from Hat Creek. We pulled up to the drive thru and placed our order. We then drove up to the drive thru window and waited. For our order we got 2 Little Hat Burgers, 2 Fried Chicken Sandwiches, and 4 Fries. We also requested several sauces. We also ordered some milkshakes but their machine was down so unfortunately no milkshakes on this visit. The fries were okay. I like the flavor of them but they were mostly soggy and soft. I found a few crispy fries which I appreciated. The burger I got was the Little Hat. It comes with a meat patty, lettuce, tomato, onions, pickles, cheese, and mustard. I got my burger without cheese. The burger was okay. The bun was a soft. The meat patty was good. The other ingredients were okay. Plenty of onions and decent lettuce, tomatoes, pickles. Overall it was an okay place to get burgers and fries. Easy and fast drive thru experience. I was a little disappointed that the milkshake machine wasn't working but hopefully it will be working next time. read more

Definitely a place for families with young children. The beer was good and it was cold. The chicken nuggets were ok and nothing to order again. The Salt Lick burger was somewhat flavorful. Today it was very loud and chaotic with numerous children unmanaged. Clearly this is successful as a family restaurant with very economical pricing and quality consistent with the pricing. read more

I love Hat Creek. I have many food, allergies and HatCreek has healthy food that makes it easy for me to enjoy. I went to the drive-through at this establishment and picked up a plethora of meals and brought them to my son's house for a family lunch. I got a turkey burger on a lettuce wrap, which was amazing. My granddaughter got the child's meal with the burger and she just loves getting that apple juice! My husband and my daughter-in-law, both got a tiny hat customized to their own personal preferences. My daughter-in-law loves their sweet potato fries. It was indeed a celebration, and it was quite fun to spreading the HatCreek all over the dining room table. This restaurant is clean, attractive and inviting. The service was great, and our order was prepared perfectly. They even had a milk bone for my beautiful fur baby. Everyone was very kind. The drive-through line moved at an exceptional pace, which is nice because we were in drive-through because we're in a hurry. The prices are quite reasonable. I'm not sure why people have to be so picky about reviewing these days. Hat creek is a simple burger company (I mean this respectfully). We've come several times and have no complaints. If an order was messed up they honored that. They always work quickly. My only suggestion for management was the last 2 times we ate there the tables were sticky but we came on a Sunday after church. OK, please read.. I have done a Hat Creek review in the past at a different location. My experience at the other location was not great to say the least. This location on the other hand is great. We eat here a lot. Probably once a month atleast. The service is great and the food is always great. "Well" one time my burger was a little dry, but that was once out of 20 times. Still ate it. Flashers On Reasonably new location in Dripping Springs where even during this pandemic still exploring different local eateries. I have had Hat Creek Burger Company before so know what to expect. With mask on I noticed this location is designed well where you order once you walk inside, find a place to sit and then wait to hear your order get called. There is both inside and patio seating along with a small playground for the kids. The place was very clean and some tables blocked off. There's a drive thru and plenty of parking. I don't eat cow anymore so selected the 6 Piece Flasher Combo with Tater Tots and selected a canned beer for my drink. My wife ordered a burger with fries. Soon our order was ready and the packaging was very eco friendly. The chicken pieces were real cuts of chicken and tasted delicious. It was a perfect match for my Karbach beer. The tots were a blessing too. Great atmosphere to hangout to eat and drink. read more

This place was recommended for a great hamburger, so I was in the area and stopped in. It's somewhat of a drag to stand in-line to order, but it flowed quickly. The cashier was pleasant and informative about the beer and menu selections. Always helpful on a first time visit. We elected to sit inside and enjoy our very delicious burgers, cooked to perfection with all the fixin's. The fries were actually amazing, just the right crispness. Two stars overall for Hat Creek. This review covers breakfast first; their tacos are decent and easy drive thru grub. AND, they remained open while Torchy's abandoned all it's breakfast customers during the pandemic. I would drive in and take home a couple of sausage, egg, and cheese tacos. I don't think the order was ever incorrect; decent salsa too. Here's where things go down hill for HC. It's OVERPRICED. Please don't think of this as an overwhelming endorsement for Burger King, but using the app gets you two burgers, two fries, and two drinks for under $10. Yes, Hat Creek has better food but is it worth $10 more? I mean we're talking the same basic recipe; burger patty, bun, cheese (if desired), and veggies. Oh, and who puts sauerkraut on a burger? Reuben sammich yes, burger no. GF and I dined in the other day. Service was pleasant, food again I'm wondering why I'm paying $10 more versus BK down the street. I recently came here for a milkshake and was surprisingly disappointed with the quality and flavor. They do have several very nice options, which looking back I wish I'd tried something else, however the strawberry milkshake tasted of sickly sweet strawberry syrup and was a disappointment compared to pretty much every other strawberry milkshake I've had. 0/10 I do think the facility is very nice, as they offer both indoor and covered outdoor seating and the location features an outdoor play area for children and children-at-heart. You order in line and are able to select any of the seating, as you receive a table number to display. Once your food is ready, they will deliver it to your table, however you do fill your own drinks similar to other fast food chains. All in all, I found the ordering to be very easy. 8/10 I would be willing to visit agin and try a different flavor of milkshake as well as give the burgers a try, however I cannot recommend the strawberry milkshake. Definitely disappointed but again, this review is solely based on the strawberry milkshake and overall facility. Poor value/Good play area. The food was average quality and over priced. The Big Hat Combo came with a double meat burger, seasoned fries and a soft drink. The burger was fine - meat, cheese, lettuce, tomato, pickles, white bun. It was nothing special. Seasoned fries were tasty. At $10.5 for the combo I think I could have had similar quality from Whataburger for 20-30% less. My wife's salad, also $10, was the size and price of a steakhouse side salad. The difference being in a steakhouse I would have a white table cloth and a waiter filling my water glass. The play land was clean and well maintained. I noticed that the online menu does not have prices listed. It ended up being a bit pricey. The food is good, but I still prefer Smash Burger (sad that there aren't any more in Austin but I digress). Anyone who has kiddos that need to let them loose and eat this is the place. Great idea for families. We came here after a long day out and our toddler needed to run out some energy and we needed to eat something. So we got the best of both worlds. Food is pretty good. Burgers are great and easy when you need to feed kids that are running around. Staff is extremely friendly. What else can you ask for. If you do not have kids or don't like them get your food to go. You will be very overwhelmed and stressed out. My only negative thing I have to say and this isn't anything against Hat Creek it's about the parents. Don't let your kids be jerks. Watch them just because they have a play structure doesn't mean you stop paying attention to them. If you have older kids don't let them be mean to smaller kids. Clean your trash and your kids trash. Hat Creek was one stop with my ex-coworker on our monthly food venue tours around South and Southwest Austin. Hat Creek has a fantastic outdoor patio and a great playscape for kids. No kidding. So great, I was jealous of the kiddos. The first thing I'll say is that the menu seems simple at first, but I found it hard to put together the burger I wanted from the options provided. One tip is that you can make any of the featured "double" burgers a "single" just by asking. So, yes, I ordered a Single Hat Sombrero with sweet potato fries. It takes awhile to get your food here, but we had the buffer of conversation to kill the time. I wouldn't go here in a rush, though. The folks at the drive-thru looked like they were waiting a good long time. The burgers were okay, but expensive for what they were. It's basically Burger King with a price/options uplift. The sweet potato fries were perfection, no regrets there. The real downer of the place was the flies. Not just outside on the patio and playscape, but INSIDE the restaurant. I hate eating while fighting flies. For this reason, if you eat here, I totally recommend getting your food to go. Honestly, of the places to eat at this shopping center in Belterra, I'd say pass on this one. Just not enough going for it, unless you have kiddos to keep entertained while you eat. It's a step up from your run-of-the-mill fast food joint, and is known for their burgers. My friends all loved their beef but I opted for their chicken sandwich this time. My review is based upon the veggie burger/gluten free bun-- All I can eat as far as burgers. I personally don't like their veggie burgers and think they are way tooo mushy. I wish they would redo the formula and maybe use a fuax meat instead. Black bean burgers are hard to come by and honestly they normally are not good because they fall apart. I do love me some tator tots though.. but I can do them every now and then since they are 500 calories on their own lol. They are gf and I have never had a tummy issue eating them. The place is small and gets super packed at lunch-- but the customer service has always been great. Customers never wear a mask to save their life--- it's the area-- but the employees do. You can tell that it makes the employees uncomfortable that people come into this small space without wearing a mask and so I do my part and wear one. With that said, when in this area its not a bad option since they are a much healthier version of Fast food than Mcdowals and Whataburger. I do love their transparency on their menu and I dig their message/value. But hat creek can you please redo your veggie burgers? I guess people get it with cheese and that makes the difference-- but a good veggie burger shouldn't need cheese. read more
