Didn't come with enough chips but was tasty enough to enjoy on its own. Entrees: Ropa vieja - beef brisket pulled apart very easily. Savory sauce. Chimichurri steak - steak was a little bit chewy, even with the medium rare cook. Good dipping sauce. Plantain crusted cod - very flaky. Very refreshing cilantro lime drizzle. My personal cod was a tad bit over cooked and tougher but my mom's was cooked perfectly, so I'll reserve my concern. As far as the potion sizes goes, the entrees here were more than filling. Super fun and cute brunch spot. They are currently doing outdoor only but theres music next door and the vibes are great. They have bottomless in the morning and give you two options. We ordered their mojito option and got both watermelon and passion fruit. I definitely liked watermelon more! I went with the Croque Cubano which was a bit tough to eat. The bread was definitely getting cold fast and since it is a crispy sandwich, when it got cold it was hard to eat. Either way, super great place to catch up and sit with friends. Been here a few times. Food is good. However recently got food poisoning from a birthday brunch my and my team had here and the owner was really rude. After being told that my name and number was written down and that someone will contact me four days later, I had to call again and spoke with the owner. The first thing that came out of his mouth was the fact that he claims to have done research and that he had been in business for 22 years and they have served multiple items that we had that day and no one else complained and that it must've came from my household. We spent over $350 here and tipped our waitress $100 in cash in on card. Mistakes happen in restaurants and people are not perfect, but ultimately the lack of accountability and the gaslighting of the blame game put back on a customer in tone of ego was definitely disheartening. Not sure if the owner looked back on the cameras and seen that we were a group of black girls. I also am someone who eats out a lot as far as hanging out with friends and getting out, so I'm always recommending places and I recommended this place to a lot of people who do come here. Being told that the only thing you can do is give a gift certificate and welcome me back. It's crazy being that me and three other people spent 2 1/2 almost 3 days in the hospital sick. You can't get Cuban coffee beans bc of the embargo, but not only that, Cuban coffee is a style, not the bean. Platanos were over cooked, the beans were more Mexican style than Cuban. On a recent meet-up for a dinner, our friends suggested Havana since they had a large outdoor dining parklet that would be perfect for al fresco dining on a nice Walnut Creek evening. Located on Bonanza St in downtown Walnut Creek parking was easy at a large structure a block away. As a Cuban restaurant, the menu consists of mainly tapas with two salads and seven entrees. I opted for the Puerco Cubano, which was shredded roasted pork shoulder, roasted chayote and purple potatoes, pickled vegetables with a jalapeno-cilantro salsa with three tortillas. You build tacos with the pork, pickled vegetables and salsa. The dish was tasty. But felt it was a little on the pricey side. I tried the Mango spinach salad with seared ahi tuna. The salad had avocados, mango salsa and queso fresco. The ahi was nicely seared and the salad was light and fresh. We enjoyed the outdoor dining and our waiter was friendly and provided great service. A nice restaurant for Cuban fare. read more

Havana was so good! I had their brunch with bottomless mimosas! They only serve bottomless on the weekends starting at 10am till 2:30pm, there is a 90 minute limit on those. They have patio, indoor, and bar seating. It can fit a party of 10-15, I felt like we took all one side of the restaurant, so reservations would be a good idea. I had the Plantain French Toast- I would suggest getting this- Custard soaked French Bread, Zaya Rum-Brown Sugar glazed Maduros, Spiced Pecans! My kids got the Shrimp Po'Boy, and my hubby got the Steak and Eggs- Chimichurri steak, Fried Eggs, Yucca Fries, with Carmelized Onion! I've been here many times. Pricey but hey it's WC, what do you expect? You can't find taco truck prices here. Nevertheless, the dishes are good. I must say though the last time I was here we ordered tuna appetizer and it was fishy. Other than that, everything I've ordered here is good. Their jalapeño drinks are strong - spicy. If you don't like spicy this drink is not for you. I love their plantain chips, so addicting. I love the churros. Ceviche is though I believe depending on the day the meat differs. I must warn you, if you come here dinner time during winter - spring/autumn(windy days), dress warm because it gets windy and cold at the outside seating REGARDLESS of the heater. It would be comfortable for customers if they add more heater stands. I remember coming here one time and one of the tables hugged one of the heaters stands leaving the tables around cold and uncomfortable we ended up not enjoying our food - it got cold so fast and how can we enjoy when we were shivering. Walked in on a Saturday mid afternoon. The environment was nice. There was music playing, groups of people eating. We were led to our table. We Ordered drinks. We settled on mojitos.
