Came here the other day for my first outdoor dining experience during the pandemic. I called a few minutes before opening, and they said that they had some early uncovered seating, meaning it wasn't under the shade. Not a big deal since it was a cloudy day, but definitely try to make a reservation in advance! When we got there, everyone was wearing a mask and they sat parties as far from each other as they can at the time. There was also hand sanitizer by the host station. Our table was ready right away, and had a beautiful view of the city. The view is definitely the highlight of this restaurant! We ordered three appetizers and half a dozen Pacific oysters. As you can see in the photo, these oysters were the perfect size! Not fishy at all, and very crisp. The shrimp tempura crispy rice bites are definitely a favorite -- a unique Asian-fusion addition to the menu. The lobster croquettes didn't wow me, they tasted reminiscent of fried mac n cheese bites, but were filling. The short rib bruschetta was surprisingly my favorite appetizer (came here previously and always loved the shrimp tempura bites). The blackberry créme perfectly blended with the rest of the flavors, adding dimension to the dish. Would definitely recommend! They have deals throughout the day/week such as sunset prix fixe on weekdays from 5-7, happy hour from 5-8, and weekend brunch. I'll be back to try all of these deals one day! read more

my husband an i found the food great and service excellent. The Lamb and duck were great. However, i only gave the resturant three stars because i requested an outside table and the wine list was misleading. It appears only a select group get to sit outside which is verified by a number of yelp reviews where outside seating was requested and denied. The wine list offed a wine we liked Santa Margarita. The wine list showed two prices which we thought was the price by the glass and bottle. Actually it was by a 6 or 9 oz glass and the cost of the bottle was not included until the check came. We definitely missed the 6&9 oz option. our fault we missed it. However, it should have included the price of the bottle after the price per glass. Doing so would avoid the unexpected $47 charged at the end of the meal. read more

Very cool and tranquil atmosphere. Food was very flavorful. I started with the pork belly which had great flavor I just felt it could have been braised a little longer before frying it (I believe it was crispy from being fried). Again it had great flavor and did not disappoint. I had the French cut chicken with a coconut curry sauce which was outstanding. The best part of my visit was the service. Anna was my waitress and was very warm and friendly and a pleasure to interact with. She was the epitome of professional and friendly service. Came here for our anniversary dinner and definitely recommend it! We started with the chicken spring rolls and they are incredible. The Lobster Pappardelle was absolutely delicious and the desert flight tasting was a great way to top off the evening. The Haven old fashioned made with Penelope Bourbon is am absolute treat! Our server was attentive and on top of things all night. One small complaint was that they took away our silverware a bit too fast and left us without a knife for my fiancés steak. View wise I don't think there is a single bad seat if you sit outside based on the location across from the city. I definitely recommend for a date night or celebratory dinner. read more

HAVEN was at the top of my Yelp list when looking for a lunch spot for my anniversary. Well I think this was the best choice we could have made. We were seated on the outdoor patio and had beautiful views of the water and city. It was a staple fall day and the weather thankfully was forgiving. Ok- I will say this once. You need to get the truffle Mac and cheese. Yes, need. It is absolutely delicious and if you think you can have just one bite you're wrong. The cheese to pasta ratio was perfection. Anything truffle is exquisite but this appetizer really hit the nail on the head. Yum! I had the spicy fried chicken sandwich which was also stunning. The chicken was cooked just how I like and tossed just lightly in the spicy sauce. Delish! The burger was equal parts beautiful and delicious! My partner was satisfied as it was cooked perfectly. If you are looking to impress your date, friend or family then bring them to this waterfront restaurant on Edgewater at sunset. We experienced the beautiful views of Manhattan during the day and evening and I can't decide which was more beautiful. The staff here is friendly, inviting and helpful. Valet parking is available for $6. The restaurant is clean and spacious and both the indoor and outdoor dining offer spectacular views and ambiance. One of my favorite things about Haven is they offer 7 different menus including a vegetarian menu so it was easy to find the dishes I liked. We had the pho, burrata, dumplings and bruschetta - all so delicious - and we managed to still eat the dessert that the manager Jay brought out for us! They also make the best lychee martinis! Came here for me and my boyfriends anniversary It was really good! We live right down the street and i never recognized this place but I'm glad i did now! We ordered the shrimp tempera and lobster risotto croquettes. The croquettes were "okay" my boyfriend really liked them but i felt they were too doughy or just needed to me cooked longer . The shrimp tempura was delicious!! For dinner my man ordered the salmon and it was delicious! The broccolini along with it was very good and the garlic spinach. Only giving 4 stars because the desserts were just Ok. All were included in the Prex Fixed menu and my short ribs were just OK. They were a bit on the dry side for my liking. My best friend and I went out on a weekday for brunch, and the restaurant we had picked was closed and fortunately, our only choice was Haven. going to eat there was the best decision ever! The service was excellent 10/10, the staff was so friendly and so courteous that we felt at home(shout out to Santos). The atmosphere was impecable and super chic with the decor being top tier. We came here for brunch on an anniversary trip. I was a little surprised that on a weekend morning, it wasn't busier but I recognize the location is somewhat hard to get to. The staff were all very nice and the restaurant did have very nice views of the New York City skyline. I ordered the French toast and was a tiny bit disappointed. It was good, but lacked flavor. I was hoping for more from the sauce. My boyfriend ordered a burger and was happy with it, but has similar thoughts. The price was fair for the location and ambiance. Girls night/ birthday celebration was a success! We made reservations and good thing too because within 20 minutes all outdoor tables were fully seated. The outdoor area with views of the city is gorgeous! The atmosphere casual and relaxed with a touch of glam. You can choose to dress up or not. The restaurant would be great for date night, girls night or even just a nice treat yourself meal. Speaking of meal, now lets talk about the food....ummm Amazing! Each dish better than the next, the only reason why I am taking off a star is because I thought the appetizers were portioned too small. It should be more of a half a star really. My husband and I celebrated our 8th watching anniversary here. When he made the reservation he requested a table near the window so we could enjoy the perfect view and get some great photos. The person he spoke with said they would put it in the notes, however there's a chance that someone might move us. They also mentioned the view is great no matter where you sit in the restaurant. That's certainly not true because there are tables in the restaurant that are not close to the window or the side that faces the water. We didn't understand why they told us that on the phone. And to our surprise that's what happen when we arrived. Our table was about 5 tables away from the window. My husband was a little ticked off because of making the request in advance and yet we weren't near the window. We could see the beautiful skyline view, however we wouldn't be able to get pictures being so far away. I noticed that all the window tables sat parties of 3 or more people. There was one table that had 2 people near the window and they were almost done eating so we asked if we could move to that table and we were able to. So we did end up getting the table we wanted but had to go through a lot to get it. My husband had the cast iron pan seared Rib Eye Steak and it was cooked just as requested and bursting with flavor. His loaded mashed Yukon potatoes were well seasoned, lots of cheese and the consistency was good. I enjoyed the pretzel crusted calamari for my appetizer. The crust was so delicious and you receive a good portion of calamari and it was tender. I like that it was all calamari and didn't have peppers like some places give. The aioli was sooooooo good I wanted to purchase some just to take back home . The only dish that was disappointing was the lobster Mac and cheese. It didn't taste like they used the right cheese for the dish and the menu doesn't tell you what type of cheese. It was a very funky tasting kind of cheese. What I mean by funky is like blue cheese. Not that that's what it was but if you've eaten blue cheese that should give you an idea of "funky." So I didn't finished that dish. For my main dish i enjoyed the Alantic Bakkafrost Salmon.  It was delicious, the salmon was slightly overcooked but it still very delicious, the menu said that the dish was supposed to have broccoli rabe but I received broccolini instead which I actually prefer over broccoli rabe.  Egg pappardelle noodles were cooked just right. Much better than most egg noodles I've had. They were nice and al dente not overcooked at all. The dashi bonito sauce paired perfectly with the Salmon, noodles and veggies. The dish was very filling too. Don't let the size of the fish fool you. It's a nice thick piece so once you start digging into it wants the noodles you fill up. The brussel sprouts were delicious but I wish they were cut in half once more, just a little smaller. They were pretty big. For dessert we shared the brownie topped with ice cream and that was very good. I love the combination of the warm brownie mixing with the cold ice cream. The staff was friendly, warm, attentive. Gave us our space and didn't keep visiting our table while we were enjoying our meal. They knew when it was time to come over and spruce things up for us. I really love that about a great restaurant. We got some really great photos at the end of the night, inside and outside the restaurant. read more

I joined my husband on his business trip to Edgewater and immediately knew we needed to have dinner here. This is an impressive restaurant with gorgeous Hudson views and exceptional and knowledgeable service! Our server was amazing and had great recommendations. My husband and I both loved our appetizers. The shrimp tempura rice bites were out of this world and definitely a must order! The truffle mac and cheese was tasty but definitely on the small side for the price. Our entrees were also amazing. The miso broth with the sea bass was some of the best broth I've ever had and the sea bass was perfectly cooked. My husbands short ribs also had great flavor and were so tender. I wasn't crazy about the brownie for dessert but the gelato it came with was delicious. Overall it was a great evening and I'm sad we are just visiting as this would definitely be one of our regular spots if we were locals. Definitely a five for the ambiance! The Ad Decor meet Modern theme overlooking Hudson Bay!..what's not to like? After a hard day fighting NYC traffic, it was just the serenity the doctor ordered. The staff were welcoming without being peskily ever present. We were able to enjoy or delightful drinks and meals without much interruption. I ordered the seafood and my husband got the prime rib entree. Both were well plated, right portion(I still had over half my entree to go). The appetizer which was the shrimp was so so good!
