This morning I needed my cup of Joe to start my day . Came across this particular Caffe located inside the lobby of the Ohana East hotel . Hawaiian Aroma Caffe prices are very reasonable for Waikiki . They also have a staircase that leads down to the ground level on Kaiulani Ave. The staff here is very friendly and efficient. They also sell Açaí bowls along with breakfast sandwiches, croissants and cereals. Support local

Wanted to try a new place today and found this place on Yelp. One of several locations this one is located at the Ohana Waikiki East. After climbing a flight of colorful painted steps we looked around and decided our first step was to grab the first table that opened up. The place was busy and full mostly with tourists which we could tell from the style of hair, tats and aloha shirts. I liked the "aloha" vibe which was fun and relaxed with greenery. They serve an assortment of waffles, sandwiches, açaí bowls, baked goods and coffee drinks and smoothies. If you want a traditional bacon and eggs with Portuguese sausage you have one option, The Morning Feast. Otherwise you can get the Sunnyside waffle which my friend got. It comes with eggs, bacon, toast, orange slices and a purple orchid from Thailand to make it look Hawaiian. I was disappointed they did not have the salmon Benedict or any of the Benedicts listed on their menu which they said was only served at a different location. My plan B was the Açaí waffle which like all the other dishes in the photos looked colorful and nicely plated. The little scoop of açaí and berries on top were fine but I was disappointed in the waffle which was slightly undercooked and a little too doughy for me. I like my waffles a little more crisp on the outside and to be able to cut them with a fork. We had to wait a while for the food and my friend was just about getting hangry when it arrived. Maybe they were rushing in the kitchen? Honestly for locals you can get better breakfast for the same price elsewhere especially since parking is $6 for 4 hours WITH validation unless you wanna do other stuff in Waikiki. 4 stars for friendly but short staffed? service 4 stars for fun casual ambiance 3.5 stars for food

The pizza and the coffee were delicious, but I wouldn't come here again only because the music was too loud. I like to go in, have coffee at an establishment, relax, and talk. I know they sell alcohol, and maybe at night the music could be louder, and during the daytime it could be softer. When I asked if it was always loud, the lady working inside told me, "Yes, it's always loud."

Very cute coffee shop up a beautifully painted set of stairs with plenty of food options! Got the morning feast which was a classic American breakfast with sausage, crispy bacon, toast, eggs, and a side salad, the tropical breeze acai bowl without papaya, and a caramel machiatto. The acai bowl was perfect. I got it to go and it was still nice and frozen when I got back home. It was sweet, tart, and refreshing. They were also great with allergies! I'm allergic to papaya and they made note of it and were very attentive to make sure it had no papaya. The coffee was also very flavorful and strong. I was worried it'd be too sweet from the reviews since I don't typically drink super sweet drinks, but I thought the coffee flavor came through really well.

Opened right at 6 and serving go go juice. Service was friendly yet still waking up. Ambiance was good It was nice till a crowd of kids showed up louder than a car crash. Had to leave the chill vibe disappeared it a blink. Otherwise it seemed nice. Coffee was good. Average price.

I only ordered a cappuccino and it was rather disappointing. It had wayyyy too foam and the milk overshadowed the taste of the coffee. Since this place has pretty high ratings, I'll give them the benefit of the doubt that this was a rare miss.

What a great spot for breakfast. We arrived and were greeted quickly, served even more quickly and completed our delicious meal so we could be on our way to the beach. We ordered a coffee and a Bloody Mary. Both were spectacular. We then grabbed the big breakfast meal and a croissant with salad and a fruit bowl. All were amazing. The decor is so cute and the place is very spacious and clean. The staff is very friendly and I would recommend .

This is a beautiful location and an easy walk from almost any point mid strip. Unfortunately, it wasn't what I was hoping it would be. We ordered the traditional waffle with a Carmel macchiato. The best part about the waffle was the fresh fruit - berries and bananas. The waffle was thick and lacked flavor. Similar taste to be pre-made/ bought waffle. The caramel macchiato was too sweet. Definitely recommend for cute photo op or a little nook to get the day started.

I have randomly stumbled into this while walking on the streets of Hawaii, and I have never regretted my choice of wanting to eat there. It has amazing coffee and lots of asai bowl choices, if you are looking for those. Nice tables to sit at, and pleasant people working there. Very cute! The bowls themselves were big and delicious, but a little pricey

Quite cute but cold inside but the spot is cute and cozy. There's all sorts of stickers and souvenirs you can buy. I liked the hot drinks and hot breakfast. My partner really liked the açaí bowl! It wasn't too sweet and there was plenty fruit. The staff are helpful, friendly, and very knowledgeable about their products so as to make good recommendations! Loved it and it's a great spot to wake up at, too!

This place is cute! Their coffee has a strong coffee flavor -- not anything that's noticeably watered down. We got their cappuccino and iced white mocha, both with oat milk, and both equally delicious. The presentation of their açaí bowls is par none, and delectable. The açaí bowls do run a bit sweet, but they pack them with fruit so that's expected. We'll be back!

Cute little hidden spot. They have a variety of coffee, tea and smoothies. Also have some breakfast options. The service is great. The staff is very friendly. They also have free WiFi

Not sure what's the hype about this place! Came to get a quick bite for breakfast. The line was long and moved quite slowly too! I think I waited about 20 mins to place my order, luckily food came quickly after ordering. I ordered a traditional waffles (which is just a regular waffle with little fruit on top) and a original acia bowl, came out was 25 dollars!!! I understand it's located at the tourist area, but it's way overpriced for what you got! The waffle is just a regular size waffle with some banana and strawberry on top! And I had better acia bowl before for bigger the size too. It's a cute place though if you don't mind to pay for the higher price.

It was our first time dining here last night (7/11) and what a gem of a restaurant! Chris was our…read moreserver and let us know the specials of the day. He described everything with such care that it was hard not to order everything! I'd highly recommend a reservation as there was not an empty table the entire two hours we were there. The restaurant is on the smaller side so it can get quite loud but our table had great conversations and a overall lovely time. Appetizer: We ordered the konpachi hush puppies (apologies, they had a nicer name but this is how they were described to us) and they were delicious! I'm not a lover of fish, but these were so flavorful and the sauce paired perfectly with it. Drinks: I had the meringue di cedri to drink and it was akin to a lemon drop (10/10) it was sippable and lasted my whole meal. Husband had the Hana Koa Rice Breaker, which is one of his favorites as its smooth and pairs well with honestly anything. Entree: You will be missing out if you don't get the lemon risotto. I ordered it with the prosciutto and it may be one of the best meals I've had in Hawaii. The zucchini is done two ways in it: diced to be mixed in with the risotto and thinly sliced and grilled on top of the risotto. The panko crumbs on top really solidified the plate for me as top tier as risotto can get to be boring to eat after a few bites as they can lack texture, but not this risotto! Every bite was a journey and it was a very filling meal. My husband ordered the Korean steak and said it was better than some of the local steakhouses we had gone to. Our friend ordered the spaghetti carbonara and enjoyed it as well. Dessert: We were encouraged to try the Rocky Road ice cream and decided it was a must have when you visit. It was creamy, rich and delectable. We also opted to try the dessert special of the evening which was a Lilikoi cheesecake with a chocolate mousse. The cheesecake had a sour tang to it and the chocolate mousse partner with it to balance it out so it wasn't overly sweet. We loved it and I know in a few days we'll be craving this meal all over again!

France meets Italy - meets Hawaii. I'm still dreaming of this. The burger features a thick, juicy, 8-ounce grass-fed patty made from a custom house-selected blend of short rib, chuck roast, and brisket. Get it with the crispy potatoes. You will thank me. Risotto on point. Luxuriously rich, creamy texture. The rice retains a slight al dente bite in the center, giving it structure rather than letting it become mushy. Prosciutto adds a perfect salty, savory crunch to break up the rich risotto. The only misstep was the fries served with the quinoa burger. They were chalky, served at room temperature, limp, and underseasoned. Excellent friendly informal service. Park at the municipal parking on Bethel St just 1/2 block away. Happy Eating!!

Honey drizzle which wasn't too sweet...or maybe I just ate the parts that didn't have. Baby ate almost 1.5 pieces and even liked the Jalapeno Butter that I just dabbed on her bread. She said wasn't spicy but think she just didn't have enough. - Bone Marrow - lit it on fire to burn off the alcohol. Pretty sure it ddin't get it all so I cut baby off once I realized it. Other than needing some salt, really good. Choke mushrooms on top. One half was scrawny, but hubs had the other half for leftovers and choke marrow. YUM. - Sunchoke and Brussels - YUM. Baby ate some but was not really thrilled about it. I loved it. - Scallop and Mushroom Risotto - YUM. Delish. Baby liked it too. So much leftovers of everything. Realized when we ate it for leftovers it was all pretty oily and needed a pinch of salt. But otherwise great. Staff really nice and helpful. Love that the place is spread out and open. Bathrooms are not assigned which I'm sure can get gross, but is great to not have to wait for just the women's. There is a big stall which was perf since baby is potty training and had to go #1 and #2! Only thing missing was a hook to hang my purse and her bag. The smoked octopus was sliced in pieces that were too thick and a little too chewy and the andouille sausage and black pepper overpowered the dish. Ordered the bourbon and bone marrow mostly for the presentation. It was WAAAY too rich and needed more bread to go with it. They should've served it with bread that wasn't buttered because the buttered bread even though tasty by itself was just too rich in combination with all of that bone marrow. The dish needed more balance. The ice cream sundae was unremarkable. Would have preferred it served with a choice of hot fudge or the caramel drizzle and since it was plain vanilla ice cream they could've drizzled a lot more caramel over it. The waitress did bring us more nuts when we asked, but they were busy at the time and she was the only server so it took her a while to get to us, and the ice cream was pretty melted by the time she delivered. We got there when they opened at 5 PM and they had two servers at that time. The place wasn't busy so it seemed like they had enough help for the amount of tables that were being seated. An hour and a half later, though, one server was missing (possibly taking a lunch break) and the only server remaining at several big parties to take care of which slowed down her responsiveness to the other smaller tables like ours. The music playing in the background seemed to fit the environment and was pleasant to listen to. It's a pretty casual atmosphere. The prices for what you get are a bit on the high end. Probably wouldn't go back unless someone else is paying. We didn't feel too bad this time because we had a gift certificate which covered most of our bill. Maybe we were choosing all the wrong items and should have just stuck to ordering meat dishes, which they might be better at making (with a name like Livestock). You'll have to check this place out yourself and see if they do a better job with meat and if the prices for those dishes are more reasonable. I gave this place four stars instead of three because the servers were friendly, the atmosphere was pleasant, and the food was mostly okay (tasty enough and filling).

I'd never been to their other locations, so this was my first experience -- and honestly, it left an impression. That spot in Kapolei has seen a few restaurants come and go over the years. Before Scratch Kitchen, there was Sugar Cane, and if I reach far enough back, I'm pretty sure a Mexican restaurant lived there too. It's one of those spaces where you hope the next place finally sticks. But the food at Scratch Kitchen? Absolutely delicious. The kind of meal where the pictures alone make your mouth water. If "smell‑a‑vision" or "lick‑your‑screen" technology existed, everyone would understand exactly what I mean. Every dish was full of flavor, beautifully done, and perfect for a Mother's Day treat. Which is why I can't help but wonder what happened -- like so many restaurants before them in that same location. With food that good, you'd hope they'd be the ones to break the cycle. All in all, I'm grateful I got to enjoy that meal with my daughter. It was memorable, delicious, and one of those small moments you hold onto. Marie

Either way, it made for a super relaxed experience with no wait and plenty of space to spread out and enjoy the food. Loved: The street tacos with the tempura shrimp were easily the star of the meal. 100% worth it. Light, crispy shrimp with a flavorful slaw and just the right amount of heat--basically a flavor party in every bite. The burger was another quiet star. Juicy patties, nicely seasoned, and stacked just right. Nothing super flashy, but really satisfying. Definitely a good pick if you're not in the mood for brunchy stuff. The Miss: Tried the French toast and... meh. It looked great on the plate but tasted dry and definitely didn't live up to the level of the other dishes. Might've just been an off day or a matter of personal taste, but I'd skip it next time.

The pastries were just okay; we tried a few cake slices that were fine but unremarkable. The cinnamon roll was dry and hard, the malasadas were forgettable, and the haupia-filled malasada was surprisingly tart. It's possible some ingredients were locally sourced and just unfamiliar to our mainland palates, or maybe we simply caught them on an off day. The servers were curt but friendly, likely because the place was packed with tourists.

It was so sad this business is closing down by Oct 31st. With rising food costs, inflation and…read morestaffing, it's understandable but I wish best endeavors for Chef Jason Peel and his staff. My fiance won a gift card actually 2 of them (from his coworker whom could not get a reservation secured), we knew we had to make the trip over before they officially close. We had multiple dishes, but staff made Kauai prawns and tomato miso black cod dishes on the house since they ran out the Hokkaido scallops. We ordered the short ribs, lobster appetizer, hamachi crudo and lastly sashimi moriawase to finish food palate. Lukki lemon dessert was great way to end to night. Ordered the Milk tea bouquet cocktail while my better half had water ( either way the food coma knock him out cold the rest of the night lol). To be honest, it was difficult to determine which dish was the best because the staff kept quality there despite it being busy every night since they announce the closure. Sashimi moriawase, fish was so fresh, reminded me of my time spent in Hokkaido and Sapporo. Short ribs was soft and rich in flavor. Both me and my fiance liked the lukki lemon dessert, like lemon meringue pie but broken down version. If you have a chance to dine here before closing and got a reservation, definitely will have a lovely dining experience and your stomach will be full by end of the night.

The Corn Beignets was the best. - For entree we got: Tomato Miso Black Cod and the Short Rib. Both were delicious and worth a try. Sad to see that this restaurant appears to be closing.
