Wanted to try a new place today and found this place on Yelp. One of several locations this one is located at the Ohana Waikiki East. After climbing a flight of colorful painted steps we looked around and decided our first step was to grab the first table that opened up. The place was busy and full mostly with tourists which we could tell from the style of hair, tats and aloha shirts. I liked the "aloha" vibe which was fun and relaxed with greenery. They serve an assortment of waffles, sandwiches, açaí bowls, baked goods and coffee drinks and smoothies. If you want a traditional bacon and eggs with Portuguese sausage you have one option, The Morning Feast. Otherwise you can get the Sunnyside waffle which my friend got. It comes with eggs, bacon, toast, orange slices and a purple orchid from Thailand to make it look Hawaiian. I was disappointed they did not have the salmon Benedict or any of the Benedicts listed on their menu which they said was only served at a different location. My plan B was the Açaí waffle which like all the other dishes in the photos looked colorful and nicely plated. The little scoop of açaí and berries on top were fine but I was disappointed in the waffle which was slightly undercooked and a little too doughy for me. I like my waffles a little more crisp on the outside and to be able to cut them with a fork. We had to wait a while for the food and my friend was just about getting hangry when it arrived. This place is super cute and has great vibes! We were staying at the Ohana Waikiki East hotel, so this coffee shop was easy to find since it is in the lobby. If you aren't staying at the hotel I could see how it may be slightly difficult to find though as the entrance is a bit discreet. I think this makes for it to be a bit less busy though as I only really saw it busy (line down the stairs and out the door busy) once and that was on the weekend. The coffee here is very good as is the breakfast. I had the french toast and it was delicious. We ran out of time on our vacation so I never got to try the waffles, but based on the displays alone the waffles look incredible! Everything is reasonably priced as well. The staff was always very polite and friendly and they move quick, so we never waited too long. Located downstairs of our hotel- Ohana East, this coffee place did not disappoint. I love their Coco Choco Moca, Nutella Latte, and Aroma Amore! They have two entrances- a street entrance that has a stairway that is beautifully painted entrance from the street, and the hotel entrance on the lobby floor. (If you have a problem with stairs, go up the escalator to the hotel and walk into the lobby entrance). It is open from 6am to 2pm and today it was packed. Their coffee has a smoothness, and quality beans that you can taste as soon as u take your first sip. I have been going here every trip we book for the Honolulu Marathon. The prettiest cafe in all of Waikiki! It's located on the second floor with the colorful staircase leading from the outside ground level of the Ohana East hotel. I'm not even kidding when I say their Tropics bowl is the best açaí bowl I've ever had!! The granola is absolutely divine, açaí base is robust with flavor, and fruits on top are fresh and yummy. Coco choco mocha was a little too sweet for our liking without modifications, but with the addition of two shots it was the perfectly balanced refresher. Flavor was earthy and prominent but some edges were uncoated in honey making the $18.50 experience a bit disappointing and dry. Orange slices were sweet. *Tropical Breeze Acai: came with kiwi mango, strawberries, pineapple, coconut, almonds and bee pollen. Out of the two sizes, we selected the small which more than satiated our fruity cravings. Fruit was fresh and the acai tasted pure and without substitute or filler. *Pina Colada: oh boy was it boozy. Thick tropical goodness done right. Better than the average drink in Waikiki. We left a bit hungry after having a singular waffle each but I found the acai and pina colada to be memorable.
