We signed up for the service on May 20, 2022 for both an indoor and outdoor package. I'm very inquisitive, so I made sure to ask Chris plenty of questions + reviewed the contract in details. That same day, a technician was able to come treat our kitchen because he was in the area. February of 2023, we requested a technician to come spray inside our ENTIRE house for roaches (I made sure the phone rep knew we wanted every room sprayed). When the technician arrived, I went and sat in the backyard with my pup so they could treat our home in peace. 5 minutes later, the technician is gone. Turns out, all he did was lay down traps in a few corners. That was only the 2nd time we had a treatment indoors, so we canceled that portion. April 17, Lilly comes to spray outside. We pay for May, but our appointment was canceled due to some "unforeseen circumstances." We pay for June, but no one shows. Come July, I decided to cancel. The guy that answers offers to cover July's payment, add mice treatment to our package, and send Lilly to our home. She came on 07/11/23 and we haven't seen a technician SINCE. I purposely didn't pay because I wanted to make sure we'd see a technician that month. Nothing. I call on 11/28 after getting a bill for $192.77 and was told we owe $252.52. We were then offered a discount towards a 6 month package and the balance due would be applied to that. My line drops, I call back, and the guy that answers tries to upsell the same offer. I tell him I'd callback. I phone in again a few days later, and got in touch with the same lady that helped on 11/28. I explain at this point, we just want to cancel. I ask her why we owe anything when Hawx still owed us for 2 months of services. She takes about 20 minutes reviewing the account and explains she applied a $138 discount and closed the account, but we'll still be responsible for the $114 because I removed my payment method in February. It made no sense! It took me not only having to file a complaint with BBB, but rebutting their response (including attaching invoices, the service history, + receipts) before they FINALLY 0'd our account. I would not recommend Hawx at all. I called to get rodent control service. I stated several times over the phone that all I wanted was the rodent control at $2,500. I repeatedly explained that I did not want the basic pest control at $39.99/month. I paid for the rodent control and now they are charging me for the basic monthly pest since the document I signed did have that the rodent control and basic pest control was what I was signing for but I was assured that the basic pest control would be removed. It was not now I am being charged the cancellation fee of $199. Don't use Hawx pest control. They are expensive. DON'T SIGN ANY DOCUMENTS. read more

The service professionals are excellent. The product keeps the spiders, ants and crickets out of my house. The company has poor follow through. They tell you they will come quarterly when they are trying to get the contract and they don't show up. I saw online they had me scheduled for May. I never saw them in May. We are now in June, my contact is about to end and there are no appointments. They were able to draft $49 per month without any issue. A disappointment. This relationship will not be renewed. Update-my daughter saw a few ants creeping around on our landing and we resorted to good old Lowes. I think these things summoned the colony. read more

We have been paying monthly for quarterly services for a couple of years with Hawx. Last year, they simply stopped coming to provide the services. Each time we schedule a time for a service, no one shows up. When I inquire about a refund (or ANY remedy) for the many months we've paid with no service, I'm met with dishonesty and evasion. This is the worst pest control company. We sold our home in November 2023 and had to continue paying thru June 2024. Hawk refused to cancel our contract. We offered to send them our new lease and they wouldn't accept the lease because it was in my wife's name. They insisted we transfer service to a home we didn't own and which already had pest control service. Checking to verify we had moved would have been a simple tasks. But instead, we were stuck paying and dealing with non professional customer service representatives. We will NEVER EVER use this company or recommend. This is the WORST company you could use. They prey on people who just bought a home and offer a 1 year contract for $49 a month to come out and treat your home. Then you NEVER see them again. They take your money every month, so basically they're stealing. I have cameras and when they said they were going to come or that they were there, I'd look on the cameras and no one was there. In all honesty they need a class action lawsuit against them and should go bankrupt paying all of their "customers" back. I would like to thank Keenan Manley for his professional service. He did what I signed up for. Besides sending me photos of his work I was able to observe him as he did a professional job of protecting my home from bugs. Sometimes in the past I received no pictures or indication that anything had been done, even though I am here most of the time because I'm retired. I was never notified that anyone came. You get the feeling that you are paying for nothing. I could have had service, but there wasn't any way to know. Anyone who gets this service needs to know they are only coming to your home four times during the year. If you need them more, it is up to you to call them. All in all, I don't see many crawling bugs outside the house, but I'm not sure why. It seems there are plenty of ants in the yard, but you have to pay extra for that. I must commend Mr. Manley for making sure i was satisfied with his work, Thanks, Keenan for doing what others haven't. read more

I highly do not recommend Hawx Pest Control for any homeowner. I was deceived by the sales person when I signed up who never initially mentioned it is a subscription based service. He also never mentioned that I would be billed every month, or the billing frequency at all for that matter. He just told me the services were $39.99. I told him that the current company I was with at the time Rocket Pest Control Services was about $85 per quarter and he stated that Hawx is cheaper. But he FAILED to mention that the $39.99 fee is a monthly fee, not just the service fee for whenever they come out to your house (therefore making it way more expensive than the previous company I was with). He said it was per pest control treatment/visit. He then had me quickly sign paper work while I was on the phone with him so I never never had a chance to read all of the lengthy paperwork. I had never been asked by a salesperson from any company to hurry up and sign during the actual phone call. Most other companies usually email the forms/contract so you can actually read it & then sign it. But that's not the way this company works I guess. But when you are sales-rep, you are supposed to give full disclosure of what you are providing to the customer instead of leaving details out, and hoping they don't see THE TRUTH of their services while they are quickly asking you to sign during the actual call. He actually never emailed me anything! The only reason why I found out it was a subscription is because I called wondering when I was going to receive a bill for my first service I received (trying to be a law abiding citizen). And now I am stuck in a contract for an entire year and paying way more than I was with the previous company. I called the company to try to get out of the contract but the rep stated she couldn't. I'll never recommend this company to anybody and will be sure that I cancel the moment I am able to. They conduct bad business. THEY LIED! read more

This company does not live up to their end of the contract they have you sign. I signed up for this service in July because I was informed that the inside treatment was included (preventative measures) upon first technician coming out I was informed this company does not do inside cleanings (red flag) so they only did outside I reached out to person who signed me and advised what happened he informed me he would have another technician come out and do a full interior service when the technician came out he said what the first technician said. I reached out again to pest control on 09/10/2023 to inform him what happened and got no response so I followed up on 09/11/2023 got no response on 09/16/2023 I sent another message and was informed he had been moving around that week and would have someone come out and afterwards I did not hear from anyone so I sent another message 11 DAYS LATER 09/27/2023 and got no response. Finally I reached out to cancel the service and was told I could get a $10 credit!!!! I said that was not good enough for 3 months of bad service and they transferred me and up it to $35 and then finally got it to $55 and I asked to be transferred again to cancel upon talking to someone they said they would have a technician come out Saturday to do full service which I was happy about because I wanted to give it once last chance so they stated a tech would reach out when he was en route. Saturday came and no one sent a text that they were en route or that they needed to reschedule so I changed my plans for no reason at all. Upon calling again I was told that the technician daughter broke her leg but no concern for the fact I wasted my whole day and another technician was not sent out in place of him. I told the rep that I had given 3 chances to them and just wanted to cancel the rep informed me that even though I was canceling due to their negligence I would have to pay a $200 EALRY TERMINATION FEE!!!!!! I was not canceling due to something I did so to have to pay because the company did not do what was stated, and the contract is beyond belief. When I asked was there anyone else I could talk to I was told that there was no not. PLEASE AVOID THIS COMPANY!!!!!! The technicians listed that they sprayed the backyard each visit but they did not. The front yard still had the bug issues it had before hiring them. When discussing the issue they said they will believe their technicians over the customer(Understandable to a degree.). Instead of canceling, the sales rep told me the branch manager would either show up to spray the backyard or have someone else specifically come out and do it. Instead of that happening, no one contacted me, no one showed up, and they emailed me a cancellation finalization about a week later. Early cancelation fee is also $199.99. They claimed I canceled my February appointment, which I did not. Then, they canceled my next 2 and never came out. I requested service in June, before I went on vacation, and they promised to come out in the next 24-48 hours-- it never happened. Yet, they got my payment every single month and didn't miss one. I am being transferred every time and nobody is answering the phone to help me. I left a call back number and have yet to receive a call back call. I'd prefer to leave a zero star for the service. The technician that came out claimed multiple times that there wasn't a cancelation fee if I didn't like the service. Waited for the exterminators to take care of yellow jackets and got stung multiple times. They sprayed and the yellow jackets didn'teven leave. I had to go to Home Depot to take care of the problem. My dogs could have been killed. My family is allergic to bees. Tried to cancel and the phone rep literally laughed in my ear as he told me of the $200 cancelation fee. Even though the tech that got me to hire them stated that there wouldn't be a cancelation fee. The exterminators were very unprofessional and sprayed attractant in my yard and in my home not repellent. I've seen more bugs in and around my home after they sprayed and I had no problems before they arrived. It was so bad. Hawx Exterminator needs to go out of business. They threatened to send their exterminators to my home and make my problems worse on the very same phone call when I canceled. They are scammers. I signed up for Outdoor package paid the initial fee. Not even a month later evertlything the rep told me was a lie. Come to find out your are billed every visit despite them saying its a flat monthly fee and they come out no extra charge as many times as you need. Then I find out the rep signed my name for pest control which I didn't need. So they are charging $59.99 a month $720 a year for both Outdoor package and Pest Control total $1,440 plus every visit. Then I called to cancel now it's additional $199 early termination fee. They are trying to charge me $517.98 for future month service, coming out again for outdoor package in same month already paid for (June) and saying ifni dont have proof what rep said they not adjusting charges. read more

We received one service visit in 2023 after agreeing to receive services through them, then my mother passed away and the handling of her affairs became more important than figuring out what this company was doing. After that I received no additional visits for pest control. As time went on, I stopped using the email address I had been using the email address I had signed up with their services with. I didn't even realize this was going on. Company claims to have been calling me, but I never received a voicemail, never received a letter, no one came to our house. Lo and behold, over the last 6 months we have been charged been $572.55 for ONE VISIT to our home. I asked what the cancellation fee was on the phone with a representative this morning, it was $199. There is no clarity with the invoices, or as to why most of the charges on the card are for $30 or $11. Most of the invoices don't even have charges aside from "late fees". When asked for a refund for anything outside of the last fee, it was refused. So, after only receiving ONE VISIT, I was charged (with that one visit's service fee) over $600. Don't sign a contract, I've learned my lesson and I won't do it ever again. I've already filed a complaint with the BBB. Listen to the rest of these people writing about their problems with this company. It isn't worth it. read more

Only giving a 1 because the technicians were friendly. We never saw a change in mosquitos after 2 years of service. Called to cancel and was under the understanding that they were going to cancel, but then alas got a bill 7 months later on the autopay system. Called and asked to confirm cancelation and for a refund. Was told they would not be able to refund and not be able to honor the service for the bill - not sure how this is legal... if they can't refund, the service should be honored... calling better business bureau. They are extremely misleading, when you call them every CSR gives you a different answer. They charged me for a service that was supposed to be free, when I called and complained I was told I would be refunded that was a month ago and I have still not been refunded. Also bc of the "run around" I was getting my bill was to go from $90 a month to $65 they are still taking out $90. The final straw was I have to pay $250 to cancel this contract. Trust and believe that I can cancel on 9/25/23 with no penalty and that is exactly what I plan to do. They are awful. I would never recommend them for anything but the trash!!!! read more

DO NOT USE. They are liars and crooks. Terrible customer service. You pay them every month and they are supposed to show up at least once every 3 months and you can call to request more often if needed. Well I paid every month and they showed up for the first service and never showed up again. After missing two services, I called them - NO APOLOGY. I wanted to cancel my contract then since they refused to reimburse or credit me for the missed services but they wanted me to pay an early termination fee. So I elected to have my contract terminate at the end of the first year and be done with them. Except they did not cancel it and allowed it to renew and then kept charging me monthly. I caught this after they had stolen 2 monthly payments. I called them again to request a refund and they told me I had not cancelled my contract. They read me notes from the conversation I had with the acct manager (about cancelling) which were LIES, he did not record our conversation honestly. When I resent them the email requesting cancellation from 4 months ago, they promptly cancelled my contract that same day with no more talk of any early cancellation fees. But they did not issue any refund. I have now been calling them for two weeks trying to get the $120 they stole from me and, again, NO APOLOGY, not even a hint of sympathy and they refuse to let me speak to anyone in management. read more

I have been with Hawx Pest Control for 4 years; relatively I have had no issues. My problem started in April - June 2023 which should been a servicing quarter. I was never notified of my scheduled quarterly appointment to spray my house. I realized in July that they had not contacted me. I called to set up an appointment it cancelled via text message, called again and that appointment was cancelled via text message again with no explanation. It is extremely difficult to reach anyone in the hawk office because of the long wait time. I decided I needed to cancel the service because I am still paying monthly for a service I am not receiving. In addition to a rate increase in July that I was never notified, they indicated they sent an email, but I never received an email from them but I do receive an email acknowledging my payment every month. My last service date was March, 2023. I was able to cancel my account and I requested a refund for April, May, June and July. I was denied a refund because we pay month to month, which doesn't make any sense. This company have faithfully collected my money during the April- July timeframe and refused provide the service per their contract. This is an unfair, business practice, bordering on fraud. I would never recommend this company. read more
