    Loaded Fries
    Jessica C.

First things first, the food here is amazing! So amazing that I almost forgot to take a picture (as you can see by my half eaten picture). I got loaded fries with base sauce, the fries were perfectly seasoned, the sauce was amazing, great flavor, and the chicken tenders on top were chefs kiss ! I also got their little donut holes which were delicious. Also a side of their Mac and cheese, it was spiral noodles, and white cheddar cheese sauce. Sooo good. Updated to add better pictures! You know if I go back that means they are that GOOD!

Tried the sandwich, Mac and cheese and fries. Everything was delicious! Staff was super friendly. I chose the after burner sauce which was level 2. It had a kick but next time I'll try the scorpion one. I'm curious to try the tenders next time as well!

Popped in for lunch and got the chicken sandwich with what I would call spice level medium, along with crinkle cut fries and a drink. The Combo #1 meal was solid! And though not as large as some of the other "hot" chicken sandwiches I've had here recently, it was definitely flavorful which is a big win! I really wanted to try the tenders as well, but I resisted ordering that at the time, but I definitely would return for those just to try them with their house sauce. Overall, it was a nice dining experience with friendly staff who were engaging and a nice, convenient location with plenty of parking.

Need to check them out on a Sunday!

Well, we finally got a chance to visit HCK, and it won't be our last time! We both ordered the chicken sandwich with a side of fries to share. My husband got the Medic (appropriately named), the hottest sauce, and I ordered the After Burner, 3rd hottest. The chicken was great, not a pre-formed piece of meat, juicy, and nicely crisp on the outside. The heat on mine was the perfect level. It hit me on the first bite but then was ok. I felt the cole slaw and pickle on top cooled the whole thing down a bit and added a nice crunch. The fries were mildly flavored, and the dipping sauce added to the overall taste. Service was good and the place was clean. Need to go back to take advantage of their Sunday special. Next time I'll try the chicken fingers. 2023-118

Wow! When they say their hottest sauce is HOT it truely is. I like real spicy hot foods so when I ordered the chicken sandwich I ordered it with their Carolina Reaper sauce named Medic. I have had foods that had this pepper in it so I thought how hot could it be. I'm glad that I waited until I got home to eat it because it would have been embarrassing scene if I had eaten it in the restaurant. OMG, I got home sat down to enjoy my sandwich, I took a bite and I have to say it was the hottest thing I ever ate. Congrats to HCK for being the one that took down the hot food king. I don't know if as I get older my taste buds have become more sensitive or what but I was calling for a "Medic" (the appropriate name of this sauce). After I regained my composure I still wanted to enjoy the sandwich so I rinsed off most of the sauce and finished it. Although the rinsing took away most of the crunch, the chicken was very good. I definitely will be going back but next time I'm bringing the heat level down one notch. If you or someone you know also claims to be able to take any heat level then go their and order the Medic, if you dare. Regardless of your tolerance for heat, this place is a must try.

Very solid chicken sandwich. The slaw was very good. Got it with the cayenne infused sauce, and I definitely could have gone a bit hotter. Loved the potato bun and the crinkle fries! Normally, I do not order mac and cheese out, but I must say their mac and cheese was delicious! Creamy and cheesy with flavor was actually the favorite thing I ordered.

I'm so impressed with this restaurant!! I ordered catering from here and I honestly am recommending them to everyone! The owner was an absolute dream to work with and the food was amazing! We ordered the Coop 2 package, which is for 20 people. The owner allowed me to take the coleslaw off the order and upgrade to full pans of mac and cheese and fries for no charge, which was so convenient and helpful! He was attentive, so nice, and made everything easy. The food itself was delicious and I am already excited to eat the leftovers. The chicken tenders were huge, tender, and spicy but not overwhelmingly so. The sandwiches were incredible and the combination of chicken, coleslaw, and pickles was so good. The mac and cheese was very creamy, and the fries were seasoned well and a huge hit!! Everyone at our party was impressed and my sister-in-law is calling them about catering tomorrow! Do yourself a favor and give this place a try!!!

We passed this place on the way to Tully's and we decided to try it. Man are we glad we did! The chicken and waffles was amazing! The chicken was perfectly crispy and juicy. The cashier was a bit short with us and not that friendly, but over all this was a good place! HCK has a few tables set up for dining in and it has a good space for a small family

Man this was a good sandwich! Closest I've had to anything from Nashville! The sauce was super tasty and the butter roll was awesome as well. The chicken was superb crunchy and flavorful throughout. The mac and cheese is super good as well! My fiancé tried the chicken and waffles and it was delish as well! The prices were great and everything came out very quickly. Can't wait to come back again!

I came on OPENING Day and they just got everything right!!! I ordered my chicken sandwich with the 2nd hot sauce out of 4 heat levels (after burner). I was honestly surprised at how mild it was! Next time I would like to try the next hottest one- angry hot! The fries were yummy- especially dipped in the good sauce (that comes on the side with your meal). The mac and cheese was also delicious- I would liked to get the loaded Mac next time! If you can't tell I highly recommend this place and I will be back!

    Casual atmosphere with 9 tables.

Buffalo gets to welcome the 7th franchise in the HCK Hot Chicken family and this Buffalonian is happy for it! We ordered the chicken tender combo, with Afterburner sauce for Himself and an order of chicken tenders with Base sauce for me. The base sauce had enough of a kick for me but certainly not uncomfortable. Our order got to our table in 12 minutes after being freshly prepared and was delivered piping hot. The chicken tenders were large, super crispy, juicy and perfectly sauced. I was able to eat only one but Himself enjoyed both of his. The fries. Oh, the fries! First you need to know that I am not a fry girl at all. I usually only enjoy a couple of them off of His plate but I went face down on these. They are ultra crispy due to a special seasoning and natural rice coating and served with what HCK Hot Chicken calls their "good sauce". With tip our bill was just at $25. We'll definitely be returning when the hankering for great fried chicken is upon us.

As the line was extremely long on the weekend HCK opened, we decided to try their chicken this week. If you order online, know that your chicken will be ready well before the 20 minute time slot they mention. They do a great job explaining all their different flavors, and theyve done a good job with their sauces. I ordered their chicken tenders in their spiciest and the second most spiciest flavor. My wife ordered hers in their third most spiciest flavor. As much as I love spicy, considering my background, I'm not fond of habanero flavors, which was apparent in the spiciest flavor. This was still the best habanero based sauce I've had. I was a fan of their second most spiciest sauce. My wife found her third most spiciest sauce too mild, but mine a little spicy. We think they didn't add enough sauce to her tenders. We also ordered their Nashville style sandwich, which was an absolute mess, as mentioned in other reviews. The flavor is good, but the coleslaw compromises the sandwich. If they worked on this, this would be the best sandwich in Buffalo, not that it isn't already. This is still the best place I have found in Buffalo for good spicy chicken. Edit: The spiciest sauce has Carolina Reaper in it, which is a hybrid of the Naga and Habanero. I'm usually not fond of the habanero flavor, but still love all their sauces.

I had heard good things about Naked City Pizza, so I decided to take a break from my usual spots and give them a try and overall, I am very pleased! I called around 4:45pm on a Saturday and a gentleman took my order. He was courteous and friendly and said my order would be ready in 25-30 minutes. I arrived about 30 minutes later, easily finding a parking spot in their large parking lot, which is a mixture of pavement and dirt/gravel. Walking inside the shop, it's similar to most Buffalo pizza shops where it's relatively small and really about take-out, not for dining in. There were a few young guys working the counter and ovens, they were able to get me in and out quickly. From the limited time I was inside, the workers were friendly enough, they seemed to get along well. For dinner, I ordered a Quarter Sheet (6 slices) Steak and Three Cheese pizza but the gentleman who took my order over the phone put my order in as a Half Sheet (12 slices). They realized the mistake too late and gave me the Half Sheet for the Quarter Sheet price! I really do appreciate that, it's great customer service. I have half a pizza leftover for a quick dinner now! Naked City Pizza nails the traditional Buffalo-style with a doughier undercarriage and nice crispy, chewy crust. The dough was airy but it didn't seem as "heavy" as many other pizza places around Buffalo, but maybe I was just REALLY hungry. haha For their steak pizza, it seems like they use thicker pieces of steak, which was great, definitely felt more substantial. Most steak pizzas come topped with banana, hot, or sweet (bell/green) peppers, but Naked City uses roasted red peppers, which are sweet and have a more distinct flavor and softer texture - I was impressed, this paired VERY well with the other components! Along with them, there's also onions on top. The three cheeses used are cheddar, mozzarella, and parmesan, which of course are delicious. In addition to the roasted sweet peppers, the other component that I was surprised by was the white garlic sauce as the base. Steak pizzas around Buffalo vary from using a "hoagie oil/sauce" to just a huge variety of cheeses, no base sauce of any kind. I tend to stay away from white sauce on pizza as it's usually associated with garlic (I don't want my breath to be too... fragrant haha), but this wasn't too garlic-y, I didn't feel like I was "wearing it". I enjoyed the added creaminess the white sauce added to this pie. After six slices, I stopped myself and put the other half in the freezer. The six slices I had were delicious and filled me up nicely - The squares were cut nicely and they were plenty filling with tons of meat and cheese. I have a feeling these will reheat in the oven nicely. Looking at the prices, I was impressed too with how affordable Naked City Pizza is! All-in-all, I'm glad I gave Naked City Pizza a chance and had a great experience! The staff are friendly enough and quick, it's easy to get in and out quickly, and the pizza is traditional Buffalo-style so it's on the heartier end while being affordable. I look forward to ordering and trying a red sauce pizza from Naked City Pizza to see how sweet their sauce is.

Not really any I side seating, but outside tables if weather cooperates. And a decent size shared parking lot next door. A little pricey but with the dough

My Dad and I used to visit Boston Market (particularly this location and the Delaware Avenue…read morelocation) quite often during its last few years in business. We had a sixth sense that the chain wasn't doing so good, which was a shame because their recipes for their food were wonderful. They were one of, if not the only, rotisserie chicken restaurants left in town that really put a nice spin on their food's taste ever since Swiss Chalet left Buffalo years ago. I'm aware that Swiss Chalet is still available in Canada, and that you simply need to cross the Canadian border to eat at Swiss Chalet again. But...let's be honest, after September 2001, no one has ever said that crossing the Canadian border is an easy task. Technology has come far, let me tell ya...you can see most every advancement in technology ever made as you slowly drive up to that interview podium on the other side of the Rainbow Bridge, recording your every move and every word... But enough about the difficulties of crossing into Canada. Boston Market was previously owned by Sun Capital Partners, before selling the business to the Rohan Group. This is important because Dad and I used to have good memories of Boston Market when the company was owned by Sun Capital, and each firm before that, because those companies knew to keep the food recipes consistently tasty throughout their run. Emphasis on "consistent". Just like how McDonald's makes the same Big Mac recipe at each location, Boston Market used to have standard recipes for how to specifically cook and prepare each food item, so that the taste of each batch of food was consistent with the batch prepared before it. Dad and I were devastated to find out that Boston Market shut down most, if not all, of their locations across the country back in 2023 due to financial problems. And we were just as shocked to find out that Boston Market was making a big comeback in 2025, with the Maple Road location being the first to reopen its doors. In fact, the owner plans to open up to 10 locations across the Buffalo area. Wow! Ten locations? What a deal! Ten spots across Buffalo to enjoy some delicious rotisserie chicken, mac and cheese, creamed spinach, and their decadent (albeit inconsistent in pillowy soft-to-rock hard textured) cornbread! And then came that fateful day when we visited Rohan Group's newly reopened Boston Market on Maple Road... ...the horror... To start off, the employees were scrambling all over the place inside. Dad even saw one employee (with gloves on, at least) digging his hands into some chicken and eating it, multiple times. The employee was in full view of the customers that were ordering. It took about five minutes for the employees to even acknowledge us for an order. Not because they were hiding in the back. They fully saw us. They were just fidgeting around with slowly fulfilling other orders while consistently ignoring us. An employee tried three times to reach into the glass case to pick up a hot metal tray of creamed spinach, without any gloves on to protect her from potential burns. The menu and side items looked a little different through the (smaller) glass case, but at first I thought it would be fine, as long as the food tasted the same as it used to when Sun Capital owned it. After ordering, we found out only after paying for my drink that the soda fountain was down, and that we needed to get our drinks via pre-packaged cans and bottles in the freezer up front. This was not only awkward, but now, I was limited to one small bottle of soda with my meal instead of unlimited refills of soda. The food came packaged in this sketchy-looking plastic take-out case, instead of the food being on plates as we were used to, but fine. As long as the food was still the same quality, I'd be fine paying $22 for my 12 oz soda and my take-out case filled with food. Oh, God...I have to talk about the food now... Remember when I said that Sun Capital's Boston Market used to make the chicken taste so good and unique (which was the main reason we came back to eat there)? Well, not any more! The rotisserie chicken, the main star attraction of the place, now tastes like a generic Tops Market rotisserie chicken that you can buy for like $6. And what baffles me even more than the change in taste is that you're still paying as premium of a price for your chicken at Boston Market now as you were back when Sun Capital owned it! Gotta love that post-Covid inflation pricing! Sun Capital's Boston Market was already expensive enough, but at least you knew you were paying for quality. And this isn't quality. The sweet potatoes were liquidy and had waaaay too much sugar and cinnamon in them. Stupid Yelp character limit!!! Parts 2 & 3 of the review can be seen via the attached pictures.

Food isn't bad, not as good as I remember, but pretty good. Owner needs to bring in some personall that remember how Boston Market used to be run. Just need to give it some time.
