I've unfortunately had experiences with several other bad and very shady rat companies. There are alot of them out there. ProTex honors their work and I didn't hesitate to have them do work for my dad when he had an issue. I scheduled a visit and fumigation for today 4/7 (this was also coordinated with my apartment property management group). I set aside time for this appointment from 9am-11am, I have a regular 9-5 job so I had to coordinate time off for this visit. I checked in with your team at 9:30am for an eta, and hour later at 10:30am I was informed I would need to reschedule the appointment due to an access issue which your team knew since 9:01am. My issue here is 2 parts, one I was not given the courtesy of informing me the appointment would be canceled (which your team knew for an hour and a half). So I wasted my time off and I wasn't given the courtesy early on that the appointment was canceled or needed to be rescheduled. My 2nd issue is that there was no access issue as the technician stated because I was able to access my apartment without a problem. After talking with your staffing about how unprofessional this was, at 10:50 I was told the technician was on route, (so the access issue was not a problem?). So I canceled my already canceled appointment, I wasn't going to waste more of my time. Then to top it off, my apartment property management group told me that if I reschedule and cancel the appointment when the tech is on route, I would need to pay a trip fee. How ridiculous and absurd that I should be responsible for your teams lack of communication, accountability, and unprofessionalism. Instead of taking the opportunity to correct a negative experience your team doubled down. I would need to take time out of my day and job, to accommodate your team again, which has already proven they are unreliable and will point the finger at the customer. Terrible customer service, a complete lack of respect for your customer's time, and simply unreasonable.

During the process, I came in contact with about a half dozen team members, all of whom were friendly, professional, and personally concerned with our wellbeing. That was important because I found that ridding a home of rodents is not easily achieved. The initial step was to survey the house, seal potential entry sites, then set the traps. The HS team completed the process and set up an appointment to check the traps. after a couple visits, we still heard the vermin scratching around. So, HS brought in a senior inspector who found a few open areas I never would have thought to identify (openings between the outside wall and the foundation that were tucked up underneath the visible area). Those areas were sealed and within ten days, we no longer heard anything. I check of the traps today revealed a large intruder had been eliminated. Home shield performed like partners in our quest to eliminated rodents from our home. They came back as often as needed without complaint and escalated appropriately to assure our problem was solved. And importantly, they never once questioned our reports of hearing critters.
